I really love that you mentioned acne and whole hormonal health. I would LOVE to hear more about how you regulated your hormones for less acne and how long it took. It’s the HARDEST thing for me to do.
Agree. I dislike the focus on acne solutions always being skincare/topical products, when it reality acne/persistent breakouts can just disappear out of the blue for good with no real explanation. I looked at my diet and wondered if I'd eaten anything different or changed skincare and the answer is 'nope'. It all just stopped at the start of the C-19 pandemic, and the only thing I did differently is stopped wearing foundation on a daily basis for two years. I think it's got to have something to do with it but other than that, I feel the same as you and would love to know why acne and zits just magically stop for no reason (or start for 'no reason'). A new skincare routine has also kept my skin looking the best it has in over a decade. PS= Ages ago I had something called mallassezia folliculitis (aka 'fungal acne') triggered by new K beauty stuff I bought and with tonnes of research I figured out that I had to toss loads of stuff out and switch to using Nizoral (yes, the pink anti-dandruff shampoo!!) as face wash on a once-daily basis until I'd used up two bottles. Then the 'treatment' was done. IT WORKED! There's a website where a really cool person has comprehensively listed products and ingredients to AVOID if you're trying to treat fungal acne, so please do look for it so you don't accidentally keep buying things that trigger your issues and keep you in a redundant, frustrating cycle. Good luck either way in 2024 and I hope you find YOUR magic recipe. 🙏💖
Just putting it out there-subliminal affirmations for perfect skin and beauty on Borlest work wonders. If you’ve never tried it, now’s the time. You’ll be amazed at the difference!
13:56 I would LOVE to see someone compare using the $350 LED masks with using a red light/near IR bulb daily. The ones from Hooga are $45 and making that known widely could make phototherapy more widely available:)
I definitely see that vit c doesn’t work for everyone but it was a game changer for me. My skin responds so well to it, and I’m still on a mission for a holy grail!
Absolutely the same, I use Ordinary Vitamin C with vitamin F and that makes my skin so pure and fresh. But I do agree that you need to be constant with it in order to get that glow. It is not going to vanish overnight but the more you use it the better your skin gets.
Same here. I just finished a bottle of the goodal green tangerine vita c and started another one; I quite like its formulation but I also wonder if there’s better out there 😊
Try Prequel’s Vitamin C serum. They were able to get around Skin Ceuticals patent and it’s only $26.00 vs. $183.00 for the Skin Ceuticals. I swear by it!
I wanted to share this treatment for age spots and to see if anyone has any other ideas. My dermatologist was over 70 but he had a fabulous treatment for age spots on the tops of hands, etc. it was quick, painless, and sometimes he didn’t even charge me if I came in for something else. The tool he used looked identical to the one that burns off warts. It was very cold so maybe liquid nitrogen? The spots lightly scabbed and then fell off taking the age spots with them! When my dear dr. died, I booked an appt. to have his partner do the same treatment - but he didn’t know how to do it! The secret died with my dr. friend. ): I went to a third dermatologist and described the treatment. This fellow hadn’t heard of it either but agreed to give it a try. He just tried it on one spot. It didn’t feel the same - as in it was too cold or something. It took off the age spot but went into deeper layers of my skin than the other treatment. It created a little scar. It has healed so it’s not very visible but I gave up pursuing it. I’m always very careful to put sunscreen on my hands when I go outside especially travelling in the car. My sister has had a lot of skin cancer that has had the be treated so I figured getting rid of my age spots was getting ahead of a possible problem - with the added bonus of younger looking hands. One comment about adult acne. I got acne on my cheeks (face) in my mid 30s. My dr. said it’s hormonal if it shows up as an adult in that way. I used a Retin-A generic. It took care of the acne as well as a large brown spot the size of a quarter.
Vitamin C is very important for me as Thai (and people who lives near equator😅) It’s play the main role for antioxidants in daytime besides sunscreen. UV index in my country is usually over 10, that sunscreen can’t handle perfectly. Like.. double barrier❤
I live in an American country with a part in the North Hemisphere and another in the South. I live very far from the Equator line, but we do get from frost/ snow very low UV index to extreme heat +10 UV index in my state! Living in different climates and UV indexes through my state, I unfortunately can not tolerate vitamin c very well… Don’t know why! I started in good terms with it, but now my skin just can’t! Tbh, Summer is the time VC seems to work the worse to me! Meanwhile, I can tolerate retinol and those stuff pretty fine! I think it goes from individual to individual!
