A little about me and this channel:
My name is James Aubrey IV and I just recently graduated college from Iowa State University. After college I decided to take a leap of faith. So I moved to San Diego California to pursue my passion for videography/ UA-cam. Overall I'm a pretty chill person, outside of UA-cam I like to longboard, dance, play video games, lift weights and hangout with my friends. I know that success on UA-cam won't happen overnight but I'm willing to stay patient and put in the work to try to prefect my craft daily. This UA-cam channel will be centered around my life after college. You will be able to see all of the ups and downs on my journey to success. So if you like the content make sure you subscribe so you can be apart of the Rome Life Family. (Let's build our own personal Rome's together.)
What is the Rome Life ? And What does it mean to be apart of it?
Rome Life is something I started during my Sophomore year of high school (one of the worst times in my life) it started off as me documenting my journey to recovery from my shoulder surgery but eventually it turned into a platform that I could use to encourage myself as well as others to chase our dreams.
Rome Life isn't just a saying it's a way of life and for the people who want to be apart of it have to realize that. Rome wasn't built in a day it took a lot of handwork time and most importantly patience. So you can't expect your dreams to be any different
This is a reaction video used to educated and give my feedback on the song and artist

My god- your wife is *stunning* beautiful! What a gorgeous couple!
John McVie's bass guitar rif at the end just absolutely kicks the song up another level
Ikr!
And Lindsey is WAILING
Oh most definitely. I was having my son listen to it and told him to pay attention to the bass guitar, which keeps on with the same chords until the end and what it does for the song.
John’s got one of thickest, funkiest bass lines there is.
Exactly!
Best Fleetwood Mac song hands down imo. That bass line!
Yeah this album came out a few years before music videos were a thing, but their music is always amazing, really enjoy watching you guys, it's delightful...♡
James you still haven't seen her sing Rhiannon live from the midnight special!!!! She goes off!!!!!!!!!!!!! A MUST see for any Stevie fan!✌❤
it's out there and it's great!
Great album!!
The band was in relationship turmoil and Rumours was the result. Crazy.
Mystery by Dio.
❤️
This entire album is legendary. Lindsay's guitar is great. The sound of his guitar is unique from others because he uses nylon strings and not steel strings
Of course the other reason is that he's finger picking. That and because he uses some different phrasing, very much his own style, from his choice of notes to his creation of tension...and everything else we mentioned above.
Never knew that always enjoy checking out the comments for some interesting information they definitely seem to have put a lot of thought into their music and it definitely comes across that way grew up with them but don't really see me getting bored or tired of them in the near future if ever great music. Glad to know other people still enjoy this kind of music as much as I do.
Next song should be either 'Dreams' or the live version or 'Rhinnanon' live on the midnight special 1976.
YES!!!!
Rhinnanon Live on the midnight special has to be the next song.
Stevie goes OFF on this song.
I don’t know how broad your music taste goes but check out a band called Zeke covering Rhiannon
I'm also partial to The Dance version of, "Rhiannon", as well. She would get a great experience, watching that, too.
Or landslide, landslide is so emotional and gave me an existential crisis listening to it lol
This is an album everybody needs in their collection! 😄 I can't believe it's 44 years since l bought my copy, it still sounds as fresh as the day I first heard it.
"Landslide". Show her Landslide. She'll love it.
My all time favorite song, it describes My life to a T 🥰☮️✌️
I love "Leather and Lace!! Stevie Nicks was actually inducted into the Rock-N-Roll hall of fame TWICE!!!:Once in Fleetwood Mac and one for her solo career!!
This album was EVERYWHERE. I didn't know anyone who didn't have a copy. Phenomenal.
So true! There was a comic who said whether you liked it or not, the doorbell would ring & there Rumors was!😂 (everyone loved it of course) now every time my friend tags me in something with Stevie Nicks, she says "ding dong!"
I had 5 Copies, until mi madre got her own !
Most people have these 3 albums. Rumours. Dark side of the moon. Meatloaf bat of hell
Three iconic voices harmonizing perfectly, an exceptional drum beat, an amazing bass solo, and a filthy lead guitar solo. Yep, it’s an all time classic.
Anyone recommending Tusk? Tusk is great if you like marching bands. :)
The USC marching band still plays it.
@@almostfm it's pretty epic as far as marching band music goes.
TUSK, is another great one for first timers👍I was at this tour concert, Tucson😁I am 57 yrs old tho lol
The Tusk version with the marching band!
