I wish the prosecutor luck trying to redo a trial in which the Mass State Police Department has concluded that the lead investor engaged in misconduct. I disagree with this channel. This case will never again see the inside of a courtroom - other than hearings for motions to dismiss charges.

Paul O'keefe's interview was extremely upsetting to me. It's like he only went to court to stare at Karen because he sure didn't go to listen to the evidence.

It was very painful to watch. Believe this family has suffered a lot and have yet to process those grief and they have to believe the law enforcement has done the best for there loved one even because he was law enforcement. So I think that’s all they can see for now
Have you seen the interview Paul O'Keefe gave yesterday? So sad how much he hates KR and believes she's guilty. Rather ironic, considering in 2020 he was arrested for DUI causing a man to be in a wheelchair now..... AND KR is the one who bailed him out. How quickly he's forgotten his mistake. I believe he's still on probation for that too.
What stunned me about that interview, was when asked why his family believes KR killed John, it was based on vibes she gave afterwards. Imagine….sounds like all the evidence, experts, and trials won’t convince them of her innocence.

I can understand the O’Keefe’s being sad and devastated but of course they would want Justice for John more than us who don’t even know him. The evidence of Karen being responsible never showed up at that trial, not even close. This just doesn’t make sense from the outside but I guess we’ll never know the deepness of their hatred for Karen.
They began IA investigation when the public pressure became too intense. They had to do something. They would have done nothing if they could have turned a blind eye, but the world was watching.

I just watched the Paul O’Keefe interview and it made me want to look into the pre trial hearings a bit more. If you watch the arraignment that happened on 2/2/2022, I think it’s possible to see why the family believes she is guilty. From John’s death on 1/29/2022, everything happened very quickly and there was never time for a thorough investigation or an alternative explanation. The autopsy was done within two days and the arraignment was only 2-3 days after that. The family was told within a few days after John’s death that Karen killed him and they have looked at everything through that lens. This trial should have been delayed until after the FBI investigation concluded so that all parties had time to review and process the information. I do not think the CW proved Karen was guilty, but I do understand how difficult it would be for the OK family to accept the findings of the last two witnesses.
Also I noticed how the Alberts have made themselves indispensable to the Okeefe so a lot more wasgoing on before the trial. The Okeefes really need to be left alone by everyone including the other suspects which is my belief.But sorry the FBI is investigating
My problem is the Prosecutor can’t explain how John was killed. His body has no bruising. There is a huge rectangular hole in back of his head. This doesn’t happen in a car accident. It happens when someone gets hit in the back of the head with an object.
It’s a head scratcher to me that anyone could believe her car could have done those marks on his arm. Like, okay but … that’s a real stretch of the imagination.

Why did they put john on the lawn to die instead of call john help? It makes no sense. I think they didn't want any investigation going on inside their home or with their phones. Hiding something having nothing to do with john or karen.
What scares me is we find these things out only because they're high profile cases. But how many times does this happen where people have a public defender or it's not a high profile case? I think they should look back at past cases of this judge and see if he's pulled stunts

They held off on the Proctor announcement until after the trial was over hoping they could still get a guilty verdict. Gross behavior and I don't believe for a second they found out during the trial. If they were truly interested in justice and cleaning up their garbage everyone on those text groups would be under investigation.
People hate her. They want her to be guilty, and when that happens, there's no amount of evidence that will overcome someone's predetermined emotional verdict.

