This trial has really shown the difference between actual expert witnesses and people who think they are expert witnesses.
Edit :) my opinion has become that they reflect poorly on the lawyers, who lets face it are not good. Presumably these are experts they chose, specifically because of their unethical and unprofessional 'flexible' approach to the truth.

If the client doesn’t tell the truth, then legally they can spin any story that will help the client win. Heck some people tell all to their lawyer. There job isn’t to tell on the person they are defending, it’s to create their clients defense to win. Unless they have concrete evidence a lawyer can spin a story to make their client look like a saint. Nearly all guilty people go in to court with a made up story. This is one of the reasons lawyers advise the guilty not to testify, because if they find you guilty they can then charge you with perjury. Not to mention it’s not easy to remember exactly details of a fraudulent story and a good lawyer will dig in to small details just to prove the story isn’t true.

Of course, it'd probably be much more involved and difficult since you'd likely need to alter the logs of the operating system itself etc, but as i said, *technically* possible. It's just the nature of anything digital really.

I will say she has a good chance for going to prison.
I don't know for certain because I wasn't there in the first place when all the abuse, defamation and her making the fake evidence but I'm pretty confident that she did all of this because of all the evidence and her defense not being that great in this trial.

( please take the time too read this especially if you are or were a dv victim thanks jeanie)
This actually disgust me as a DV victim myself, Amber has made a mockery I feel like she's poking fun of us real survivors I couldn't look at my perpetrator or even if someone talked about this person without being terrified I would look down on the ground even when anyone else would talk to me for the longest time i was a shadow of myself, afraid of everything& everyone still to this day I have severe PTSD I have severe emotional issues and I have severe panic attacks I was not only abused by 1 person but 2& 1 was my mother from childhood till she passed i was 29 💔 so I thought it was normal because I grew up with it it's more common for us to find a significant other who was similar and that was my poor judgement I'm not saying that every DV victim is the same,
But come on I'm sure there's a lot of actual victims even here watching this and they are infuriated no one should blame another person that they are actually a perpetrator when they were the victim, I know my opinion doesn't matter but she did this just to tarnish his name& ultimately too destroy his very successful career just because he wanted out of the marriage because of the abuse and to get his money just my opinion, she's not afraid in the least she's actually showing hostilityand in some cases actually comes off mad when confronted and shown to have lied,
I sort of knew that Johnny was going to win the case but I am very happy that he did and it's not for any other reason but to show people that men can actually be DV victims as well and that it's definitely okay to speak out and can get Justice, its not ok no matter your gender, religion,or,race,or sexual preference .abuse is abuse ,remember whoever maybe reading this rather long post you are worth it get away don't let anyone verbally emotionally psychologically or physically harm you please get out no matter the situation, and as much as they tell you they're going to change and get better it doesn't no matter how much you tried there's something in them that's not wired correctly& there's always help out there to assist you,in leaving & getting you back on your feet,& remember you can't fix them as much as you want too, they are toxic, please get out, it doesn't matter if you feel you don't have the money or any place to go everything will work out with the right help!! too other victims which I consider my sisters or brothers it took me a long time to believe that I was strong enough and that I was worth getting my life back I'm telling you right now you are worth it you are loved and you are valued and you don't deserve any of this that's happening to you there's so many victims that are not here right now because they didn't leave and they felt they can stay and fix the person or they were just too scared we don't need another statistic, your stronger then you think your loved& your valid,i know because i was you your me & we are a family 👪 God bless us all,

the most amazing part of this guy's testimony is that he wasn't even using his full power, amber's defense prohibited him from speaking about the chromatic values of each individual photo, which could help him explain more easily how the photos were altered and even with those constraints, he managed to destroy the credibility of the photos and at moments, even embarrassed amber's lawyer.

