Loving this. Seems like guys put months and years into welding cages, etc... and I bet this will be just as loud if not louder than most other SPL builds that have 10x the money and labor put into them 👌🏽
Looking great, love the build videos and loved the long video also just because there is so much involved in the build and it's great to see everything coming together. Hope to see this sundown monster this season
You can definitely hear the difference dude it’s going to be so solid as fuck when it’s done . I honestly can’t believe how much progress you’ve had in such a short period of time keep up the hustle
Your fucking amazing at your craft brutha. I hope to one day be a fraction as good as you are with your craftsmanship brutha and I'd be stoked. Thanks again for all your knowledge...your channel is deffinantly my #1 go to when watching any SPL build or any other build you may have in store for us.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Coming along real quick! Good job! I like that you upload almost everyday and atleast have a build video atleast every other. I watched bassman and Jeep and bass while they build and I’d have to ignore their channel for like a week at a time just to get behind so I could binge watch a few. Love the channel and what your doing! Can’t wait to see it slammin.
wow ppl complain about every little thing never happy. I liked that last video its great for ppl wanting or thinking of doing their first wall build. i cant waaaaaait to upgrade my 12"s to sundowns : / Big fan an subscriber from San Antonio oh i want to see that truck an awesome system when you come to Texas
This project brings me back to my youth , good to see other people who as crazy me , 8 15 inch subs 4 layers of 1 inch mdf, you need more room for batteries, unless your going with super caps , keep up the good work
Go crazy and strap 2 amps on each coil , think they will handle 30 k for 1.5 seconds ?, or are you planning on running this setup for minutes at a time? , with super caps I assume your just burping the system, go with the most power you possibly can fit 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
That other video was long but still cool, lol I actually watched it in 2 parts. Keep up the great work all the way around. Heck I need to start on mine smh. I already know I will be a busy basshead and at the last min.
Very nice Derrick. It looks very solid all the way around. It sounds like it is going to be very loud in there. That last piece you did had a lot of test fitting and trimming done on it. It looks great though. Who cares if it's not square and gaps. Those are easy fixes. Mine definitely wasn't square in the Kia. Had a lot of filling in gaps and a lot of grinding to get it to fit right. Looking forward to the next update man.
So I want to do my own with only basic knowledge (I know everything about electronics and about Calculating Boxes, tuning them and Orders). But I do wonder about the Walls and Windows. Is it fine to just put Expander Foam between the Walls and the Windows? Or is some other Preperation needed? Just found your Video and I love the Detail you put in it! :)
@@UnofficialAudio just my opinion " and u know what they say about opinions" but I would have treated the bottom layer before it was installed so there wouldn't be any untreated spots between the frame and the box
I I’m thinking about getting 1 SA12, is a 2 cubic foot box the largest ported box that is recommended? I had a L7 12 in a 3.2 cubic box and it played loud and very Deeep. I’m just wanting that deep bass like I had before. I’m planning on running 1200 watts to it. Sealed to front and ported through rear deck. 2015 Accord v6. Thanks
Gotta say man that is one thick as fuck enclosure lol, more i see the update videos on it more im looking forward to seeing that monster speak, With how its being built il be surprised if it dont hit 170+ db. Wish there were places up here where i could put my setup on a meter lol. i know im pushing close to 160 db specially with my new amp.
Damn your making some progress !! Is there no way to pop those side windows out to foam it in ? I'm probably the 1 person that watched the whole long video. Most UA-cam watchers have very short attention spans lol.
@@UnofficialAudio Right, but was thinking it'd be easier to make sure you got good coverage below the window line. Then make a wood template the size of the glass, use that in place of the window. Then when the foam has cured scrape away just enough foam to put the window back in. Wouldn't that insure better coverage with out worrying about too much popping the windows ? Just a thought.
I'm guessing you mean on the floor. It was to use up some big "scrap" pieces I had that would fit it that space perfect. Being two separate pieces won't effect strength since its stacked in with 8 layers of wood. If you're talking about in the back of the truck its because big solid sheets won't fit in the rear opening. Had to split the pieces up and, again, using up some big scrap sections that will fit in there nicely.
Why didn't you remove the rear side windows for access to the sides then just weld some metal in their place? Too much work vs just drilling a hole and pouring?
If you want to build it strong you should start by making sure your angle cuts are at the right angle so they butt up against each other completely... The way you have them now they are crooked AF and have mad gap. When done correctly you can achieve the same results with less material.... Little details like that is what separates the pros from the rookies
To trim all that spray from man if u don't have a mutli tool or the vibrating saw u need to get one they r great and pretty cheap these days y can carve that spray foam. Like a artist with one
@@UnofficialAudio I can gurantee u if u buy this tool u will never regret it I bought one about four years ago and it is still working I use it about everyday cost less than 120

Its all good. Last one was kinda long so I agree with that. Didn't mean for it to get that long so gonna make sure to keep them within a reasonable 15-20min from now on.
The enclosure is actually starting to look like something. What do yall think so far? Could you hear the difference between the gong and the thud?
Love it man she's a tank for sure.

No way I know how hard it is to get shit done with two kids I’ve been trying to get in my trunk for a week now
Awesome work sir. That's going to be badass..

Much better the actual building of it & time-lapse catches my attention.
Details are good. It's hard to please everyone. This is going to be epic!
Progress is moving forward cery nicely looks badass
Derek this is starting to look rock solid, I can’t wait to see the loading wall, tubes and it’s going to be loud af
Thanks! Doing a full video just on building the tubes. Hopefully get that done next week.
Love a full build vlog. Seeing all the small details is the interesting part to me. Keep it up man.

yeah he's going with supercaps, but still 3 per amp, so 12 for 4 7500s
Yeah I'll be using supercaps. Planning ahead for the future when i go up to 6 amps on 6 subs so going with 18 banks of supercaps.

Great work!! Keep it up, how much does the 16# foam expand?
4x expansion rate
how are you planning on water proofing the under side of the box?
Gonna spray it all with bedliner to protect from the elements

I feel like your making some good progress bro. I'm getting excited and were still on the box. Lol.
Looking very loud all ready What modelo subs n amps r going in there
To start it will be four Sundown Audio U-18" subs and four scv-7500d amps

Hey is there any liquid that will dissolve the foam? I messed up and now my trunk wont open
Can that foam be sprayed as well ?
It qould be tricky mixing it into something then spraying it out. There isnt much working time before it starts expanding.

Thanks bro for the short video. I was leaving hone to work when I saw the length of the vid and I went no way😅
Haha gonna try to keep the future updates small in the 15min or so range
@@UnofficialAudio Hahha👍 30+ min is like let me get a cold one to sit down and enjoy😅
Be carefull so the foam doesn't push the windows out when it expands though.
And the screws that are to long, just cut them with the angle grinder.
I'll pour the foam in small batches
@@UnofficialAudio Cool beans! I'm sure you would have it under controll, but it doesn't cost me anything to point it out just if...
Keep on keepin on!
It also has a very low expansion rate also. The big kit only expands to aroud 5cuft, in 2lb density it fills around 40cuft.
nice
What instrumental is that playing in the background
The foam wont bust out the windows when it expands?
That's why I'm pouring it in small batches
So if I bought 2 team's 18s and 2 7500.1 would y'all build my box
I want a wall in my Altima , is that possible?

Drilling a hole and pouring it in is pretty simple. Can't get much easier than that.
Damn bro that thing gunna be strong af, are you gonna even need any bracing lol.
Won't be any bracing inside the enclosure

Do you have a number you’d like to see?