I personally think the only reason why they made the statement of an IA investigation is because now they are embarrassed because it was on national television and very publicized what he said and how the entire department acted. Key context to Judge Glanville’s “decision” to refer the recusal motions to another judge: the Supreme Court of Georgia denied a mandamus from one of the defense attorneys but issued some clarity that it should be filed in the proper court and of course Glanville couldn’t hear it. The Supreme Court basically forced him to about face.
Hit the lawyer you know channel where you hear the judge reading the motion. Very monotone no remorse know anything. He was definitely forced to do this.
Read: The O'Keefe family is still seeking justice, and there are multiple LEOs that chose to NOT investigate the murder of another LEO. Baldwin: A woman was murdered, an armorer was found guilty, but Baldwin pulled the trigger. YT: The judge broke the law, ordered balifs to violate civil rights of defense attn, and still hasn't been held accountable. The common denominator is that justice is (VERY) slow, can fail to actually remedy the damage done, and often involves people who think they are above the law... but it's still better than 90% of the other countries on this planet.
I fundamentally agree with you on every point, save for the last, with some suggested clarification. I think a fair assessment would consider that the US comes from the Common Law lineage of legal "genealogy." Of course we work within that framework to improve the process, but no other country shares our history. That lack of social, cultural, and historical analogues makes comparisons inapposite. Our system of law lacks the cleanliness and uniformity of a jurisdiction from the civil law "branch" of legal theory. Basically, saying "It works the best for us, in this country, at this time, without uprooting the whole of our jurisprudence" rings truthfully. Saying "Ninety percent of other countries, regardless of history, regardless of time, regardless of their established systems of law, fundamentally lacks something only American justice can remedy" sounds -- well, it doesn't hit the right note. It rings with the sounds of nationalism and idealism; and yet, no one designs the wheels of justice to turn back wrongs and rewrite reality. I will (and can) reiterate that I fundamentally agree on your other points. If the O'Keefe Family believes the only way to honor John O'Keefe means convicting (and demonizing) Karen Read, their position sadly holds no weight. Their bad vibes and personal dislikes do not and can not stand in the place of evidence in open court. They trust their inner circle of friends to the exclusion of reason. They place blame on defense attorneys who did and do their jobs with the zealous advocacy it requires, but they assign no blame to the investigative agencies who chose facts to fit a theory instead of the correct way. That sounds like a deep level of dissonance to me. Baldwin pulled the trigger, unless he somehow didn't, which will no doubt appear at trial. Judge Glanville puts on his soothing voice and gentle demeanor, but he has acted with far less honor than his position demands of him. The prosecution sounds no better. In your words, with the facts we have, justice takes time. No one disputes that. I jotted this all down in a few minutes, so please pardon its length. I remain confident that you can see my points and evaluate them against how you perceive the legal systems in other countries. Please also keep in mind that the US operates as a federal republic: at least fifty wheels of justice turn -- one for each State in the Union. Each wheel mills its authorities and directions from case law in that State's Supreme Court and (where necessary) the US Supreme Court. I wholeheartedly agree that the complexity of our system presents potentials and opportunities which can emerge over time. I cannot endorse broadly that the complexity stands as a beacon of superiority over some, most, or all other political subdivisions on Earth.

I think their hand was forced regarding a IA investigation once Proctor started contradicting evidence he’d given in the grand jury case when he was giving evidence eg the not knowing any of the Alberts or the McAbe family then in testimony he admitted working cold cases with one relative, admitting meeting others in his parents house etc etc etc only when he was backed into a corner did he openly admit that he knew several members of the family showing dishonesty not only in his Grand Jury testimony but also continuing to deny it until evidence was presented THEN he told the truth. Also he admitted drink driving in his marked police vehicle and he admitted he had no clue what the procedure was regarding continuity of evidence when that was a KEY part of his role as lead investigator plus he admitted that he passed information to his sister that had not been released to the public, another act of dishonesty and integrity issue. None of the above information was included in evidence, it wasn’t until he admitted it giving evidence that it became known. This is all off the top of my head, if I watched his testimony again I’m sure I could find lots more.
Same. I am not invested in the Baldwin trial really at all and my brain still needs more info on the Read case. I need all the pretrial stuff and info that didn't come in. I need everything on the fbi investigation. I don't know if I even care to watch Baldwin. Baldwin seems fairly cut and dried. There are some questions for the jury but not many and they're simple questions. There might might be some interesting lawyering, but I don't know if I can make myself care about the case enough to go through it all.

According to retired Mass judge and Mass attorneys the judge does NOT poll the jury and the defense are not allowed to contact jurors unless the jurors contact them OR speak publicly.

That ALONE should make any sane and fair person admit that it’s impossible to convict based on proof beyond a reasonable doubt because if he wasn’t hit by a car, how is she responsible for his death? Forget the cover up allegations, forget the frame job forget the suggestions of what did happen, what the evidence definitely tells us is what didn’t happen, and what didn’t happen was that car hitting o’keefe and causing the injuries leading to his death. Tell me, how can anybody operating in good faith possibly stand by a guilty verdict when it’s basically been laid as fact that he did not die the way the commonwealth’s case and charges implicitly state he did. You can’t charge someone for leaving the scene of a non-accident. You can’t charge someone for DUI manslaughter when operating a vehicle has no connection to the death, and you certainly cannot say she’s guilty of intentionally running him down and killing him with her car in the same universe where it’s acknowledged that he did not die as a result of Gettjng hit by a car. No matter what you think of taillight pieces being found somewhere, that does not come close to surpassing the bar of reasonable doubt about the manner of death with these far more concrete conclusions by even the medical examiner. Where is your moral certainty ; do you have the moral fortitude to admit that the testimony and evidence do not support a conviction with the highest burden of proof in the court system?

Apparently the police union is one of the most protective unions which is why the IA investigation will take time. Atty Mark Bederow of NY says that Proctor is of no use in further investigations because he can not be put on the stand to testify.

