The title for this video is kind of misleading. Yes it technically all takes place in AE but if you want to throw any kind of 3D asset into your project you need Element 3D which is a $200 plugin.
I LOVE the chaotic nature of this video; - the editing cuts it so close to the bare bones of what is helpful. Man even got a trim midway through a chapter!
Thanks for this video. Whenever I try to make a vr video in AE it looks like a rounded fishbowl on UA-cam. I tried to make a simple room with 3d solids, but there are no right angles. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks.

With a plugin called ambeo mini from sennheiser. It just emulates 3d audio, it doesn't link the audio to an object on your 3D space like spatial audio

Can you do this with blender files???
blender can output 360/equilateral footage for compositing in after effects.. also you can import obj models from blender and use them in element 3d
