IMPORTANT IMPORTANT READ. I suffered from Tinnitus more than two years , I was devastated and depressed about it till I remembered I was used to go to a Chinese doctor because I was having pain on my shoulder .. so I decided to try to go to him .. he uses acupuncture at the neck and the ears, cupping on the back and strong massages, at first three sessions has to be close to each other like every four or five days .. believe it or not after second session the noise went at least 50 per cent , now I’ve done three and it’s going more down but still there .. I’m having fourth appointment soon hoping that I don’t have the ringing anymore ..I’m 69 years old and leave in Sydney , the doctor is in Lidcombe 💕🌺🌸🌺🌸🌺🌸

Ive had ringing tinnitis on my left side for 20yrs??? and a clicking tinnitis on my right side for less time. Ive tried the 'tapping' on the back of the head/neck which seemed to work for a short period of time. However, your finger pressure in the same place seems to have worked!!! I'm so used to ringing in my head im not sure that its gone or that what i am hearing is the silence i havnt heard for so long. But i feel it has worked - maybe thats why i am now in tears. Even if its only short lived - you have helped me. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

About 3 and a half years ago, I was on the computer in weird position for HOURS a day. My back and neck contorted from a nervous neck tic I had for 10 years. (which I did in private, nobody knew).=, and had a crooked jaw from grinding right sight teeth. One day, I decided to do push ups out of my chair. Did 10, and my ear immediately rang so loud that I feel in the floor. Had tinnitus since then, and only really discovered about 6 months ago that it was ALL from my neck and TM joints. Been doing exercises like these and I would say I've lessened my tinnitus about 90%. Now it only flairs up if I sleep wrong on my pillow. But I KNOW that I can still improve.

I developed neck related tinnitus in 2006. Doctors used to dismiss my assertion that it is coming from neck muscles with disdain. In my case it is associated with fibromyalgia and stress. When I am stressed my neck muscles become tense and the best remedy is to reduce stress. It is important to manage anxiety and stress to get relief with this condition.

I have had tinnitus both the ringing and pulsatile for about 3 years. I have learned to “ignore it” but some days it is extremely loud and it gets to my nerves. I have TMJ and I thought that was the cause of it, but because of a horrible neck pain )actually my whole upper body) I got some X-rays done 2 days ago. Yesterday I got the results and it says that I have loss of cervical lordosis, and that can cause tinnitus as well. I feel broken and frustrated. I have another appointment next week to see how can I be fixed. Wish me luck. Thanks for the video.

Go online and find a frequency generator.
You can adjust the frequency and find the ring in your ear. It doesn’t have to be loud. But you’ll find a very peculiar outcome when you find the right frequency in your ear(s)…

I had a ct of my cervical spine which showed a couple of pinched nerves. I wonder if these tissue exercises will help me with my tinnitus or is it risky to do in my case. I can't see a chiropractor because of past back surgeries. My ENT told me there is no cure for this. I've suffered with this for decades, I'm 67 and it's gotten louder in the last few years.

Tinnitus. Visual snow. Chronic fatigue. Eyesight disorders. Glares. Light sensitivity. Pelvic issues. Derealization. Extreme body wide tension. Ten years now. Out of all the people I've spoken to none gave me answers. I've always had a knowing that it's my body. Now I'm doing something called dct (dynamic contraction technique ) and working on body awareness. It's hard not to be overwhelmed. Even ten years plus later. I have to undo my conditioning from a stationary family on my mothers side.
It's just extremely difficult with fatigue. Like chipping away through a mountain hoping eventually there will be another side

As a work from home office worker and digital musician, it's hard to tell whether my tinnitus is caused by ear fatigue or poor posture. I suspect that both things are contributors, but after trying your techniques, I literally felt a rush of warmth and openness in my ears and my tinnitus went down in volume significantly. I tried each of the techniques shown in your video so I'm not sure which one had the most impact. In your experience, which of these techniques is most effective for the hunch-forward neck caused by poor seated posture?

the big question that stay in the way of success of the treatmentis fear that already damaged hearing cells { hering loss/.Hyperacusis/tinnites} will be more prone to more damages than normal people would have ? So we need to protect ourself from loud sounds even far more ? ...it is really official otherwise because logically that is the truth..especially when noises create more pain in the ears. Please address this question with your professional opinion? Possably we need to use ear plugs with 70 max ds?

You might conservative strenghten all neck muscles for long periode. While the excercises can increase the volume, but in the long run decrease the volume. Maybe not help you, but helped me. Took me 8 months to decrease volume significantly, still exercise and I think I will get rid of it. No tinnitus on the right side anymore so I have hope.

