Vanessa is beautiful in person, her skin is perfect, matched by her sweet nature. And ladies if you dont poop every day at least once, your skin shows it.
To be factually correct, there is a HUGE difference between retinol esters and retinoic acid esters. HPR, a retinoic acid ester, binds to retinoid receptors and is active in just one conversion unlike retinol esters.
God I love how much Cassandra has taught me so far. I will say that as someone with a very sensitive eye area I do love my eye creams ( simple ones, I'm in love with the la-roche tolerine ultra) as whenever iv tried to use moisturisers under my eyes I tend to get red bumps after 2-3 uses. I also have quite dry undereyes so I definitely need to moisturiser those bad boys on the regular haha
Having based my skincare off of MANY of your wonderful videos thus being a skintellectual ;) my favorite moment during this video was when Vanessa said she had dry skin and then proceeded to use retinoids and I just went huuuh; because you have taught me so much about skincare ingredients that I immediately knew she was speaking nonsense! I love it, thank you and great content as always!
Have you tried the Rovectin Activating Treatment Lotion? It's one of my favourite hydrating products. It's meant to be a toner/essence, by it's actually quite viscous like a serum. It's also super hydrating and has several weights of HA, niacinamide, adenosine, caffeine, allantoin, panthenol, arginine, licorice root extract, Papaya extract, trehalose and more. I just wanted to mention this because you mentioned that you liked caffeine in your products and it reminded me of this.
Cassandra, just so you know, I learnt a lot of things watching your videos and every time I watch your videos I will always smile. Thank you so so much ❤️
Can you make a review of Know Beauty? Not the other products she used just the Know Beauty ones. I took the quiz on their website and they have different products based on the skin type and concern which I kinda liked
11:17: The ingredient list on her "Know" website lists Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate as the retinoid. Apparently, a good one. Is a cosmetic-grade ester of retinoic acid and binds easily to retinoic acid sites in the skin without the irritation often common to the enzyme-conversion process of the other retinoids. Don't know what concentration is necessary, but other products on the market also contain HPR, as it is called.

I'm a bit bothered that this "go to bed with me" was done when it's clearly still bright and sunny out, so it seems too damn early for a night time routine. But maybe that's just me because I refuse to remove my sunscreen until I can see stars in the night sky. But that may be why she still looks like she has eye makeup on after cleansing...it's not really nighttime yet and she probably got things to do still.
@@carolinatorres7575 I was just visiting my In-Laws in Southern California and you’re definitely right, I think it goes down a tiny bit earlier, like 7 or 8 but that’s definitely still night time 😂

I’m so sorry, but what can happen if u get moisturizer or sunscreen in ur eye? U mentioned that u shouldn’t have blurry vision cuz that means it’s getting in ur eye, in certain holes and glands, and I’m just curious cuz this happens to be often when putting on moisturizer on my eye lids and sunscreen cuz I sweat and it gets in there 😳
It can cause irritation to the eyeball, surrounding tissues inside the area (conjunctiva covering the eyeball and the inner eyelid) and glands. maybe try less product on the lids themselves. - I’ve also experienced that with sunscreens across the eyelids. A few times during the day Ive felt my eyes burning and becoming irritated and red. Once I used significantly less product when it came to the actual eyelid it helped