I was 18 when this album came ou!! It was a game changer!! The whole album is breath taking!! My all time favorite band!! Makes me so happy younger generations like them also!! So excited for your little bundle of joy!!! Ya'll will be amazing parents!!! Stay safe!
Show her the live performance of Rhiannon so she can see Stevie in action
Yes on the Midnight Special÷
She would love the 1982 live version. It is iconic!
Great first choice! That entire album is a must have in any collection. Gold Dust Woman, Rhiannon, Tusk and of course Dreams are others she needs to check out.
I love this series where you introduce music to your wife. It's like you get to have the same feeling we get when we watch you react to new music we love.
Have you been able to react to Silver Spring live yet!?!?
Show her Stevie's excellent live performance of Rhiannon on the Midnight Special.
James, I just wanted to say that I know I don’t know you but I really appreciate your videos you just seem like a good man with a good heart and I see you interact with your wife who is lovely by the way and I appreciate you and the work that you do keep it up man
The whole Rumors Album! have your wife listen
Taylor Swift dumps a guy and writes a song about him. Stevie Nicks dumped her boyfriend. She wrote many songs and made him sing them. BADASS.
Edit: your wife is beautiful. You're a lovely couple!
He returned the compliment, she had to song songs written by him. They're some of the best songs from the band
@@BRIDINC1972 and there's the legendary concert footage with the two of them basically using the song to play out there fight, staring daggers at one another & screaming their parts.
Not a meh track on the whole album. Probably the best album ever made.
Good reaction! I would recommend the song Fleetwood Mac's "Tusk"! If you can try to get the version with the "USC Marching band". ROCK ON!!
Whoever chose the first half of the second part of the song as the signature tune for Formula 1 racing on the BBC was inspired. Talk about a driving beat. Monumental!
The entire Rumors album is a work of art. Every song is fantastic! Pick any song! BTW, 1977.
So cool you're including her & baby will absorb the vibes too;)
She’s right. Seriously, who hasn’t put on Rumours and danced through the house? It’s what you do.
Love you guys. Great song and great channel. So great seeing young people keeping our music and keeping it relevant and alive. Thank you. Oh and I had a major crush on Stevie Nix when I was young….. what a voice, what a lady , what a performer
My moms favorite group always really enjoyed them aswell growing up. They have a unique style and flair you won't find from other groups. Even their love songs are a bit more textured and varied compared to the more simple love songs other groups produced like The Beatles for example. Glad your girlfriend was able to check this out and experience it she seemed to enjoy it which is good. This song in particular always seems to get my my mood in aore positive and energized place. While not the most complicated guitarwork whats there definitely compliments the song and thankfully theres a good amount of variables that go into it such as the multiple vocals being utilized. Always thought they dressed in a pretty stylistic way pretty bohemian and whimsical. Not sure what Ill check out next but Im glad Im spending time going through music again its been awhile. Anyone reading this feel free to reply just a random comment getting my thoughts out but its always good to hear other peoples perspectives. Either way thanks for the content. Peace.
Off topic but Wife is gorgeous.
Fleetwood Mac - Go Your Own Way (Live 1977)
I did some searching and this video real shows how tight this band was. It's not a love song or wait it might be, it kicks ass. (banger) thanks guys
Yes, please do more Fleetwood Mac with your wife!! I'd recommend the song, "Dreams" next from the same album. Or "Rhiannon." But, really, you won't' go wrong with any hit by Fleetwood Mac!
Landslide. listen to that.
Fleetwood Mac has a lot of live concert footage, definitely worth checking that out. I've seen FM in concert, and Stevie Nicks in concert solo as well.
One of the things that makes Fleetwood Mac such a great band are the backing harmonies. Another is that this song has a good stomping beat that makes you move your feet.
As a suggestion, if you haven't already listened (by the Beatles) a few I would recommend. Can't get enough of the Beatles.
- Taxman
- Hey Bulldog
- It's All Too Much
- Doctor Robert
- I'm Only Sleeping
- Paperback Writer
- Glass Onion
- Oh Darling
So Stevie wrote the lyrics and Lindsey had written the guitar solo at the end so the took the two songs and put them together and the way they use the bass solo to transition from the first part to second part is amazing, this is my favorite Fleetwood Mac Song. Almost perfect by my opinion.
The incredible things you can do when you have 3 crazy good singers and 5 song writers.