I made a similar list last year and I think I'm going to keep with it. Out: Vitamin C, Niacinamide and Hyaluronic acid specific serums - These three are found in almost every multi-serum or cream nowadays and their effects isn't that impressive to be splurging on having seperate serums for each. Acne products - I've also recently managed to biohack my skin so I get much less breakouts. I've also always felt like skincare for dry skin has been better for me. Skincare tools - In my twenties I did spend a large sum on tools that eventually just layed dormant or even was damaging for my skin in the long run. While I feel a bit fomo over infra-red LED masks, I'm very hypochondric about exposing my eyes to certain wavelenghts of light. In: Facials and non-invasive treatments - Going in once a month would be my ideal, but aiming for 1-3 times a year as my skin is in pretty good shape. Skincare that targets multiple concerns - Moving away from products that focus on 1-2 ingredients and offering more of a buffet, with the exception of retinoids. Eye cream - Never felt like I needed one until now. Specifically, eye creams that don't just focus on hydration but do a little more. Luxury skincare - I spent many years on a low budget so I'd like to explore what high-end brands have to offers. But also, my skin has improved a lot since incorporating more expensive skincare in my routine. Rice Ferment extracts & hydration - I've seen a huge difference in the temperament of my skin since focusing more on hydration and pre-/probiotics in skincare. Healthy skin is hydrated skin with good micro-flora.
Good points. I recently purchased more luxury brand and on expensive side skin care products like chanel, dior, estee lauder. I use on daily and my go to skincare products from chrissie that has less pricy products but also very pricy products. I have combination and sensitive skin. I started to use retinoil recently as I have fine lines forming in eye area. I recently tried to search for vitamin c product or other serums but I think I will avoid them. I already use mangelic acid for peeling that suitable for sensitive skin and it is quite pricy but it does not make my skin worse. I also bought cooling gel pads for eyes and eye cream just for morning. Also moisturizers. I am curious about what probiotics you use, can you share it?
Thank you Fel for saying it! My skin does not respond well to vitamin C AT ALL!! I’ve spent hundreds of dollars trying to find a formula that would actually do something, but once I found Sulwhasoo ginseng serum that was it for me-no more vitamin C!
same and spent so many years to find the right one. For now the only brightening serum that works well is Caudalie vinoperfect for me. Leaving comment for those who r still struggling and wondering if there's any problem with them. Vitamin C is not always helpful for those with sensitive or acne prone skin.🎉❤
I recommend anything Medik8 make. I have seriously reactive, sensitive skin which scars and takes ages to heal from reactions and trauma and this brand is sensational. I hope you'll give it a try. At night their Crystal Retinal range, starting from the lowest strength, and then during the day their vitamin C & Ferulic serum with a moisturiser and SPF. I'd bet money you'll seriously love something Medik8 have.
Don’t sleep on microneedling and laser! Highly recommend! I’m not bothering with Vit C anymore either - makes me break out! been using azelaic and tranexamic acids and these have been better. And niacinamide toner to keep the oily down. I will def go check out those sunscreen patches too
Tower 28 (spray and serum) are also good for most rosacea people! Avoid the moisturizer, though. It has two big potential rosacea triggers. But in HOCL we trust.
I'm turning 26 tomorrow and ngl this video triggered anxious emotions in me, I suffer from adult acne and my gut is trash and I'm still healing from ed, I'm really hoping to succeed like you guys 💪🏻
you’ve totally got this! small steps, long term vision! getting older is not as scary as it seems and I’m a ed recovery! you’re doing better than you think 🥰
I am also in gut health journey, I totally recommend this book Gut: The Inside Story of Our Body's Most Underrated Organ by Julia Enders. It is so good und fun written, easy to understand, gives you lots of information about gut.
I just turned 26 as well and I’m kinda in the same situation, I finally took the courage to go see a doctor for my ed. I’m so anxious about it but I’m ready to get better🥲 Hopefully my skin will cooperate as well
Please do share your daily routine for hormonal health! It would be so interested to see what changes you made to help your acne! 😊 Love you both! Xoxo
Retin A helps you body produce collagen. That is one of the benefits of using it. This video is very helpful. Thank you for being responsible influencers.