He has 42 years of expertise in the digital sector and has shot videos from helicopters for 14,700 hours. Depp’s team got the single most experienced certified forensic expert in the World to testify that Heard’s team sent him screen grabs and not pictures that came from the camera on her iPhone. She didn’t want an expert to be able to prove just how many edited photos she had on her phone. ( BTW the screen grab pics came from the phone that Depp supposedly threw off their balcony and destroyed and she said in her deposition that her photos weren’t available as she’d run out of space on her cloud. Yet she was able to provide old screen grabs to Neumeister.) She underestimated this expert. He is incredibly skilled at what he does. 😊

I disagree. Don't get me wrong, I'm not an Amber fan, however, I do have a good understanding of the personality disorders she's struggled and is currently struggling with.
She lashes out in a really hyper sensationalist manner when she's hurt, mad & upset in general.
While I'm not arguing her intentions were good, I think this was a result of her her ever increasingly dramatic tendency to try and out-lash Johnny & she went way too far.
It probably felt really good at the time, obviously, hence her incessant attempts to stage and direct the drama but there came a point long before this when she knew she'd crossed a line and it's been about damage control & self preservation ever since. The thing is, it's gotten so big on account of Johnny fighting back, she knows everything is on the line & she'll do what she has to.

It’s so frustrating to hear this lawyer try to manipulate his answers. CS is a very complex topic and any proper answer to a question requires a certain amount of extra explanation, especially if the person you are talking to has no background in the field. Also in regards to his questions regarding his degrees or lack of degrees, a large number of people working in the field of CS don’t actually have a formal degree but still have the same or at least comparable level of knowledge as someone who does

Lots of the OG’s help shape and write the textbooks for the courses people take nowadays. to
"you found no evidence .... correct ?" (30:06)
And the witness is sharp enough to notice that difference at the end, which allows him to confidently say "that is incorrect" rather than "yes"/"no" ...
The difference in implications between "correct/incorrect" VS "yes/no" are huge...
"Incorrect" means its incorrect to assume there is no evidence that someone edited the photos, because thats still a likely reason why the exif datas are different. Which is precisely what he is trying to tell the jury ...

That's how she remembered who she was. She was held overnight in jail and Tasya refused to press charges. So, at her arraignment, the judge let her go on the condition that if she was arrested again for the same charge, that incident would be enforced. AH claimed she was homophobic, but she was head of the LGBTQ rights division in her area at that time. She used her phone to testify. 19:54 I don't understand that part. The lawyer asked what other methods were used, besides checking the EXIF data. The witness was answering: "I also used (...)". And mention the chromatic changes, but he wasn't allowed to explain it. How he was not responsive? What was expected as an answer? Then the lawyer said he did not remember the question.

The jury is going to completely disregard Amber’s attorneys examination of the photo witness. It’s totally obvious that he’s trying too desperately, and is clearly in a total panic. He thought he could frame a question in a way which would cause the expert to say “no, I didn’t find issues in the pics”, but they weren’t pics, they were screenshots - which were probably taken after they had finished altering them in photoshop. I truly believe they did that on purpose - in attempt to block the rabbit trail.

Screen grabs means capturing the display of an image file, which results in an image that is not the original, nor is it a version of the original file, because it is a new file, of an image displayed on the monitor. It is not exactly the same, but compare with someone taking a photo with their mobile phone of what is displayed on a computer screen. It is a new image. There is no way to compare the data info within the original because that info is not captured. In old fashioned pics, imagine placing a print on the table and then using a camera to photograph the photograh.

Well you can't jump to any conclusions other than it went thru some processing. It's normal for photos to go thru some enhancements with Instagram or some filters program. But that doesn't mean it's not accurate. It's still a pretty good photo but slightly enhanced in some way so it's not exactly an original but maybe 98% of the original and these enhancements are usually color saturation. Now some programs can edit the photo dramatically but we don't know.

The actual real evidence (Iphone used to take the photos ) is gone! Itunes - export does not have the history of the photograph (Exif data). She could have edited the the photos ->> uploaded them to ITunes --> > lost the phone thus loosing all the pertinent information regarding the photos ( Exif data)! I learned about the Photoshop file mark when studying photography.
Its funny just how many people lie about editing pictures. The one that I have here as my profile picture is edited, just a few lighting changes but we all do it because its so easy to do.
Many of the basic things you can do in Photoshop & other image editing software is based on techniques used in the dark room.
Most of the time, unless done by a master, with a little experience with the processes yourself you can easily see where & how an image is edited. If its something outside of basic filters.
But that file mark makes things much simpler. Its one of the many benefits of moving to digital. Its easier than ever to know for a fact that someone is lying about image manipulation in post.
