Its going to be quite the day when he realises remote view has changed😂 I love the honest reaction though, this is exactly the type of video I was looking for.
The king of aesthetics! Let your inner efficiency demon roam free and unleash ungodly amounts of SPM, with modules and all, in an aesthetic manner, Bigfoot! You're the chosen one.
it has a little frustrating seeing him not getting the 50% productivity on the foundry witch (which makes nauvis processing super powerfull), but even after the release of the expansion this details arent explained directly on the game, i knew this bc i saw every friday facts
For anyone else watching this later, about the "is it worth doing foundries on Nauvis" part around 29:00 Yes it is worth it. Foundries as buildings themselves have an inherent 50% productivity bonus. Since the entire melt ore -> cast product process contains two steps that require foundries, without adding any modules (which make them even more powerful) you're inputting 50 copper ore, get out molten copper with a bonus of 50%, then cast that molten copper to copper plates, and get another bonus 50%.
Some corrections for those who wonder (only minor spoilers): * you cannot soft lock yourself on either of the intermediate planets. There is always a way out. No need for save scumming! (For vulcanus, the answer is rocks and lava) * in contrast to SE, it is better to use gun turrets than laser turrets * there have never been bots on space platforms. * the scrap recycling is something for somewhere else. You can still recycle anything and get either 25% of itself or 25% of its ingredients back. * Foundries have an inherent 50% prod and are very fast. So it is much much better than simple metal smelting on Nauvis. Also, it has 2 steps, so more room for productivity. * To my understanding, rockets become dirt cheap late game. This is due to several major production boosts on the planets and several infinite productivity researches. They are also already much cheaper than 1.1
@@theotherbigfoot i dont have early access, so I can’t say for sure this is correct. However, I’ve seen many posts from other playtesters claiming you can just drop on the three early planets and start from scratch. Some devs also confirmed that this is a design goal. If you are convinced this is not the case, maybe report it?
@@Erichteia Since I wrote that reply I've been thinking about how possible it is and I think you might be right. I think there is a way to scramble a base together starting from nothing. But it would be a really bad ride. You'd be building a little base (solely from materials you've gained by bashing rocks I might add) just to get lube so you can build a slightly bigger one which still probably won't be the final thing. If anyone actually does that instead of just reloading a save (the game autosaves right before you travel anywhere in space, this was actually my clue that there might be an issue there) then fair play because that's hours and hours of work which could be saved just by clicking 'load'.
@@theotherbigfoot Im considering it 😁. In general, I’m thinking to rush Vulcanus with chemical and only make a proper base on Vulcanus+Fulgora. The trigger tech for sulphuric acid processing is key to get lube I think?
It is and it is trivial. We just need to physically mine a thing and we get the sulfuric acid processing. Just up to chemical science, huh? I don't doubt your plan. I think I understand what you are trying to achieve. Not trivial though. Interesting.
I think vulcanus has some materials in breakable rocks in the starter area from wich you can craft an offshore pump and foundry, so you can start there without anything. Not saying that's a good idea but I like that you can start from nothing on the planets.
Regarding your rant about the weight of blue chips, given that the chips are all the same except for their colour but they weigh different amounts, the chip icon is clearly an abstract representation of general electronic circuit boards, and let me tell you, mainframe racks are _heavy._
im 2 episode behind, but i can't wait to see when he figure out, you can increase maximum rocket cargo, and add more than the basic weight on space ship XD
rocket part is a item that rocket silo that auto delete,if you modded the game and change that back to item and only assemble in rocket, then that rocket part item will not allow to put into rocket I guess it is just safty measure in case young modder break the vanilla game with it
The foundry has 50% productivity even without modules
the most entertaining part of this series is watching you discover and think about things and being surprised.

‘Maybe we can build a factory from scrap’. You really have no idea what’s waiting for you, do you? 😅
None at all, that's the fun

Yeah like others have said with the lava recipes the foundries give 50% productivity naturally so its pretty good
Just watched the first one and then the second came out, what a great timing
i like how the parts where you are playing are fast forwarded and then you speak to us while standing xD

Only point I have a problem with is the first one. We need lube to make a foundry and we need a foundry to process lava so without lube, you're stuck

Maybe you didn't catch it, but you can create multiple platforms in space. It means you have trains in space. :D
Yup, I'm on it.
Yeah, super expensive trains!!
35:07 this is not about chip's weight, its about volume of bubble wrapper you need to securely transport it up.

hahahaha thats i thinking right now and really make me laugh :D
this is awesome lol raw impressions.
I'm going to need more of these video's!
I can't figure out if that's excitement in your voice or frustration :))
Both. Definitely both.
Also, pretty sure you are supposed to be stranded first time you get to a new planet.

Awww no Gleba? LOL
how do you have access to space age , doesnt it come out
They gave early access to a number of content creators to build hype and such.