Where have you been all my life!!!! OMG this is exactly what I have been looking for I didn’t even know there was such a thing as sunscreen patches!!! Thanks
@@BeautyWithin I have been to Japan 2 months back ! I wasn’t so sure of what to buy so just grabbed a few trendy Skincare and hair care items. But truly in love with the fino hair mask and the biore uv protection.
I came to the same conclusion re: vit C vs A. I used to have no issues with vitamin C, even after two years on tretinoin. After increasing the concentration of my tret, though, vit C immediately started irritating me. I thought it was the tret, but it went away as soon as I stopped using vit C. I tried reintroducing it after 6mos figuring my skin was still sensitized from the stronger tret, and still no luck. I might try it again down the line but I figure I'm getting the best bang for my buck with tret anyway. Hypochlorous acid is great. I use SkinSmart and it's not elegantly packaged or aesthetic but it WORKS.
LED masks definitely worked for me! I'm 41 and it is the product/device that's made the most noticeable difference for my skin. I use the one from Foreo and it's lovely.
Wow, such a useful video!! I like BLACK PEARL creams, great effect, although they can be hard to find. I personally get them from Dead sea shop, where the discounts are nice.
I stopped buying vitamin c 2 years ago and as someone who tried different brands and forms of vitamin c, you are not missing anything!! You are better off with a good BHA and a form of vitamin A ( aka retinol, retin A, retinoid etc )
Thank you for the incredibly helpful information. It's worthy that in the realm of cosmetics, simplicity can be key, as certain procedures are effectively performed using straightforward devices
My acne trigger is dairy and I think this is the case for a lot of people. For years I thought it was poor skincare and I spent so much money on treatments that never worked. I’ve been blemish free since stopping but it’s sad not having boba in my life 😢
Loved hearing your plans for your skin this year! Since Ro mentioned she's interested in trying out more tools, one of my favorite skin care tools this last year has been the La Luer device - so good!!
I recently discovered your channel and now I LOVE IT. You have helped me deciding my first official Korean skincare, but... i still have some questions because.... I´m 18, I have oily skin and I´ve been having acne, but I´m not sure about what to buy that really works and is necessary for like... this age, so I would be so thankful if you help me and let me know like the skincare steps I shouldn´t skip.
I entered my 40’s and I’m starting to feel like I should look into procedures like micro needling and some such (minus fillers/Botox because I’m scared of injecting things into my face). I’m with Ro on the professional stuff, just 10 yrs behind. Maybe I’ll consider a hair spa treatment too.
Thank you for talking about Vitamin C! Because a “good one“ will oxidize quickly, I was afraid to purchase. But I just started using retinol and that should help brighten/even my skin tone along with glycolic acid. I feel like I’m growing up with you guys 😂❤❤❤
Here's a combination for you all to try if your skin is sensitive/reactive: Spritz your face with Avene's mineral water spray and when still damp massage in a few drops of Medik8's 'Super C Ferulic' in the morning-- let it fully absorb. Follow it with Malin & Goetz's 'Vitamin E Face Moisturiser'. Once that's absorbed, follow with sunscreen. At night switch to Medik8's 'Crystal Retinol' starting with the lowest strength and working up to the highest as your skin gets used to it. It's the BEST routine and I highly recommend it for all people with sensitive, acne-prone skin who want to improve clarity, achieve smooth incredibly soft texture and fade any form of discoloration left behind from ancient zits etc. Also great for diffusing pores and creating much shallower fine lines. I love to hear what works for everybody else too. My cleansing routine is always Korean and Japanese but the 'heavy lifting' products are Western. Good luck to all! 💖
I love that malin and Goetz vitamin e moisturiser ! I bought 3 through ipsy and got them a few days ago. Blind buy to try and to sell 2 but I think I want to keep them all because it's such a good moisturiser , barrier protecting and not full of harsh ingredients and unscented but I do find it has this subtle delicious smell that reminds me of honey. It's just moisturiser but I'm so impressed by it😅
@@alisonmercer5946 Ooohhh, I'm so chuffed to read this! 😃 I got it first as a sample in a SpaceNK order and assumed it was going to be really thick and greasy but it absorbs beautifully and leaves my skin PERFECTLY soft and comfortable. Love it. Glad it works for you too. So much out there to fail with and waste money on so when we hit a 'winner' it's so satisfying, ha.
