I picked up this vacuum during their Kickstarter campaign, and wow, it's every bit as fantastic as you describe. I had an older Roborock before, but the difference in cleaning power between these two is like night and day-if night was a Roomba with no suction or mop at all and day was a small army of cleaning ladies on a caffeine high!
Mine also replaced the X1 omni as my regular. It was great when it came out, but for some reason for the last few months i used it - the thing just refused to clean certain areas and the mapping went absolutely haywire 💀
@@StusReviewsUK I posted some videos to send to Ecovacs to show how stupid it was being. In the videos you can see how dirty my floor is and the stupid things it was doing.
Thanks good overview and full review. I’ve kept coming back to this seeing it online, great to hear the depth of detail you bring on this product. Definitely helps, thanks 👍
Great review Stu. It does excel in its physical appearance definitely. The main thing is that it actually does its intended job to a high standard which you mention that it does. I suppose the cost is quite high but then again if it cleans and mops expertly every time then I suppose over its lifespan then it may work out acceptable. As you say though the only possible downside is when they launch another module that they cease supplying the fluid. Think robot vacuum/mops are still a relatively new genre so only time will tell.
Yeah who knows! I'd like to think if they release a second model, the cleaning solutions they have for this would be cross compatible... at the end of the day it benefits the manufacturer too! (don't have to waste on RnD and remanufacturing the bottles)!
£1400 cheerio eater extraordinaire! 😂 For me, living in the countryside with children and dogs it’s a no brainer this type of kit to save me time. (Plus I can technically tell the wife I’ve cleaned the floors… even if I’ve just pressed one button) 👀 Probably one of the only devices I couldn’t live without… that and dishwashers!
Yeah, this is insane. $2,000 to $4000 for robot mowers. $1400 for robot vacuums. $70k to $200k for battery cars. $1200 for battery push mowers because they have aluminum deck that my $200 Honda had 30 years ago. This world is nuts!!!
Each to their own I guess. Yes, it is expensive but everyone's cost vs benefit evaluation will be different. Depending on your own disposable income, how clean you want your floors to be and the value you place on your own time. Definitely won't make sense to some but will definitely make sense to others. Only you yourself can work out if makes sense for yourself.
Looks like a nice robot vacuum, i just wish they wouldn't dictate cleaning solutions, it's not even really about the money. It's more about being able to choose your own or use a solution that works well for your floor. Though that's very much against our Subscription based society I know. I do wonder though that this is a case where waiting is best, as rotating washing pads and these rolers are fairly new, so a 2nd gen version would probably be the better choice. Thanks for the review, especially showing the pick up on your uneven floor.
That’s a thought I hadn’t actually considered. I guess with specialist floors it might not be the most suitable. Admittedly I haven’t tried my own solution in the tank yet like I normally would… certainly hesitant given the ozonation of the water!
The wrong cleaning solution can clog up the pipes or foam up too much, both of which can cause problems and damage. Totally understand Eufy wanting to have only their own solution for this reason.
@@mil3761 Understandable, however some floors state the same thing, heck it may even void warranty if you use other than their product to clean. See the conundrum here? And from looking on the website of Eufy for the cleaning solution it doesn't advise what is in it. Of course at this point you can argue that a Robot vacuum is almost as expensive as said flooring.
One correction, it does have Lidar it's just within the body of the unit rather than having a puck on top. The front of the unit has a slit where it looks out from.
Listen again 👀 where I’m talking about the height, I said it doesn’t have the little hat for the LIDAR that normal cleaners have, but it has the panel at the front which combines an RGB camera, dtof lidar and 3d slam sensors 👍
I would say at $1400.00 it's "Wallet-Breaking" to say the least. You are better off purchasing the SwitchBot S10 that self-drains and self-refills from your own plumbing and it's a lot cheaper at $1199 with a $400 discount for a total price of $799.00. Eufy makes good products but this is way overpriced. I have to say that is one beautiful looking dog.
That’s the thing that this is missing - the s10 certainly wins on its multi functionality, but performance wise I’d say this performs better overall (as I mentioned with things like the mopping functionality). Whether is £400 better… well that’s up for debate!
There were £200 off coupons during the UK Amazon Prime Day period. It was reduced on both Amazon and directly from Eufy. Probably similar discount in the upcoming Black Friday. Worth holding out if you can for a better deal.
You’re so funny! Love the videos! I’d love to see a side by side comparison of roller mop robots like the eufy Omni S1 pro, the switchbot S10 and the Eureka J20. I have mostly wood floors, tile in the kitchen and master bath. I’m a busy working mom of two under 10 and a golden retriever puppy. I can install any of these and I’m fine with paying more for performance. Just need to know which one will be the best mop, most reliable, with the least time needed from me (be it regular maintenance or figuring out tech stuff, troubleshooting, or tech support). Thank you!!
If you’re looking at the best raw mopping power, then I’d say this is the best for it! Downside is not being able to plumb it in like the SB s10, so the S10 gets my vote for the most ‘intervention free’ experience! if you’re happy with not plumbing it in, then go with this one 👍
Update: I got both robots to compare. The eufy mops pretty much from end to end while the switchbot doesn’t. It won’t mop almost 3 inches from the wall or furniture. I know some reviewers tried to explain this but it wasn’t clear to me until I actually saw the difference. The eufy mop roll is almost twice as long as the switchbot. I was so disappointed because I really wanted the self fill and self empty feature. But I need good mopping way more. So switchbot is going back.
For this price point. It should have an arm on the side that sweeps off the baseboard moldings!!!!
I’d patent that idea now. Because if it existed, I’d be buying it! 👀
They will be a lot cheaper once everyone copies the mop roller. First generation is always more expensive.

I know right! It’s a super powerful piece of kit and one of the best performing models I’ve tested so far!
I've had mine for a couple of days and it's absolutely excellent. Specially compared to the Gen-z, work-shy Deebot X1 Omni it replaced!

Just got mine 2 weeks ago. It replaced a Roborock S7. I absolutely love it. Great mopping capabilities.
I know right! Just went to IFA and saw the mopping capabilities demoed against others and it was quite impressive. Video in the roundup coming soon 👍
A perfect time for this review, my Honiture has just given up the ghost and need a new Robo Vac, this looks perfect! Thanks Stu
You won't go wrong with this bad boy! Excellent performance and real stand out appearance!

The only thing I would want is it to be able to plumb into the waste and water. Apparently that is going to happen with an updated model.

Can it be plumbed into the household waste and water supply like a dishwasher so the base station can self empty and self fill?
Not sure why floor cleaning water needs to be more sterile than drinking water Stu 😅
I'm not sure either... 😂 🤷♂️
Ozone water - aka what happens at your local swimming pool.
I never knew it was employed to that level! Makes me feel better about public swimming pools 😂
I don't like these LCD screens on things. They're always the first thing to break
Fortunately it’s not necessary for functionality, so even if it did - it would still work 👌