I love the use of a resonator guitar on this song! It's so reminiscent of a banjo with out the sharp banjo twang... And that bass lead solo to start the outro was, to use your word... 'Fire'! :) And don't forget, Dire Straits 'Wild West End' and 'Down to the Waterline' ua-cam.com/video/T4Ad_J_2l0w/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/PNO_fdDmFjs/v-deo.html
Awesome!
Fun fact: “Rumours” is the eighth best selling album of all time.
Only eighth!
I think I was 5 when this album came out, My babysitter was obsessed with this song lol 🥰
My babysitter obsessed with Young and Restless. I think she got my mom hooked. She used VCR so my mom could see it whenever
@@lina808waterwings my mother was addicted to Days of Our Lives from the time I can remember lol. I got addicted to Y & R when I was 13 lol
Curse of Feanor by Blind Guardian.
Seven Wonders is a must.. u guys definitely have to react to it
Rumours...One of the best albums ever!
The bass and lead solos in this song is the best pairing in rock!
Dreams and Gold Dust Woman. Good songs to appreciate Stevie's voice.
The entire “Rumours” album has to be heard, cover to cover at top volume while at the beach; during long drive; house-cleaning…there’s no other music like this….
Definitely Landslide, Dreams, Gypsy, and Tusk!!!✌🏻
Warriors of the World by Manowar.
According to my Spotify wrapped, I listened to 615 minutes of Fleetwood Mac last year 😂
Spotify keeping up with everything.Found a new category Icons💜😂
You two are adorable. 😊
This album 💿 is a timeless classic
Please react to some Stevie Nick's singles, "If You Ever Did Believe" for starters. Keep up the great, inspiring work. 💞
This song is about the emotional turmoil the band went through over romance, drugs and personality issues yet they still had bonds that kept them together to create great music. Lindsey Buckingham on fire for this solo is a sight to behold live
Awesome song and Amazing group, Thanks guys, Peace
This is the official live video: ua-cam.com/video/kBYHwH1Vb-c/v-deo.html
Definitely my favorite version from their live reunion concert in 1997, "The Dance"
Edge of Seventeen by Stevie Nicks (solo) .....who is Fleetwood Mac singer.... fantastic track.......watch video..... brilliant in my opinion.
Great reaction:)
Mystery by Dio.
Song bird !!!
"Rhiannon" (NY name) live on the Midnight Special ". AND " Don Kirchner's" Rock Concert..?🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗😍😍😍
Stay Safe😘😘😘
Keep Well,
Everyone........!
Amy Lee and Evanescence covered this and it is so good.
I did not know this! I love Amy! Ima go listen right now! Thanks!
I HIGHLY recommend you check out the absolute legendary duet with Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, called “Stop Dragging My Heart Around”. Stevie at her peak!!!
You have got to have your wife hear "Storms" from Tusk, or "Gold Dust Woman".
Or, "Beautiful Child", "Rhiannon"
Genius
You should understand that this entire "Rumours" album was about relationships breaking up. Stevie Nicks & Lindsey Buckingham had been together for years & now split (but still were part of Fleetwood Mac). As good as the song was...you MUST see them do it live to appreciate the emotions! ua-cam.com/video/dGykwC0fdJ4/v-deo.html
John McVie and Mick Fleetwood on the bass and drums are what makes this song. Buckingham’s guitar is pretty lit as well in the second half. The chain didn’t keep them together though.
Check out some early Fleetwood Mac with Green Manalishi With the Two Prong Crown. Totally different band, but still McVie and Fleetwood holding it all down.
This had their harmonies front and center. For Stevie led stuff, go for Dreams, Landslide, Rhianna, Gypsy.
For Lindsey Buckingham led songs, go for Monday Morning, Go Your Own Way, Second Hand News, Never Going Back Again, Big Love.
For Christy led songs go for Say You Love Me, Over My Head, You Make Loving Fun, Songbird.
It is the only song from the album with writing credits from all five members (Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, Christine McVie, John McVie, and Mick Fleetwood).
"The Chain" was created from combinations of several previously rejected materials, including solo work by Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, and Christine McVie. The song was assembled, often manually by splicing tapes with a razor blade, at the Record Plant in Sausalito, California, with engineers Ken Caillat and Richard Dashut. (From Wikipedia)
Think this was before music videos. Listen to “Never Going Back” same album as that. Great shit through the whole record. Classic
Dude...Their are so many songs like this one, better than this one. Why did you stop reacting to FW ? Big Love (Video), Sara , Love in Store, I'm so afraid, Black magic woman, hypnotized …First 2 Albums. Come on Man ? FW, Top best bands of all time... really !!!