@@alisonmercer5946 I haven't got the foggiest idea why my happy little reply to you got deleted but it's happening to all of my reply comments at the moment, no matter how innocent the subject matter and how simple and friendly the comment. I'm beyond tired of it. Why do UA-cam do this to people?! Just wanted to let you know that I left you a cool reply and a thanks but as usual, I wasted my time. I'm baffled by this and it feels like a persecution. Weeeeeiiiirrrrd, no?
Oooo we do want to test out more devices this year! But we've loved the Foreo products for years now, so that I can tell you. We're currently testing the current body LED mask, as well as some others. But we also love the Medicube products! Hope that helps a little, but we'll defs make a video about tools sometime soon hehe - fel x
If you're not allergic to hemp seed oil , you can use - "Simple Booster Serum 10% Hemp Seed Oil + B3" - 30ml . Budget friendly and really great product . 😊😊
Whenever I use vitamin c on my face my skin gets so sensitive and irritated... Like I can't even touch my face and I develop closed comedones (not a temporary texture but a very stubborn closed comedones)... My dermatologist had to remove them physically with treatment...
I had horrible acne. After completely changing my diet to vegetarian (I pretty much only had yoghurt) my acne completely disappeared. Now I've been vegan for almost 14 years and at 40 people say I look 30. I also got Panasonic Vitalift RF and It's absolutely wonderful. I trust Panasonic way more than any other brand.
I’m in my early 30s and have started using more beauty tools or devices. I recently invested in the current body led light mask and used it for the first time today. Hopefully I can see some results!
51 yr old white woman with dry sensitive skin- when my skin is breaking out and having a hard time- I find rice toner, rice powder in a gentle face wash with a basic oil double cleanse, an essence and vintners daughter does wonders. When buying vintners daughter- I minimize my other products and tend to get my skin back to not being reactive. It’s expensive but I really love it and find I buy it every couple years. I’m also a big beauty pie consumer
Totally relate with acne products. I have oily acne-prone skin and idk but using anti-acne products didn’t do anything at all. I saw better changes when i used non-acne products.
I would say keep the vitamin C. Just because something doesn’t work for you doesn’t mean it doesn’t work for others. I would recommend perhaps trying different percentage and change how you are using it. Things to consider don’t use it at the same time you apply retinol or tretinoin. There’s good data stating using L ascorbic acid as antioxidant can help your skin reduce previous skin damage from sun exposures and helps with uneven skin tone such as melesma. As always apply sunscreen for all the things you mentioned to buy to work.
My husband and I both got a Halo laser treatment and it’s the best thing we’ve ever done. I didn’t have any major issues but my husband had freckles and sun spots. It’s a one and done treatment if you’re young and the results of clear butter skin are really unbelievable. I’m officially a once a year laser girl
Hi beauties, I don't know if you take requests/suggestions on videos to make, but I would love to see one where you rank products from different categories like moisturisers, sunscreens, toners/essences from lightest consistency to thickest consistency no matter the skin concern or ingredients on them. As someone with oily but very dehydrated skin I always struggle the most to find the right consistency as i'm on the limbo between oily skin products and dry skin products. For example some gel creams (oily skin) are too thin for me but thicker gels are good, and some "normal" creams (dry skin) are obviously too thick for me but those on the lighter side are perfect, so I can't never blindly go by the gel/cream terminology I think most of us that are on that middle ground would really appreciate a video like this ranking popular/requested products (as much as possible tbh) to have some reference to work on and compare when buying new products!! And if that's not possible as a one time video then it'd be great if you include it more often on regular videos like Ro did with her moisturiser suggestions on "the best moisturisers of 2023" video where she ranked them all by thickness!! Thank you for always providing the best videos and info!!
Thank you so much for this video, it genuinely was so interesting!! I am curious if you guys have considered trying out a more diverse skincare from around the world, personally I am interested in skincare from the Arab world since they have helped me so much!
My dermatologist recommended vitamin C for me. And it does work on my skin. Super! Now it's my holy grail. It lessened my pigmentation and acne. So i suggest consult a dermatologist before using any skincare product. They are still the EXPERTS with scientific explanation. Some videos just recommend products for promotion.
Seems crazy to me that she’s giving up on a scientifically proven antioxidant, then promoting HOCL like it’s a miracle cure. Vit C is as good as it gets for under-sunscreen sun protection.
