    Does it bond to what it touches? I have 2 fiberglass sheets parallel spaced about 2" - would this foam bond to the sheets making the structure stronger? Final result would be similar to a surfboard.

    I was thinking about making a subwoofer box out of this stuff. I want to put a subwoofer in the rear side panel of my suv . I wanted the foam to form into the finder well and around the speaker . I want to box out the air space with card board and tape it up so the foam can form around the speaker , panel and finder . Do you think this would work ?

I'm glad I found this, I want to use this to fill my voids in my unibody in my car to help with chassis flex, but this lacks a way to easily pour it into weird areas, like vertical rocker panels, etc? How do you deal with things like that? Also weight say per cubic foot of product after curing please

  • @gregvisioninfosoft

    Might you know the maximum temp this mixture becomes and for approximately h ow long - when it sets? I have an app where I can see using this to fill voids (to help preventing rattling) in an interior car plastic panel. My concern is that this heat could distort the original shape of the interior panel. Do you know of any such similar products that have a lower cure temp.

Be a bummer to get burned. Didn't really have an interest in the stuff but figure it's informative. Views help. As for tech time Thursday. If you could explain. At what point is there too much wire for the power and what could be expected to happen if there's too much or not enough. You may have already covered it but. Something I've been wondering. Thanks for what you do. Greatly appreciate it.

    • @SigmaBallistics
      @SigmaBallistics 5 років тому

      Jon Doe thousands of people run sundown with lots of success and choose to run them over many other brands they have tried in the past and will not go back. Do you really think thousands of people would be ok with subs sounding blown?
      Have you ever thought that maybe YOU were the problem for the sub sounding “blown” out of the box?
      I just watched your video of the “blown” 6.5 you received twice. You didn’t even have it installed inside an enclosure, only free air.
      First off this is a 6.5 woofer with a free air resonance of 50hz, it is NOT going to sound good free air. All you are hearing is mechanical noise, some of which is high velocity chuffing generated from sundown’s awesome cooling features they integrate in their designs.
      Sorry to tell you dude, but you are the issue here, you are a newbie and your trash talk will not work here. Sundown is a tried and true company that makes some of if not THE best subwoofers out there and would not have made it this big if their woofers were trash.
      Check out some videos of my explorer getting down doing over a 160 on music smashing every frequency from 21-50hz. Team sundown 18’s in a 4th order bandpass.

    Does the foam make you're car rust after some years ?

    • @mythos000000025
      @mythos000000025 3 роки тому

      So short answer is no but there is a caveat. Where the foam expands and fills its waterproof and obviously very hard, however if you have a void where water can enter and then not get out then yes you will get rust. If you make sure it's dry before using the product and then fill every hole(and mask everything that it can touch!) And use the right spots, etc then no you won't get rust,,it'll seal the metal from the inside...but that also means water that's left inside. I'd say take a heat gun to the areas you want to fill in a warm room before pouring it in to make sure there's no water, also a dry climate helps and so does a car that's been inside awhile. Either way just make sure that anywhere water can get inside the chassis is covered either with the product or other means so water can't get inside and start rusting. If you do that you won't have issues