Vanessa Hudgens is a half native American and half Filipina descent. She plays a role in High School Musical and the Broadway musical. She's so beautiful! 😍❤️
I have a question. Shouldn't skincare be made with a chemist + a dermatologist + perhaps an esthetician (have no idea how to write that). Because like Cassandra said in a previous video, aren't dermatologists the mechanics of your "car", and therefore know about skin diseases, but wouldn't exactly know about less "medical" ingredients, like the ones in the regular skincare we use? Honest question, I'm just trying to figure out exactly the kind of people I want behind my skincare.
Skincare is almost always developed by a team of product development professionals that scan the market for “white space” or just determine what the company should have in their lineup based on trends and cosmetic chemists who know how to formulate and we will develop the formula based on years of research and PD’a direction on what they envision the product to be. I’m a cosmetic chemist that works for a cosmetic company currently, but we do have skincare and I’ve worked primarily in skincare in the past. Dermatologists aren’t usually in the mix and they don’t normally need to be because we develop based off of medical research and our own testing. The likely situation here was that Vanessa teamed up with a contract manufacturer, told them what she wanted and they did it because she was the boss and she called the shots. Even though she clearly has no knowledge of skin and skincare ingredients, whatever team she partnered with obviously didn’t tell her “hey, that’s nonsense, we shouldn’t do that” and just took one of their base formulas and added the trend ingredients she wanted to appease her. Sadly, this happens a lot. Even if the VP of a skincare company wants to jump on a not-so-effective or even harmful trend, the team just has to make it happen. I’ve been in this position before and it sucks to have to do something you know is wrong to keep your job, but it’s rampant in the market. Happy to provide more details if you want! 😁❤️
@@Peanut_taco_muffin this was highly interesting, thank you so much for sharing and for spending so much time writing this comment! I never spent too much time thinking of what or who goes behind a skincare line, but to think a dermatologist would help with something that's not really their area of concern (while still being in their best interest of course) kinda made me stop and think for a moment. I don't usually fall for famous people skincare lines, or hair products, because like you said the products are usually just a concoction of the ingredients that are currently in fashion 😂 thank you once again for your insight!

HPR is in the active state and binds directly to retinoid receptors on the skin. It is never turned into retinol. Very little evidence that it works as well as retinol though. It is a retinoic acid ester - not an ester of retinol. There is also retinyl retinoate which breaks apart into retinol and retinoic acid
How about instead of attacking Vanessa or Madison we attack the DERMATOLOGIST from HARVARD who is collaborating with them?? They are being advised by her and she is doing more of the ingredient side, not vanessa and not madison, they trusted her to make a good brand for their fans.
Fantastic point. These celebs are educated in acting, public speaking, and performing. They know as much about skincare formulation and cosmetic chemistry as any other normal person. Criticize the chemists and brands who SHOULD know better, rather than the spokesperson who handles the PR side.

Right? I now they are experts but isn't it also known that our gut health can affect our skin and other organs? And grown humans aren't really supposed to consume milk that is produced for other animals so to me it makes sense why it can throw of some people's gut and therefore make them break out. Obviously doesn't affect everyone.

Vanessa is beautiful in person, her skin is perfect, matched by her sweet nature. And ladies if you dont poop every day at least once, your skin shows it.
Every second ur reaction changes..and I'm lovin it...your facial gestures says something like "ughhhh...enough with these products"
Can you make a video on your favorite plant collagen products? Supplements, foods, skincare, whatever
I’m very comfortable with the energy we have created in the studio today. ✨
I just wanna know why you, as a millennial, Cassandra - HOW HAVE YOU NEVER WATCHED HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL?!?!
Hahaha I didn’t either lol I was just never into musical. There are people like that; dislike the cheesy stuff she did with zac Efron
@@missjXiao high school musical wasnt even for the Musical vibe, it was an iconic movie.
I had to Google who this actress is..
I haven't seen hs musical either...js
Cos some millennials were already too old for it when it came out? Oldest millennials are now reaching 40!
When you popped tf off about the eye cream I felt it in my pancreas sis.
LOVE the "level up" theory. Great way to phrase it
Yess we need a "truth about know beauty" video!!!!@
I love your channel and videos! ❤ I'm not really into skincare that much but you bring so much positive and vibrant energy to your videos and it's a breathe of fresh air for me as I've been having a really rough couple of months
I love your personality! You’re so authentically you, and nobody can say nothing when you’re authentically being you 🌈☀️
i never get bored of your reaction videos since they are always filled with science & fun!!
Bruh she didn't remove all of her smokey eye make up

please give us a video on “Pacifica” skincare line 🙏🏻 it keeps popping up on my suggestions for vegan skincare and I want your opinion on it , you’re seriously the reason I stopped having so much acne / flare ups ! 😭
I know you’ve been sans makeup in your videos for a while now, but can I just say I appreciate it so much and it’s so refreshing!
I consume a lot of dairy in Italy where I live and never had acne problems while consuming it (i do suffer with acne).
But when I consume dairy in the US my skin just goes CRAZY... It is truly horrible
So many sassy vibes in this vid, I love it!!
Vanessa Hudgens is a half native American and half Filipina descent. She plays a role in High School Musical and the Broadway musical. She's so beautiful! 😍❤️
Sorry Vanessa you can’t erase that fragrance filled Neutrogena Grapefruit Cleansing Scrub from your skincare history.
Cassandras expressions when listening t these celebs speak.. ❤️😂 Priceless
@@eduardaarrais of course, happy to help! 😊😊😊