Thank you for this vid! I stumbled upon it. It’s very informative and interesting. For the Medicube tools, do you know if they are cheaper in Korea and where to buy? If buying in US, do I buy from Amazon? Do they work? Thank you if you’re able to answer!
The only Vit C serum I like that does not irritate my skin is the CF-K by MDAIRE, but its VERY pricey. I use it more for its antioxidant/protective properties as a base & yes, brightening tx for day, under SPF. Its only 1 that is not sticky, nor pills under other products. When I was broke i relied on Ordinary's Pycnogenol, but it HAS to be mixed with the right essence/toner or its a greasy mess.
hypochlorite acid is insane. literally after using it for one day, two very stubborn closed comedones that i let hang around on my face for months because i didnt want to pick at my skin, came to a head the next morning and then two days later they popped on their own. they’re currently healing and i’m just putting some retinol patches on top of them, but they’ve been on my face for forever it feels like and immediately wanted to leave after i incorporated hypochlorite acid in my routine. so in love with it
Thanks girls for making skin care fun and easy with your great content! QQ Help! : if you had to travel and take only one serum with you, for dry skin in 30s and sunny humid destination for vacation one week, which one would you take? (Of course SPF is already on the bag!) Thanks sooooo much!
Well, Vit C does well for me, but I use a dark pump bottle. If I see Vit C in anything else, I just wanna scream. So Vit C in the morning, Retinol Medik8 (my holy grail ) in the evening, a good sunscreen no matter how the weather is and a faceoil for the winter. Everything else is money thrown out of the window for me. Most important is what we eat. A lot of vegetables and fruits in moderation is key.
I have ridiculously sensitive skin, rosacea, eczema, and psoriasis. I struggle to find anything that my skin tolerates, yet I've had wonderful luck with vitamin C derivatives. Specifically, ethylated ascorbic acid serum. Zero reaction! Same with retinol, which fries my face off, but granactive retinoid works like magic.
Good call on expensive skincare. For decades we were brainwashed into thinking expensive equated to guaranteed results. We now know that is not the case and that skincare produces varied results person-to-person. The La Mers of the industry were banking on marketing from celebrities, outlandish claims and brand reputation. I appreciate K Beauty because it strips through that and goes back to basics harnessing tried and true methods that are thousands of years old (rice, ginseng etc). I appreciate any skincare that does what it says on the box with little to no synthetics and fillers. BUT also ingesting food/drink/supplements that kickstart inner heath (beauty within 😉) which will impact your external appearance.
The only “bought from store” skincare tools Dermatologist agree works is red light therapy and micro needling (if done safely and correctly). All the other skincare tools are scam. Like Most are great for smoothing product on skin (that can be done with hands) or promoting lymphatic drainage and nothing else. I’ve watched videos of dermatologists (men and women) say all the other things the tools claims it does for skin is scam and marketing.
amazing. really informative. for me, my acne was because of milk-protein (not the sugar so lactose but the protein) so all kinds of milk/cheese or anything with milk powder. (the milk naturally contains hormones that the calf needs. but not suitable for humans ) so maybe try to eliminate milk for 2 weeks or a whole cycle if you are woman to look if you react to it.
The Paulas Choice 15% vitamin C booster made my normal skin overly sensitive (red, hot, flushed). So I’m now trying the Jumiso All Day Vitamin C which is 5.5% (I think) and I love it.
Expensive because it's good but doesn't need to be THAT expensive: augustinus bader cream It's GOOD, I've tried it and it sinks in nicely and is great for the winter. Expensive because of the technology and it works well: Oneskin peptide/hydration body cream It's a third of the price of augustinus bader and works just about as well imo, but it's less oily and less fragranced so there's less oily plant extracts. BUT it's a great mild, low frills moisturizer for the price so if you're sensitive to a lot of things, I think it's great. Smells like nothing except for maybe like watery milk. And it hydrates longer than average drug store lotion.
Me 2 ... Vitamin c dnt work for me..... I stopped buying it... Now i use the ordinary alpha arbutin and niacinamide serum... They work great for me..... After using soo many korean skincare ..... Now i only use isntree moist cream, cosrx retinol, isntree gel sunscreen...they are holy grail for me.... And also hadalabo ok premium lotion.... Jst simplify skincare routine.....
