As someone who works at discount tire I can say every store sells over a hundred tires a day so it is very likely that those corsas were just sold. As far as the website goes that’s all on corporate and not the individual stores fault if the stock is incorrect on the website compared to in store. As far as the tires size goes. Neither one of those is a super common size so neither is a bad option. So absolutely the guy isn’t trying to scam you. He is a pretty bad scammer if he let you walk out the door saving you 40 bucks per tire. Glad everything got figured out

Hi magma. how can I get discount to give me 4 new tires if I took out the extra certificate when I bought them. I has a nail in it and another has a rip. tires are 3 years old only. Guy at discount said its probably the car fault with alignment or something else. I only took 1 tire over for them to look at. Tires are Pirelli 4 season. I appreciate any advice as new tires are really expensive thx

Discount tires has always treated me right. I always have used them, except for my Motorcycle tires.
They’re great folks. Just strange that the tires just sold. But I’m grateful to get the wider tires for the $87 price.
My biggest problem has always been getting places to honor manufacturers mileage warranty. I keep my vehicles well maintained by professionals but in every instance they always try to claim some type of negligence. Pressure too low or too high. Alignment or struts.
Discount tire is the only place I go for tires and for swapping them on and off the wheels for free, recently got a flat on my 95 s10 and they charged me 67$ in the end, this shop literally saved me hundreds. It’s nice to finally have a place that broke 18 year olds can get reliable tires without being over charged

@@ismokeguam1 the tire I got the flat with was not usable. I bought a tire from them for that price. Still have it on my truck and it hasn’t had any issues. Discount tire has helped me with a lot of stuff and half the time they don’t make me pay for it because of amazing customer service
Straight up. I had discount tires with a warranty on my old Subaru and no matter what they would replace them no questions asked. And I would just have to pay 40 to renew the warranty. Every other shop I've tried gives me a bunch of bs. "Oh it's a sidewall issue that's not covered under warranty" etc.
Seems like it's always something with tire shops. And I'm not even talking about the prices. I'll settle for a shop that knows how to: line up the little yellow and red circles, or start a lug nut by hand, or not vastly over-torque the lug nuts (my biggest beef). Torque wrenches or torque sticks are never used. The last 4 shops over-torqued by 3x. I'm even past the point of caring about grease/dirt on the interior - I just assume I'll need clean it when I get it home The last shop somehow found a way to get grease onto/into the face of the spokes (clear coated alum) which will not come clean.
In 30yrs (in my present area) I've not found one shop worth going to a 2nd time. Fortunately new shops open faster than I need new tires. I just wish every visit didn't feel like a roll of the dice.

Every time I go to Discount Tires or any other tire shop, the front desk guy always gives me the same bait and switch routine.... "I'm looking at my inventory and I don't have those tires in stock, but I do have similar brand in stock".
That happens when you have a common tire. It happens i simply ask to order them and they do. No mess no fuss

If they put you on hold when you call it says right there that if you book on line there is a certain percentage off. They are less expensive online, you book it online to save money. I think that’s what happened in your case with the prices.

I have gone to discount tire my entire life and they've never pulled anything like that on me. Now a days I just go online and book it and then go in and get it done.

Fresh date on tire might be old so they price it cheaper to move old stock out the doors.
Your saying it was a bate and switch, but you ended up with the more expensive tires for the price of the cheaper ones!?! And it sounds like there was very little hassle…
It’s sound like that salesman took very good care of a person just to earn their business. If slashing the price is Discount Tires idea of scamming people, then sign me up!!!

They did me right, no doubt. But, It was just his demeanor. It was like he was going to sell me the higher ones at a higher price. But he also had the option to give me a discount because I was fixing to walk away. Like it’s a gamble. There was a possibility that I could have said, yeah sure, put them on at the higher price. But I didn’t. I was fixing to leave when he gave me the discount. I really wished I would’ve videoed the whole thing. And then you could see what I was talking about by the way he was acting.
You should always get the road hazzard coverage from em guarantees you a tire if you have a blow out or damage one of your tires

I just paid $123 for the 265/60r18 but it was be the inflation because cheap tire are nonexistent on April 2024
I like my Discount Tires called America's Tires in Colton CA. always easier than Walmart and cheaper cleaner better service. They rotate for free and email u the tread thickness. Id do the dealer but their service is way slower. Im ready for my 2nd set on this 🚙 .

You got a more expensive tire at the original price that you came in for. Why would you discriminate the company and the deal you got. Walking away means nothing they just wanted to make their customer happy. I bought numerous sets of tires from discount tire and they have always done me right.

They bent my rim I had to pay to get it straight meanwhile they put my spare on that the mger admitted was no good after I had to go to Walmart the next day to buy 1 when I call headquarters to message the district mger no body ever called me back figure that out my luck

I used to work at DT. I was a technician and we always got screwed by the salesman too who trick customers and also make typo write ups and blame the technicians for not knowing what to work on or what car to bring in first. No communication. It's all a bad relationship haha

Sounds like you're looking for the V rubber tire special and you originally were looking up the wrong size and those tires suck unless you're selling the car to somebody you don't care about on the road and there's usually a 1899 web special added on for each tire.. and if you're buying four tires there's usually another $50 price difference on the interwebs and the call centers but the in-store price might be 129 a tire before.. balancing each tire for 20 bucks and tired disposal is different within each state and there's taxes including yes there's taxes everywhere..... if you have a pick up a bunch truck I would never pay less than 150 per tire because that means your vehicle is unsafe otherwise! I am not a Ken or Karen I'm just a fellow father on the road seeing lots of accidents because of cheap discounted people buying used tires versus buying new tires that are better for their vehicle less than $100 laugh out loud

You're too quick to say "scam". There's absolutely NOTHING scammy about that situation. The multi-billion dollar business could've let you walk and it would not have hurt them in the slightest but they came up with a solution to the issue and you call it a scam?