I love what you said about aging!! I will think about it that way from now on! I just turned 27 and can feel some type of quarter life crisis panic about getting older as I see myself start to not look as good as I used to in my eyes lol. Always have to remind myself about this!❤️

Lol so sick of these celebrities who know NOTHING about skincare promoting their lines. I'm a 26 year old who works retail and I know more about skincare than a co-founder of this line. Smh.
I'll be honest....I can't vibe with the "sassy"-but-actually-bitchy / overtly sarcastic personas in the UA-cam skincare community. That's just a personal preference. However, it's very evident that Cassandra is extremely knowledgeable, has a positive-as-all-hell attitude behind the copious sarcasm, and comes from a place of genuine passion for the subject. It is often clear when a skincare youtuber is being condescending purely for the sake of bolstering their own ego (under the guise of being concerned and virtuous), but Miss Bankson seems to genuinely abhor corporate deceit and harmful misinformation. And for that reason I always click on her videos. :-)
@Fond baby stop with the stupid promo ffs

Her products: literally an essay of ingredients 🤦

I just found your channel by accident and I've been hooked every since. I have never really taken care of my skin I should have. When I was younger I had a very bad habit of going to sleep with my makeup on. I did a peel mask here and there and used makeup wipes and soup and water. I was very lucky I've never had acne problems and thought I don't need to do anything. I wanted to let you know you have inspired me to go out and buy a bunch of new skin care products. I want to thank you for being awesome honest and inspiring. I would love to hear what you think of the products I've bought. Thank you!!!💜

We want a teen skincare video...😊😊
She has videos on teen acne skincare.
I love Vanessa personality! Skin care is self care :)
Why start a skincare brand if you don’t know shit about it!? Also why put your name on something that you’re not 100% behind. Influencers just wanna sell you products lol
Because the dermatologist is not posting any videos … so…
Yeah but why even get a skincare line if u not a derm, chemist or someone who has the authority to formulate, why get yourself into something potentially scandalous if u know nothing about the subject. Stick to the things that u know. U don't see derms building skyscrapers
It's not ethical of them to get involved in something they know nothing about either. It's a money grab
Can we get a whole video on the dairy and skin thing? I was off dairy for the first portion of my life because I get eczema flare ups on my hands and my mom said that when I was young, keeping me off of dairy seemed to help just a little bit.

Every derm says that dairy do not cause acne but all the people I know (and me too) got huge improvements after cutting milk and cheese out
Right? I now they are experts but isn't it also known that our gut health can affect our skin and other organs? And grown humans aren't really supposed to consume milk that is produced for other animals so to me it makes sense why it can throw of some people's gut and therefore make them break out. Obviously doesn't affect everyone.
Lol Yes, level up is a way better saying than aging!! Thank you for all your great info! 🙂
The bubble mask is a ripoff of the bliss mask! It’s the same color and everything! At least bliss’s mask is vegan

Now I will have to make some more after seeing your notification because apparently I was not "happily caffeinated" enough!! Your fault totally but I digress!! Now we sit and diss her.
I tried cutting back and it didn't work lol. But, I found new method if drinking it, I buy oatmilk with vanilla in it, heat it up, add a spoonful of instant coffee, and add some creamer (I add vanilla creamer) and legit tastes like a cappuccino with expresso.

Did you say “working out ages your skin faster?” Doesn’t that depend on the exercise and how long you exercise? In some cases, can’t exercise make you age slower?
She was giving an example of breathing! JEESH
@@greener336 I’m just asking a question…just a simple question. Maybe she knows something I don’t…🤗
I think she meant it ages your skin not your body probably because the sweat and the way you squint your face when exercising.. I was thinking the same thing too
I mean I imagine that exercise helps your insides ‘age slower’/keep healthy but especially outside workouts could make your skin age a little bit faster