My acne kit, steam cell and vitamin C arriving tomorrow 😢 Why didn’t I saw this video before😔 They are non-returnable Thank you for such informative video♥️
what do you guys think of isov cosmetics? I don't see many people talking about it I have recently started going to a Korean clinic after going to dermatologists and aestheticians for years in my home city and in a small amount of time I have seen a positive improvement with my skin (which is acne prone) but I'm afraid in the end it would turn out to be another waste of money,, the dermatologist in their clinic is very kind and has patience with all my questions which I'm not used to, I know Yikes most dermatologists I visited were rude and impatient with me so I just don't want this nice treatment I'm receiving for a change, to cloud my judgement,
Hey guys! I spotted Dr Jart is in your no-buy thumbnail - does that fall under the "expensive" category, or is there another reason those products are out for you guys? :)
Vitamin C will only work on me if I'll use it day and night everyday. I was compelled to finish my vitamin c serum in a month because it's about to expire. After one month, my complexion is brighter.
For someone (I'll be 34 soon) who has very dry skin in the winter (red and everything) as well as someone with jaw problems (hello jaw surgery later this year) which do you think would be a better investment to start off with the medicube, glow, boost, deep collagen shot, or the derma ems shot? I know they are all very different tools but since I can't get all at once I'm trying to figure out which would benefit me the most.
Ok this is a serious question, I’m not being cheeky but I always thought hypocloris acid was diluted bleach? We used to use it in one of my old jobs for cleaning certain things. 🤨 where have I been I had no idea this was used in the skin as well very interesting
It’s not bleach, but it is actually the thing that gives bleach disinfectant properties. HOCl is a byproduct of an electrical charge passed through a specific concentration of saltwater. Basically, it’s a super dilute solution of hydrogen and free available chlorine in water that’s got something like 80x the disinfectant power of bleach without any of the harmful side effects. It’s also something that is made naturally in our cells as part of healing. Until Covid, I don’t think most people outside of chem labs or certain medical applications had any idea that it was a thing, except anecdotally. Super cool, right? I think the video predictions are spot on, and that we’re going to start seeing a lot more of it in cosmetic applications going forward.
No one understands how difficult it is to find a moisturizer(doesn't matter whether it is japanese, korean, american, french brands) without vitamin c, tocopherol(vitamin e), niacinamide, squalane, any sort of oil(almond, sunflower, rosehip, mineral oil etc), essential oils and petroleum🙂 My skin reacts horribly with these ingredients and my t-zone breaksout with cystic acne and comedones🙂 So i skip moisturizers overall and dont get any acne with the disadvantage of always my skin feeling dry even though i have combination to oily acne prone skin type living in south Asia(I live in Bangladesh and currently temperature rises here upto 40 degree celcius and stays within 35-40 degree celcius throughout summer)😢 I dont skip sunscreen though, Skin Aqua came to my rescue there thank God! The neutrogena hydroboost was my staple but they changed their formula to have tocopherol and vitamin c, then i thought i'd reach out to aveeno calm+restore oat moisturizer but last year even they reformulated it to have tocopherol and vit C, most korean moisturizers are loaded with niacinamide or oil😢 I'd have liked to try the krave beauty oat so simple water cream or purito oat in calming gel cream but even those have squalane😭 My battle is never ending. Still haven't found out the perfect moisturizer yet after watching hundreds of influencers' recommendation videos and checking every ingredient list😞
Hey Ladies.... love your videosss...I don't see much kbeauty body care (body wash, lotion etc...) videos . Would love to see your recommendations on that. :) Thanks xxx
Not really bougie but I saw the difference in price between the La Roche Posay Hyaluronic acid serum and their niacinamide serum. Here in NZ those are 75- $80, I really wanna be a LRP girlie but damn, when The Ordinary can give you a similar product for $20. Like, how much of that price tag is just the brand name?! Ouch
Some don´t respond well to Vit C but even more don´t respond well to Niacinamide and that is right now a huge problem. Like seriously 95% of the new Kbeauty releases contain it.

Vitamin C is very important for me as Thai (and people who lives near equator😅)
It’s play the main role for antioxidants in daytime besides sunscreen.
UV index in my country is usually over 10, that sunscreen can’t handle perfectly.