I'll share my experience because there might be others in my shoes who wonder what the heck they have and why... What I have is a "whooshing" sound. I'm not sure if it's what is described as pulsatile tinnitus. Tinnitus seems to be an all-encompassing term for various sounds... When I told the neurologist I saw recently about it, she wrote just tinnitus in the paperwork, but I don't know what ringing feels like.
This whooshing sound made an appearance more than 10 years ago. At the time, I thought it was just in my head (I mean, not localized, as opposed to being crazy ;-)) and attributed it to low Hgb and/or years of Prednisone intake (the gift that keeps on giving...). It was happening only in bed. I've always had neck & shoulder problems, but it didn't seem to have anything to do with it. I wasn't in any pain and it was still happening.
It had pretty much disappeared in the past few years. I thought it might be because of change in climate (I moved) or maybe because my Hgb was OK. Didn't see any reason to look the gift horse in the mouth... ;-) Then, I had a very odd and unusually long respiratory disease. It dragged on & off for about 2 months. The whooshing sound returned after that, along with neck & shoulders as stiff as if they're in a vice, scary vertigo (for the first time), etc. "goodies," because of which I've been watching these videos. I finally realized it was located in my left ear. The neurologist doesn't think the vertigo is caused by ear issues and likely it's not per se, but something is definitely not right...
There are some additional curious developments in this area lately... Once, when I was blowing my nose, I heard a whistling sound in the same ear! That was novelty... still not ringing, though. It reminded me of an article I stumbled across recently, thinking it was peak stupidity, but there might very well be some merit to it! They were saying that people should close one nostril when blowing the other. I don't know about you, but I'd never heard of this before. Guess we can file it under all kinds of useful things we should be taught about in school, instead of having our lives wasted with BS & propaganda. Buuut, Big Pharma can't possibly allow that! Now, I also "hear" my own chewing in this same ear. That was only happening when I had ear plugs in my ears before, and in both ears, if I'm not mistaken. Obviously, all these organs are connected and affect each other, so the blowing-nose advice might not be so ridiculous after all... I decided to keep trying to follow it, but it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks... In any case, if it doesn't help or is irrelevant, it won't hurt. I'm willing to give such things a try.

    Thanks for the video!
I first noticed my tinnitus on my left ear last November when I was lying on the couch. I thought I was just hearing the fridge or something else from the floor above, but when I sat up the sound was "on" my ear. I had it for two days straight before it disappeared for a couple of weeks. Since then I've had from time to time, but it didn't really bother me much because it would only last for a day or two each time.
Two and a half weeks ago I went through a lot of stress. Since then the tinnitus has been there pretty much all the time, although I've had maybe two or three days without any symptoms. Like stated above, the sound from a fridge is how I best can describe my tinnitus. However, when the tinnitus is at its loudest its almost as if I can hear my own pulse. I struggle sleeping at night and concentrating at work, where I spend most of my time in a chair reading studies for my PhD project. I know for a fact that my posture isn't the best, so that is something I'm working on to improve. I went to an ENT specialist last Monday for a hearing test, and the conclusion was that my hearing is completely normal. On Friday I'm having an MRI, and I'm also seeing a naprapat on Wednesday. The quality of life has changed dramatically since this problem worsened, and the whole situation feels hopeless.
Personally I believe that my tinnitus is of the somatic type as it is influenced by head movement. I've observed several times that the sound gets louder when I bend my head forward, whereas the opposite happens when I bend it backwards. Sometimes it even disappears completely when I do the latter. When this happens it's kinda like a button which lets me turn the tinnitus on and off. I should also note that the tinnitus disappears as long as I hold my finger in the ear.
What do you make of my symptoms/observations, and what do you think I should do next? Does it seem likely that my tinnitus can be treated and disappear for good?

    • @drjonsaunders
      @drjonsaunders  3 роки тому +3

Using NSAIDS can cause tinnitus, sinus infections can cause tinnitus and ear infections or damage from chronic ear infections can cause tinnitus. Being in an acidic condition can also cause tinnitus. I had a friend who came to my house one night with severe tinnitus from taking too much aspirin for days over a toothache he had. He was in tears, so I took him to the emergency room at North Florida Regional Hospital. They gave him an intravenous drip of bicarbonate of soda and by the time they were done, his tinnitus was gone. I have had tinnitus for years and years because of sinus and ear infections I had for a long time. An olive oil/garlic juice remedy is the best for ear infections. Just mash a garlic clove into a small quantity of olive oil and pour through a strainer and put a couple drops in each ear once a day until the ear infection is gone.
This has helped me a lot and healed my ear infections and largely reduced my tinnitus to a functional level.

The only relief I've ever found is from Prednisone. I've been prescribed it a few times since my tinnitus started and each time my tinnitus goes away until I taper off Prednisone.