Ye should check-out The Fleetwood Mac, Mk1, as in
Peter Greens Fleetwood Mac "Albatross"
and / or
Fleetwood Mac "Oh Well (Parts 1&2)"
Just an example of two of the Peter Green era 'UK Blues Revival Scene' !
Fleetwood Mac actually started out as Blues Revival Band in the UK in 1966.
Peter Green was one of the most Beautiful Playing Blues Guitars there has ever been...
✊
☘🇮🇪☘
.
Listen to 'Gold Dust Woman'. One of my favorites. Baby girl, go ahead and dance freely like James does🤗👍🏾👵🏿🎶❤! Trust this 65 year old, live being you.
Pssst.
(Promise not to tell anyone. )
(Fleetwood Mac used to sound TOTALLY different.
Then Mick discovered Buckingham Nicks after I did.
Keep it a secret I STILL have my BN album. Released one time, vinyl only)
One of those rare albums that every song is great.
Link to one for starters:

Can you please react to Paul McCartney and Wings. Live is great.
Band on the run

Hi Hi Hi
My love
Silver Springs.....!....
The "Stevie is PISSED OFF"! Version.
I like Lindsay Buckingham's guitar work with Fleetwood Mac. Though they aren't songs to start off with, put this in your youtube search bar
Fleetwood Mac - Big Love (Live: The Dance)
Fleetwood Mac played for Bill Clinton's presidential inauguration back in 1993. That was their first reunion since they split up in 1987. You should listen to the whole Fleetwood Mac "Rumors" album. This song is on there.
This was 1977, the term "official music video" was not a thing until the 90's although music "videos" have been around since the 1930's, in the sense that acts did promotional films, by the 60's bands like the Doors, Beatles, etc had song videos produced to promote the records and by 1981 MTV was born.
If you enjoy British blues checkout Fleetwood Mac's early albums. Under the leadership of Peter Green they were among the best. Green named the band Fleetwood Mac after Mick Fleetwood and John McVie because he didn't think he'd be with the band all that long (which he wasn't). The guys re-invented themselves as the band everyone now knows, but the Peter Green albums remain special to the history of British Blues and remain as engaging as anything by John Mayall (for whom both John McVie and Peter Green--replacing Eric Clapton--played) or Cream. And if you haven't listened to Cream yet... well, what can I say? Stop everything and cue up Sunshine of Your Love.
Watch the live version 20 years later (the Dance Tour official video). 'The Chain' and 'Silver Springs'. Unbelievable tension on that stage.
Love your channel and you having your wife's reaction. Please don't disrespect her by call her SHE.
Im referring to a Bee Gee video you said they were in the disco Era, they were but the Bee Gees started in the sixties, 1968. By the way I'm 61 years old and I can't stop watching you. You really get it man. I would really love if you played " THE RAIN SONG" by Zepplin. I really want to hear your feed back.
Hey! Love your reactions.... You never reacted to "Don't Stop" - this is one of Fleetwood Mac's greatest songs: ua-cam.com/video/QV9JJmSCiI8/v-deo.html
You guys don't know???? Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks had a HUGE breakup and this is one of their songs that they did about the break up. They are literally yelling eachother in music.
First time I heard the Chain it blew my mind, the bass drop that starts the second half is awesome........it was also used as the theme tune in the 1980s for Formula 1 Grand Prix racing (cars) on British TV......
Rhiannon, Gypsy, Little Lies, Tusk, Gold Dust Woman and if you wanna hear something from the early days that truly kicks ...Green Manalishi (with the two pronged crown) with Peter Green on vocals. It was a totally different feel to the band back then. He passed away last Summer.
Check out Big Love LIVE to see Lindsy Buckingham demonstrate master class of guitar picking.
There is an official live music video of 'The Chain' from 1997, but it would get blocked. That live album from '97 'The Dance' by Fleetwood Mac is one of the best live records in music! 🔥
You need to watch the video for Tusk with the USC marching band. It is probably the best version of that song EVER!!
As soon as that's played I'm looking for Murray Walker and James Hunt to introduce the BBC coverage of a Grand Prix from somewhere around the world !!
Rhiannon live 1976. She will understand how good the band is and why Stevie Nicks was the first woman to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice (w/Fleetwood Mac and solo).
This was only the second album with Stevie and Lindsay Buckingham (nain singer here and played all the guitars), but the band was 10 years old already.
