I was trying to decide between these two and ended up going with the S8 with the new auto refill and drain system ($1200 black friday price). That feature was the deciding factor for me. When you don't have to care about how much water the system is using, and can have it clean the pads frequently, I think the S8 is better for mopping and vacuum. The Eufy is better keeping the pad clean on the fly however, there is a limit to how well it cleans the roller. Whereas with unlimited water supply the S8 can keep that pad clean far better with the hot water high speed brush system in the base. Also it has a dirty water detection, so if it detects the pad was very dirty, it will go back and clean the same area again with a much cleaner pad. You have to turn on the dirty water detection system which you apparently did not do. If you had it would have cleaned the pad and went back out for a second pass. Not that most people are going to leave sauce sitting on the floor like that in the first place, even if you do have a robot floor cleaner. IMO the S8 is a better overall system with several added features, and when you don't have to care about water usage it could possibly better at mopping. I have had an S7 max ultra and it worked great for years, but remembering to exchange the tank fluids is a hassle and easy to forget. With the auto fill/drain system this truly is a set it and forget it cleaning system. Why more of these robots don't offer this option is a shame, it's a game changer and I won't buy another without it.
Eufy S1 Pro is trash on carpet. So if you’re looking to maintain your home not clean up milk off the floors, the Roborock lifts its pads up by 20mm vs 12mm on the Eufy. The Eufy is great on floors, but not as good on carpets. Please keep that in mind.
This says nothing about its carpet cleaning capabilities… also keep in mind the roller is probably clean when it hits the carpet, vs the roborocks pad is completely dirty, making it absolutely necessary to not touch the carpet. In all situations the wird is a better robot
The carpet cleaning is poor. That has nothing to do with the lifting. The fact that the eufy s1 pro Omni lifting will make the carpet wet while it also does a poor job cleaning the carpets is the problem. There are many videos showing how poorly the carpet vacuuming is on the eufy s1 pro Omni Do your homework. Mind you it’s the best on hardwood floors. I’m not a paid advertiser nor do I care who’s the best. I just do the research. Also I own many robot vacuum cleaners and own the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra, the Eufy s1 pro Omni and the Dyson 360 Vis Nav (which is the worst in navigation but the best with carpet vacuuming) so I know what quality is and seen them first hand in action.
Hi EbenRogers, so which one should I buy? My home is hardwood floor only, no carpet, no area rugs. Money is not a issue, I want the best combo cleaners. Eufy S1 Pro, Dreame X40, or Roborock S8 Ultra?
Corner and edge cleaning is also very important to me, my old Roborock just can not reach the corner and edges of the floor along the the walls. Also which of these 3 top of the line robos is easier to clean/maintain?
@@flood2k3 Hey! So if mopping AND corners/edges are the most important thing to you then I’d go with the X40. It has the best mopping and avoidance. You can pull the tray to clean the base and its arms swipe under furniture and mop pad extends to do the same. It has the highest suction out of the three as well. My choice for your specific needs would be the Dreame X40 Ultra or L40 Ultra (also rated very well and has a lower price point but some say it performs just as well with a slightly burger spec that’s not noticed in real time. Color varies based on unit.

Will like to see the Eufy S1 Pro vs Narwal Z Ultra
Send one over and I'll give it a try.
eufy S1 Pro is so Amazing!
It's a pretty good vacuum. We actually have two of them in our house so that we have coverage on both floors.
Can you video how they do with vacuuming and mopping edges and corners?
Maybe in a future video I will cover that.
How about cleaning corners ??
Can you use the camera on the eufly?
I have experienced a very good product for a period of time
