is there a way to take 2d video of say a movie or a tv show and adjust it based on the field of view of the footage (based on the lens it was filmed with) and make a partial video sphere out of it where it looks like you are viewing the video like looking through a hole into the real world. like your head is the camera. like how a 180 vr camera can capture enough field of view to create a proper vr video. a narrower angle lens like 35mm on a cienam camera is collecting just a narrower field of view. its hard to describe so i'm not sure if my description is clear. when you usualy view video footage in vr you just watch it in 16:9 rectangular or whatever it was filmed in, and so in vr it looks like you are looking at a video on a flat screen. i think it would be cool to be able to lens correct the fottage and make it seem like you are seeing it like in a vr video sphere. is it possible?
thanks man! gat video!
