Those snares are amazing
Yes , thanks for taking in consideration my product improvement suggestion👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽. Im pretty sure ppl were asking for this too of course. Of course you guys always take everything to the next level. 👍🏽
Good grief those snares sound unbelievable.
This is mind blowing...
You can never have too many snares in your DAW.
Great job, guys! Must have addition.
But what about Hi-Res display support and window scaling for EZDrummer? It's 2020 now, Toontrack. Hope you understand how important is this.
Glad to hear! We'll forward your input regarding EZD2 to our development team!
Hi! really nice expansion... a question, i didn't get if these kicks and snares can be used along with the original presets that come in EZ drummer (Modern and Vintage)... thx
I like thi one I could find them I suppose by my self or stack items until I got that sound. I’ve done some very successful stacking of snares and bass drums. I’ve not tried gongs and cymbals yet but there’s a good goal for tomorrow morning.l don’t know if I even have a gong to start with. Is there a gong in the SD3 SOUNDS.ANYONE KNOWTHIS.? Let me know if you do.
"can it do a really clean Entheos style drumkit with lotsa snap? Little snare, Clicky but not to overdone kick, heaps of layers and articulations, etc.
Where are these samples pulled from?
The Kicks & Snares EZX features never-before-released kick/snare samples recorded in the UK and Australia.
@@toontrack you guys are boss!!
I think the only issue with adding the snares and kick to another EX expansion, say DFH, is that you would no longer have that multi band mixing ability for them anymore, am I correct?
In Superior Drummer 3 you would use the "Route instruments microphones" section to break out the multi band electronic channels to new channels in the mixer. In EZdrummer 2 the electronic channels are present in the sound but there is no way to change their level. In this case you would instead bring in elements of DFH into the Kicks and snares EZX to have all functionality.
@@toontrack True, I never thought of "reverse engineering" if you will other EX expansions into Kicks and Snares. Obvious the kit is limited to the size then, but it's better than nothing. Thanks for the reply 👍
@@ThePilate30 just pick an eX kit that has the amount of drums/cymbals u need and just swap out the kicks and snares with these from that one
Nice!! You got my money!
Hi , I’m a toontrack fan since the beginning. Here is a little constructive criticism / personal opinion.
The expansion for sure packs great sounds and I’m sure I’ll check it out in a near future. It’s listed as many other EZX at 3GB of memory space.
With 30 kicks ,40 snares plus toms and cymbals on just 3gb doesn't sound ( to me ) that the kit is very well sampled.
Why do i need 30 kicks or 40 snares if i can’t program a realistic performance with complex snare rolls , usable “ruff hits” distinct left and right hand hits etc. The original DFH from the early 2000’s with the correspondent ADD-ON cd was more detailed in terms of realism than many of the EZX expansions. For example, Metalheads ezx , great sounding expansion, but terrible in terms of realism, rimshots are not proper rimshots but sound like sidestick hits and very few layers from soft to hard. You can make it work for sure, but why castrate a kit that sounds that good!
I’ll better have 20 snares with better articulations and velocity layers than 40 snares that lacks dynamics.
The difference between Superior and the EZX line should be , as it is right now : mixer , routing, effects, numbers of kits and more detailed sampling. But some of the ezx are way to thin in terms of samples. I’ll repeat one of my first points, the original DFH has more velocities than many of the EZX’s. It should be in the same ballpark at least and that still a ton less than superior.
With the on growing competition of drums samples packs, you guys need to step it up a “little bit” on that aspect because the EZX line sound great and surely deserves it.
Peace!
josefrancisco These kicks and snares were deeply sampled. Check it out before you write it off.
@@ChrisWhittenMusic I'm Definitely checking it out.The opinion was more geared towards other EZX's. Maybe i wasn't clear enough. I forgot to add that more recent EZX's are way more detailed in terms of sampling. Maybe this one rules. Cheers!
Your Latin Percussion expansion is getting OLD !! We need different percussions for EZ-Drummer 2, i would GLADLY throw money at it.
To me it sounds perfect. Latin percussion shouldn't have a modern pop sound. Its more organic than anything as every latin percussion instrumentation and music it is. Salsa, Cumbia, Merengue , Bomba, Plena ,Wawanco ...Those are genres that its sound its pure organic and uses as a primary instruments Latin percussion instruments . A software becomes obsolete when its host is no longer compatible. Toontrack have took care of that area long time ago. This is why its still available for the new version of Superior Drummer and EZ drummer. Otherwise it wouldn't be on their site for sale. Dont you think...?
Toontrack shouldn't discontinue any of their drum expansion packs just because they are old. What about people who are newcomers to EZ Drummer? Shouldn't they also be able to chose the expansion packs best suited to their needs?
N H D Y Z Yes, please we need more latin percussion instruments like tambora dominicana, caja vallenata or even flamenco claps :)
4 minutes of video and not ONE usable sound.
If you don't think you can find any usable sounds in a product equipped with 40 snares and 30 kicks, and the means to give them extra snap and definition, then I really wonder what kind of music you are making and where you mind is at. I watched a 4 minute video filled with possibility and immediately added this to a high position on my wish list.
@@zedxxx9 it did not go through everything. Don't put words in my "mouth". My comment was about the poor selection of sounds for THIS video. All dull, low-tuned and floppy snares and kicks.
@@victorbicudo1374 haha
Actually there are at least 50 kicks and 50 snares, plus some alternates. Multiple drums, multiple studios, multiple drummers, the aim is something for everyone.
Fuck.. Really? I thought the samples sounded pretty good but then I read your comment. Guess I won't be buying this expansion then. Thank you for showing us foolish people the way. Thank you, Victor. Seriously. Thank you.
