If you drill the valve cover to except a pcv valve you got to put a baffle inside the cover under the port for the pcv valve. Without the baffle under the pcv valve the vacuum will suck oil out of the top of the head. An suck it back into the intake and the vehicle will smoke out the tail pipe blue smoke. If you look at a valve cover with a pcv there is a baffle under the pan
Chad and Jolene, Thank You for taking us along on your visit to Harry's Shop and properties. The 1960 Chevy Impala and 1964 Pontiac 2dr's are amazing. !!! i really love the container building that the 1934 Oldsmobile is stored in,. The rear and left and right front access doors are perfect to see the front nd of the sedan. I just love the look of this wonderful jewel . When Sam gave a shot of gas she fired right up . I love the blue color and interior looks great. as well . We'll see whether a deal can be made tomorrow. This car should be kept as origianl becaue of it's rareity and great condition.
That would be the last place I think would want to store a car in a container unless it has installation to keep the moisture out. Even a car out side you don't want to have a car cover over it because it holds moisture rust faster. Just leave it unless you have a garage or box it in a create.
If I heard correctly He noted that the 60 Pontiac had a 409 in it making it a Canadian Pontiac being a modified Catalina on a Chevy X-frame versus a Catalina on a Pontiac-Olds-Cady wide track perimeter Frame. All The Canadian Pontiacs sat on the chevrolet wheelbase frame with The Strato Chief as lthe lowest level, The Laurentian the mid level, and the Parisiene as the high Level model; while the U.S. line up had the shorter wide track wheelbase line up for The Catalina and Ventura series and the longer wide track wheelbase for the Star Chief and Bonneville series. The Bonneville was the advert Gotcha model that got custumers into the show rooms in the U.S. and Canada in the Hundreds.
Hey there brother another great video. I'm about an hour out of lethbridge American side of the border, and we have some really clean cars here and there. But if you guys are headed down the 15 past the border I know a fella who has a dodge/Mopar graveyard/collection. Some really clean 40s 50s rollers and is a good buddy who'd be happy to give you the grand tour 🤷♂️ take care guys. Appreciate what you do for our hobby Chad 🤘
Greetings from Northern Indiana. That Olds is spot on gorgeous! i believe Harry Penny is a man you can trust. I hope the price is reasonable, I can't think of another car guy more worthy than you as the next owner, except for me😂 . The difference is you can do something great with the 34, I would just end up putting miles on it as is. I would love to stop in and visit you at your shop someday. I've watched your UA-cam channel since you were on TV but this is the first time I've posted a comment. My name is Steve Cashdollar, that's why I felt compelled to post, anyone with a name like Harry Penny is my kind of car enthusiast.
Nice car clean..and the fact of the matter the old boy don't like rust and he wont buy junk..is a great indication the car may be a great car to have or do what ever with ...with no big dallars spent to fix rust motor problems ex..just do your costume shit to it or just leave it like it is...and the fact especially the flat head she fired right up after priming it that tells me the motor is good has compression and good spark ex .no major engine problems..just saying im not buying it but personally i dont think he would lie to yah. Thanks for sharing it is a nice find wow 😲🎉😊❤
Man 1934 OLDSMOBILE are 2 a Penny Do you need someone to drive it home for you. I'll even pay my own travel cost from Ireland to the pick-up location. 'Joking' From what's available it sure is looking a very nice car. Please Please don't hurt it too much.
Can you imagine what it would have been like for the person who bought that Olds when it was brand new when the paint was shiny no rust no scratches the new car smell and the first drive man that would have been such a thrill even if you find one that has very low miles all the seals rubber will be in poor shape.
One of the many things I find interesting. People love restoring and building these vintage and classic cars. The car industry today do not build cars to look how they did in those days.
I don’t believe Chad, at this stage, wants to restore a car. It costs too much money. He may change his tactics, but I doubt it. He wants to create art, what’s pleasing to his great eye!
Nice olds my good friend Barry found a 34 model L in Washington state brought it home and $90,000. Later restored her and now shows her all over the nation great car but crazy hard to find parts good luck hope you bring this one home Chad love to see your vision for her
Huge credit out to you and Jolene …why … ? It’s your ability to relate and it is noticed . Maybe it should be booking a month cross Canada reaching out and selecting a visit to some enthusiast that has your passion for these cars . I can’t think of anyone better .
How's the roads .? Be careful it's Banff the weather changes every 20 minutes lol . Hope you can make a deal on a new build guys . Thumbs-up Jolene ❤and Chad enjoy your road trip !
Pretty cool old man love the Chevy Impala hopefully you will buy the 34 and drive it back to Nova Scotia to get back to work on the 50 and finished the motor in the one can't wait 50 finished looking forward to it
Yeah I would love to see chad do a 1960s-1970s old muscle car or something...like a mustang, ford torino, chevy camero, nova,or dodge charger, challenger something along those lines of a muscle car..in his shoes I would love to add something like that to the collection he already has..all different years and models of vehicles
Can’t remember if I’ve said this before but wonder if chad would ever customize an old Cadillac or Buick from the 1970 era. Cut the top and what not. Might make the car look even longer. Big old lead sled kind of thing !
Valves placed in a valve cover or anywhere the will have oil splashing is a concern and that needs blocking placed to obstruct the oil and allow vent-able air .
Great nostalgia content here. When it comes to flipping cars, the pros know this. You don't make money selling cars, you make money buying. Which only means, you have to buy cheap. Just saying the old school guy.
Pontiac never put a 327 Chevy engine in their cars. They had the 326. I don’t claim to be certain but I’m confident enough to post that that never came with a 327
Did he say that was a 327 in a Pontiac? Numbers matching? And orange too? Must be a made for Canada car. Pontiac made a 326, but I don't think they came in the big ones. 389 for them.
Any fans from California remember , vote for Steve Garvey and help save the classic car and hot rod folks. If we don’t change the political narrative in California we will lose are hobby
A Maritimer, with a Bluejays hat, in Alberta, look for old cars and trucks, living in B.C.!! If that isn't completely Canadian,I don't know what is..! Chrome Forever!!!
Great show my guess he won't take less than 25 G for the 34 he might want more let me know if I was close ?? I have 2 37 packard the smaller back kwindow looks lil more gangs (only fits one tommy gun anyway ) keep it up Bad Chad and Jo fr Kona
Are you planning to pursue the failed visa issue for your Ausralia trip, or is that now a dead issue ? You should receive some compensation for the wasted time and expense. I wish you and Jolene all the best.