Like.. double barrier❤
I live in the Equator literally and vitamin C just mkes break out sadly
Out:
Vitamin C, Niacinamide and Hyaluronic acid specific serums - These three are found in almost every multi-serum or cream nowadays and their effects isn't that impressive to be splurging on having seperate serums for each.
In:
Facials and non-invasive treatments - Going in once a month would be my ideal, but aiming for 1-3 times a year as my skin is in pretty good shape.
Hey recommend some that you started using❤
Good points.
I would love to see the led mask comparisons! There’s so many on the market!
You both are the cutest still! ✨
I love the way the derm talk , it's like so assured in her knowledge .
Like she do meditation everyday and happy in her life.
The only vitamin C that agreed with me was the innisfree one and every other experience was horrible
The one I use is the Goodal one! I love it
@@kanikakaur3991i'm curious with vinoperfect. Could you tell me more about the good thing?
I will def go check out those sunscreen patches too
Needling and lasers have a bad habit of destroying people’s collagen. Better to protect skin with sunscreen, to keep whatever collagen is left.
Tower 28 (spray and serum) are also good for most rosacea people! Avoid the moisturizer, though. It has two big potential rosacea triggers. But in HOCL we trust.
Thanks for mentioning the moisturizer! I was about to get all 3 products.
I'm turning 26 tomorrow and ngl this video triggered anxious emotions in me, I suffer from adult acne and my gut is trash and I'm still healing from ed, I'm really hoping to succeed like you guys 💪🏻
sending hugs and so much love 🥹 we both have been/are still there with ya, so we're really all on this journey together! 🫶
you’ve totally got this! small steps, long term vision! getting older is not as scary as it seems and I’m a ed recovery! you’re doing better than you think 🥰

Yes i would love that !!
I have been loving your recent videos so much. They are very informative and also aesthetically pleasing. Keep up the great work :)

Thanks
When I spotted the Dr Jart Ceramadin cream in the thumbnail 😱😱😱
I love your videos on hormonal health and acne! Preventative approaches are where it’s at

I’ve been blemish free since stopping but it’s sad not having boba in my life 😢
Can't you have it with soy/oat milk? I ask for soy milk as I am lactose intolerant.
I agree even skin tone is most important as most people won't get that close to you to notice any wrinkles or scars you may have on your face.

I'm so glad that your curated skincare routines are still relatable and not crazy
Hopefully I can see some results!
would you consider making a video on optimal weekly products rotations and how active ingredients interact?
Can you girls start linking your outfits or where you got them? Love it when Susan Yara does, I love her fits and yours too! ❤
I love my vitamin C from Timeless. I can see a big difference in my mature, dry skin with moderate sun damage. I use their 20%.
btw vitamin c (if stable und active) is a booster for sunscreen and retinols. Like it boosts the effects of vitamin A and B
I came for skincare recommendations, but the massage tool that helps with tense jaw and grinding might be a gamechanger for me.
sugar is definitely on my list of (control) buying. because overall, your skin is just a reflection of what’s going inside
yesssss!! 1000% hehe. hope that sugar control is going well ehehhehe - fel xx
For example some gel creams (oily skin) are too thin for me but thicker gels are good, and some "normal" creams (dry skin) are obviously too thick for me but those on the lighter side are perfect, so I can't never blindly go by the gel/cream terminology
I think most of us that are on that middle ground would really appreciate a video like this ranking popular/requested products (as much as possible tbh) to have some reference to work on and compare when buying new products!!
Could you two make a video about getting an even skintone?? ( love u 2 sm 😭💞💞)
RO- your haircut 💇♀️ is AMAZING

Thank you for this vid! I stumbled upon it. It’s very informative and interesting. For the Medicube tools, do you know if they are cheaper in Korea and where to buy? If buying in US, do I buy from Amazon? Do they work? Thank you if you’re able to answer!