Proctor is under union. There’s going to be a hearing according to that. You’d be surprised what the union will protect. If he had any self awareness, he’d resign. But he said he hated Yanetti on the stand for calling him out personally for being unprofessional when he himself said he behaved unprofessionally. Dude, what? You insulted him and his client in text messages and expected Yanetti to what? Send you a bouquet of teddy bears.
I would be surprised if Proctor gets fired. And even if he does get fired, he’d get hired somewhere else. That’s how police misconduct is typically handled.

It seems to me that if they really cared about rooting out misconduct, Proctor wouldn't be the only trooper under fire.

My understanding of the trial was not to find out what happened to JO but rather what didn't.
There is no way KR was responsible.

If KR had been found guilty Proctor wouldn’t have been removed at all. And I 100% think he will still be a cop in 2 years time.

Imagine what happens in trials that aren’t under a microscope. The problem is judges keep acting like this bc most of the time, they get away with it.

The TikTok psychic could have done a better job 'investigating' this than the Canton PD and MA State Police.

I personally think the only reason why they made the statement of an IA investigation is because now they are embarrassed because it was on national television and very publicized what he said and how the entire department acted. Now they're trying to cover their booties cause their butts are on fire.

Key context to Judge Glanville’s “decision” to refer the recusal motions to another judge: the Supreme Court of Georgia denied a mandamus from one of the defense attorneys but issued some clarity that it should be filed in the proper court and of course Glanville couldn’t hear it. The Supreme Court basically forced him to about face.
Hit the lawyer you know channel where you hear the judge reading the motion. Very monotone no remorse know anything. He was definitely forced to do this.

Read: The O'Keefe family is still seeking justice, and there are multiple LEOs that chose to NOT investigate the murder of another LEO.
Baldwin: A woman was murdered, an armorer was found guilty, but Baldwin pulled the trigger.
YT: The judge broke the law, ordered balifs to violate civil rights of defense attn, and still hasn't been held accountable.
The common denominator is that justice is (VERY) slow, can fail to actually remedy the damage done, and often involves people who think they are above the law... but it's still better than 90% of the other countries on this planet.
That’s no excuse for our justice system looking like AGT.

I fundamentally agree with you on every point, save for the last, with some suggested clarification. I think a fair assessment would consider that the US comes from the Common Law lineage of legal "genealogy." Of course we work within that framework to improve the process, but no other country shares our history. That lack of social, cultural, and historical analogues makes comparisons inapposite. Our system of law lacks the cleanliness and uniformity of a jurisdiction from the civil law "branch" of legal theory.
Basically, saying "It works the best for us, in this country, at this time, without uprooting the whole of our jurisprudence" rings truthfully. Saying "Ninety percent of other countries, regardless of history, regardless of time, regardless of their established systems of law, fundamentally lacks something only American justice can remedy" sounds -- well, it doesn't hit the right note. It rings with the sounds of nationalism and idealism; and yet, no one designs the wheels of justice to turn back wrongs and rewrite reality.
I will (and can) reiterate that I fundamentally agree on your other points. If the O'Keefe Family believes the only way to honor John O'Keefe means convicting (and demonizing) Karen Read, their position sadly holds no weight. Their bad vibes and personal dislikes do not and can not stand in the place of evidence in open court. They trust their inner circle of friends to the exclusion of reason. They place blame on defense attorneys who did and do their jobs with the zealous advocacy it requires, but they assign no blame to the investigative agencies who chose facts to fit a theory instead of the correct way. That sounds like a deep level of dissonance to me.
Baldwin pulled the trigger, unless he somehow didn't, which will no doubt appear at trial. Judge Glanville puts on his soothing voice and gentle demeanor, but he has acted with far less honor than his position demands of him. The prosecution sounds no better. In your words, with the facts we have, justice takes time. No one disputes that.
I jotted this all down in a few minutes, so please pardon its length. I remain confident that you can see my points and evaluate them against how you perceive the legal systems in other countries. Please also keep in mind that the US operates as a federal republic: at least fifty wheels of justice turn -- one for each State in the Union. Each wheel mills its authorities and directions from case law in that State's Supreme Court and (where necessary) the US Supreme Court. I wholeheartedly agree that the complexity of our system presents potentials and opportunities which can emerge over time. I cannot endorse broadly that the complexity stands as a beacon of superiority over some, most, or all other political subdivisions on Earth.

❓️MSP waited until after the trial to fire Proctor. MSP & PROSECUTION both knew all this about Proctor. I feel like they colluded to keep Proctor on, to help the trial. Ethically is that OK?❓️
No set Proctor up to get rid of him. They knew about conflict of interest and poisoned behavior. They knew emails could be evidence.

