As a Brazilian and a big Senna fan, I simply thank you for this tribute...pitty cause so many talents and FIA in many of accidents is to be blamed due to lack of safety...simple things as piles of tyres, neck supporters etc, could have saved many of these brilliant heroes...

Lots of these images make me cry, because they look so happy. They never knew that they would die in such a horrible way.
    May they Rest In Peace.

Congratulation! It's a noble act to pay tribute to lost grand prix drivers. Why there is not Alberto Ascari in this wonderful video?

A lot of drivers I hadn't known of, that's good. You missed a very big one though: Jim Clark. Jim Clark often considered the best natural born driver ever, including by Fangio, and Senna. Jim was killed in a F2 race, true; but most known as a twice world champ F1 driver {visibly faster and smoother than any other 1960's driver) , (and very close 2 more years), Indy 500 winner, British Touring Car winner...

I was glad too that Mark Donohue was remembered. I just finished reading, and highly recommend his book "The Unfair Advantage." I'd known of his book many years, but hadn't read it. To get it my VT library interlibrary loan borrowed it from Ft. Smith Arkansas.

Jim Clark did in a Formula 2 race at Hockenheim. The info says it's a tribute to those F1 drivers who lost their lives in F1 cars. :-)

    • @carlcushmanhybels8159

It says it's a tribute to "GP Drivers who lost their lives...." Jim Clark was very much a GP driver. Some consider Jim Clark the best natural born driver ever, including Fangio and Senna.

Very poignant, but a shame not to see Jim Clark, Graham Hill, Jo Bonnier, Maurice Trintignant, Mike Spence, Mike Hawthorne ............ because they died in non-F1 races or off track.

Clark died in a F2 race. Your video says: "GP Drivers who...." Clark was very much a "GP Driver." 2 world championships, close 2 other years; had the highest win % of any driver in the dangerous years. Considered by many the best natural born race driver, including by Fangio, Stewart, and Senna.