The only Vit C serum I like that does not irritate my skin is the CF-K by MDAIRE, but its VERY pricey. I use it more for its antioxidant/protective properties as a base & yes, brightening tx for day, under SPF. Its only 1 that is not sticky, nor pills under other products. When I was broke i relied on Ordinary's Pycnogenol, but it HAS to be mixed with the right essence/toner or its a greasy mess.
a sun screen patch?!?! I've never heard of that😯
hypochlorite acid is insane. literally after using it for one day, two very stubborn closed comedones that i let hang around on my face for months because i didnt want to pick at my skin, came to a head the next morning and then two days later they popped on their own. they’re currently healing and i’m just putting some retinol patches on top of them, but they’ve been on my face for forever it feels like and immediately wanted to leave after i incorporated hypochlorite acid in my routine. so in love with it
That's amazing!! 🤩
So Vit C in the morning, Retinol Medik8 (my holy grail
) in the evening, a good sunscreen no matter how the weather is and a faceoil for the winter. Everything else is money thrown out of the window for me. Most important is what we eat. A lot of vegetables and fruits in moderation is key.
id also like to know how many of these products are pregnancy safe when it comes to korean skincare because i can't find much info on it!
Could you please let me know the brands please? I have eczema on my eyes and very tough to find skincare that works
I can’t do without vitamin c , mainly because I have melasma. 😊
just hit 30..i started doing facial yoga ...life changing 🥹
Same! I don’t think I’m lactose intolerant. When I took a break from dairy, my skin calmed down and cleared.
Vitamin C is a holy grail for me. Instantly brightens the skin and helps with hyperpigmentation.
Which vit c you used for pigmentation
I was like, nah I’d never use sunscreen patches and then I remembered getting a TCA peel….yes I’d absolutely use those post procedure
The Paulas Choice 15% vitamin C booster made my normal skin overly sensitive (red, hot, flushed). So I’m now trying the Jumiso All Day Vitamin C which is 5.5% (I think) and I love it.
Copper Peptides all the way LOL!!! Don’t do well with vitamin c cannot use with my Tretnoin at all 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
Expensive because it's good but doesn't need to be THAT expensive: augustinus bader cream
It's GOOD, I've tried it and it sinks in nicely and is great for the winter.
Expensive because of the technology and it works well: Oneskin peptide/hydration body cream
It's a third of the price of augustinus bader and works just about as well imo, but it's less oily and less fragranced so there's less oily plant extracts. BUT it's a great mild, low frills moisturizer for the price so if you're sensitive to a lot of things, I think it's great. Smells like nothing except for maybe like watery milk. And it hydrates longer than average drug store lotion.
ok honestly, sold 👀😂🤭 I shall try both - thank you so much for the rec!!
Jst simplify skincare routine.....

what do you guys think of isov cosmetics?
hiyaa! the thumbnail is a photo of my old skincare shelf 😅 love dr jart forever!! it's definitely not the expensive category we were mentioning 🩵
Jumiso’s Vit C is actually pretty good. I can see my skin difference compare to Goodal Vit C.

hi hi! it's from love shack fancy but it may be from a while ago, I thrifted it :')
Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question. You are awesome!
I know they are all very different tools but since I can't get all at once I'm trying to figure out which would benefit me the most.
retinol is so good it changed my skin so much
I just bought the Cocokind retinol this week! I love it so far!

Bleach is NaCIO. Hypoclorous acid is HOCI, and a human metabolite. They both have chlorine, but slight differences in the compounds change the effect
No one understands how difficult it is to find a moisturizer(doesn't matter whether it is japanese, korean, american, french brands) without vitamin c, tocopherol(vitamin e), niacinamide, squalane, any sort of oil(almond, sunflower, rosehip, mineral oil etc), essential oils and petroleum🙂
My skin reacts horribly with these ingredients and my t-zone breaksout with cystic acne and comedones🙂 So i skip moisturizers overall and dont get any acne with the disadvantage of always my skin feeling dry even though i have combination to oily acne prone skin type living in south Asia(I live in Bangladesh and currently temperature rises here upto 40 degree celcius and stays within 35-40 degree celcius throughout summer)😢
I dont skip sunscreen though, Skin Aqua came to my rescue there thank God!
The neutrogena hydroboost was my staple but they changed their formula to have tocopherol and vitamin c, then i thought i'd reach out to aveeno calm+restore oat moisturizer but last year even they reformulated it to have tocopherol and vit C, most korean moisturizers are loaded with niacinamide or oil😢
I'd have liked to try the krave beauty oat so simple water cream or purito oat in calming gel cream but even those have squalane😭
My battle is never ending. Still haven't found out the perfect moisturizer yet after watching hundreds of influencers' recommendation videos and checking every ingredient list😞
My acne did travel down my face as I got older and I was wondering why lol TY
You look like Nayeon TWICE 🫶