I think their hand was forced regarding a IA investigation once Proctor started contradicting evidence he’d given in the grand jury case when he was giving evidence eg the not knowing any of the Alberts or the McAbe family then in testimony he admitted working cold cases with one relative, admitting meeting others in his parents house etc etc etc only when he was backed into a corner did he openly admit that he knew several members of the family showing dishonesty not only in his Grand Jury testimony but also continuing to deny it until evidence was presented THEN he told the truth. Also he admitted drink driving in his marked police vehicle and he admitted he had no clue what the procedure was regarding continuity of evidence when that was a KEY part of his role as lead investigator plus he admitted that he passed information to his sister that had not been released to the public, another act of dishonesty and integrity issue. None of the above information was included in evidence, it wasn’t until he admitted it giving evidence that it became known. This is all off the top of my head, if I watched his testimony again I’m sure I could find lots more.

I don't know if I even care to watch Baldwin. Baldwin seems fairly cut and dried. There are some questions for the jury but not many and they're simple questions. There might might be some interesting lawyering, but I don't know if I can make myself care about the case enough to go through it all.

John O'Keefe brother have an interview yesterday. I feel for the O'Keefe Family and i wish they would see all the evidence but they like Proctor and all the investigators in this case. There too blinded but there hurt. I get that but you can't accuse a person because of feelings.
They have trusted the investigation. It gives them an answer that they need. If the investigation is wrong, then they have no answers and may never get them. 😢
According to retired Mass judge and Mass attorneys the judge does NOT poll the jury and the defense are not allowed to contact jurors unless the jurors contact them OR speak publicly.

@@kathybates1751you say it’s the evidence that makes you not just dismiss the veracity of the charges, but evidence is exactly what both the commonwealth’s and defense’s witnesses (The ME, that is, for the commonwealth, plus well known experts with no reason for bias) referred to when they said unequivocally that o’keefe’s injuries were not the result of being hit by a car.
That ALONE should make any sane and fair person admit that it’s impossible to convict based on proof beyond a reasonable doubt because if he wasn’t hit by a car, how is she responsible for his death? Forget the cover up allegations, forget the frame job forget the suggestions of what did happen, what the evidence definitely tells us is what didn’t happen, and what didn’t happen was that car hitting o’keefe and causing the injuries leading to his death.
Tell me, how can anybody operating in good faith possibly stand by a guilty verdict when it’s basically been laid as fact that he did not die the way the commonwealth’s case and charges implicitly state he did. You can’t charge someone for leaving the scene of a non-accident. You can’t charge someone for DUI manslaughter when operating a vehicle has no connection to the death, and you certainly cannot say she’s guilty of intentionally running him down and killing him with her car in the same universe where it’s acknowledged that he did not die as a result of Gettjng hit by a car.
No matter what you think of taillight pieces being found somewhere, that does not come close to surpassing the bar of reasonable doubt about the manner of death with these far more concrete conclusions by even the medical examiner. Where is your moral certainty ; do you have the moral fortitude to admit that the testimony and evidence do not support a conviction with the highest burden of proof in the court system?
@@kathybates1751 What about no blood around his head, no injuries inside or out, by a 7000 Pound SUV going 24 mile an hour except the head gash and the arm. and you think guilty because tail light fragments in the shirts which were in Proctors trunk for two weeks? She had no problem letting in evidence with a severely broken chain of custody or barring the defense from opening with their key theory.
Bev is the reason for the mistrial. She’s a hack. So bad at her job it’s mind blowing. The last case she had ended in a mistrial as well. Shocker! That ALSO involved the death of a Weymouth police officer who was brutally killed and an older woman who got hit by a stray bullet. Bev caused a mistrial just recently in that case as well. She’s incompetent
I watched the whole thing, and there was way more evidence and facts that she is innocent, how can anyone not see that - beyond reasonable doubt. So it’s a not guilty from me
because this whole case and framed work comes from the whole police dptmt and also judge bevs ,, imo she manipulated the jury , starting with those confusing instructions and allegadelly dismissing 3 jurors at the last minute bcs they were ready to vote not guilty ,,, thats what s being said 👀🤷🏻♀️

Apparently the police union is one of the most protective unions which is why the IA investigation will take time. Atty Mark Bederow of NY says that Proctor is of no use in further investigations because he can not be put on the stand to testify.

Proctor is under union. There’s going to be a hearing according to that. You’d be surprised what the union will protect. If he had any self awareness, he’d resign. But he said he hated Yanetti on the stand for calling him out personally for being unprofessional when he himself said he behaved unprofessionally. Dude, what? You insulted him and his client in text messages and expected Yanetti to what? Send you a bouquet of teddy bears.

If the lead investigator is corrupt, how can they retry? That makes no sense.
Re: Proctor. I'm not at all surprised that they didn't do anything until after it looked bad in public. It is, however, quite telling that despite five MSP officers being in the nudes group chat (one of whom was Proctor's boss), Proctor is the only one being punished. It seems to me that if they really cared about rooting out misconduct, Proctor wouldn't be the only trooper under fire.
