I have been trying to write something like this for a long time. I voiced my opinion on that very car and also how I felt he was doing dirt to a gentleman who offered him his money back. I got called a hater, so I shut my mouth and moved on. Unsubbing, of course, and never making another statement to or about him. Chad, that is, until I just came across this comment. @@Fed72 sad part is the car was in great shape, any car will have a small amount of rust in areas that collect water. he knew so little about the car it was embarrassing, he didn't know the kind of oil to put in it, he didn't know how to start it, didn't know the trans was non synchro in first gear, bitched about drum brakes being unsafe when most of us older guys have driven millions of miles on drum brakes, lots of newer cars still have drums on the rear. he did his best to degrade the man that sold him the car, he lied over and over about the car and acted like a small child having a shxx fit. and yes the man told him he would give him the amount he paid in full just bring it back. i was a fan until then because of the work he does with what he has to work with, like we all did in the old days

The problem is he will continue to convert nice cars into the "same old Chad lead sled" whether I watch or not. Frankly, he is a tasteless butcher with much less talent than he thinks.

Just like the Bugatti death trap he's building. Steering wheel 4" from the driver's face vs 4" from the dash, a minor fender bender will decapitate the driver. Then let's not talk about all the butchering he did on the engine to get it to fit under the hood which actually will have that engine running like shit cause he made some drastic changes that will hinder the engines ability to run. Discovery went through two local production companies in two seasons , they both refused to work with him because he’s impossible to work with . I could tell you lots more about this clown .

The whole show was fake , none of the customers was real , he kept all the cars because Discovery didn’t want to be liable for the junk he builds . He was so difficult to work with Discovery couldn’t get a local production company to do a third season .

The show was the only way he got any cars built as the crew built them for him. His UA-cam is why he will never get another TV gig cause the cats out of the bag. He can't build cars and hasn't completed one on his own and he comes up with all kinds of excuses such as people don't want to see finished builds when restoration videos 1-2 hrs long are popular sowing start to finish.