That is actually a trailer the car was in, not a container.

@snoopu2601 you don't have a clue what you're talking about!

Toujours des prises de vue de Jolène dignes d·un grand metteur en scène !! Super ...Et très belle voiture de l·époque ...

from the factory 409 dipstick is on passenger side, but oil pan's are interchangeable!
Harry has some nice cars. What a find and a road trip to drive that ol' car back to Canning NS.....cant wait to see how this all works out.
Huge credit out to you and Jolene …why … ? It’s your ability to relate and it is noticed . Maybe it should be booking a month cross Canada reaching out and selecting a visit to some enthusiast that has your passion for these cars . I can’t think of anyone better .

I would hope that if Chad and Jolene by the 1934 Oldmobile that they would ship the car and not attempt to drive it home
CHOPTOP THURSDAY.....🐓in the 🏠.. Enjoy the show... HIT THAT 👍 LIKE BUTTON & MAKE A COMMENT
Nice cer, Chad will probably walk away from this one
HEY FELLOW BIG HEAD
lets hope, otherwise it won't be Nice for long, he will give it a chop
@@scottcochran384 I agree with you. Hate to see a car with that much potential ruined.
Rest in peace to a survivor car.

Good morning Jolene and chad and I hope your trip is going well and thank you for bringing us along for the ride
1934 Oldsmobile appears to be in good shape.
Nice car, I like the front 😎👍
Valves placed in a valve cover or anywhere the will have oil splashing is a concern and that needs blocking placed to obstruct the oil and allow vent-able air .
when you see a eng with valve covers like them you know it's a 409 but l would say that's the 348
First car. I’ve. Moved. In Dads. Yard. I was. Ten. 64 Pontiac. Four door strati chief. Loved. The body. Style
Chad. Bubble top Chefs didn't come out until 1961

In Canada, Pontiacs were equipped with Chevy engines.
Maybe he used the “hone balls” on on the 326…….327…….now…..😂
If it's a Canadian car it would most likely have a chevy engine
Awesome looking car, I would drive it all day every day!
That is an amazing find... not the cars but someone on marketplace that actually responds to one of their ads
Great find, keep it as is, maybe engine and transmission swap, interior is classic. Beautiful car.
Interesting video! Thanks again for including us on your travels!
Where would you start modifying it? The lines are so perfect. Slant the top a couple inches maybe but the front end is untouchable in my opinion
34 Olds huh Woooooo baby that's a nice rig! 😉✌
Love this car . Looks like a Cadillac.
Did he say that was a 327 in a Pontiac? Numbers matching? And orange too? Must be a made for Canada car. Pontiac made a 326, but I don't think they came in the big ones. 389 for them.
That's Made in Canada on a Chevrolet frame. V8's were 283, 327 and 409 with up to 425HP (2X4Bbl)
But didn't the owner say the Pontiac came from the US ...
Long ride back to NS
Please don’t touch that car. You’ll ruin that car if you touch it.
Trust me, he didn't touch the car. My dad bought it. It's the most beautiful thing I have ever seen and it's very cherished
This has been my fav visit yet!
sound out 29.05 ? Chad the Olds looks Amazing 👍👍
More nice cars to see. I don't think he will buy this one.
Just walk away you havent finished what you have.
That's the beauty of being very wealthy....he can buy and 'do' as many as he wants 👍

Whatever happened to the cabover you started a couple of years ago ?

Hi I love the story's, great work mate cheers 🍻
Hey Chad is that Pontiac for sale
I thought that was Vanilla Ice
Nice car with a big price, I'm sure.
Good one but way far from home ain't ya ?😮
😂 i think Hot Rod Harry just insulted Chad when he mentioned he hates rust and those who
mud up karrrs.
😂 Chads one of those mudders .
Sorry Chad.
Nice camera work
Being as old as the car is it's been well taken care of.
That car is cool 👍
Don’t ruin another car.
Lol......
You must be jealous. If he buys it, he can do whatever he wants to it. If you want a 34 Olds, go buy one and do whatever you want to it.
My thoughts exactly
THIS! Lol leave this car ALONE
Where in Alberta are you in?
what you call mud wasp we call them dirt divers down in Louisiana
Hi everybody
I felt they would not buy it because it’s so far from their home
