Just checking out what the UED and the UPL have been up to while I've been slacking. LOT's of changes! The least of which is that the UPL has been renamed the APL. Check it out, cause this turned into an interesting game. Thanks to Tom Sawyer for busting out some creative strats in this one.
The lore behind the UPL is that it was essentially the UED in a sense, very newly formed, 100s of years before the events of sc1. You can see this in some of the protoss lore especially, I believe adun is there or something of the sort. I watched GGG's playthrough about halfway.
Yea, not really a fan of that interpretation of UPL lore in many ways, but it is based on that campaign, though a lot of of the techtree has undergone changes - and of course, there's the name thing (APL, aka the Atlantic Powers League), which was done in order to diffirintiate them from the UED.
And the UED is the successor to the UPL, only having succeeded it recently before the events of SC1. So it makes sense that the UED has more sci-fiey units compared to the UPL.
You need to add a (free) mod to your regular SC2 game. Try this tutorial here, which explains how to use a mod, but if you are after the UED or APL, instead of the "Scion Custom Races" mod, you want one called "ALL RACES PVP".
Ooooh so this was the newest version of UED. I usually play on Asian server so I did not know if this was true. Does anyone know what the version number for these mods are?
It's been a little while since I played UED and there's been some patches since then so I could be wrong, but in the past, strikefighter AA is complete garbage especially when compared to the UPL's pretty ridiculous and OP air units. Valkyries dealing splash damage is probably the only thing that could reliably deal with them and chase them down.
Your faintest memories will be superior to my attempt at hard core study. But to me, the barcoded player wasn't making anything but ospreys. Strike fighters can deal, and then be available to rain hell on the slow moving mech. Maybe APL transitions and it fails, but he sure looked committed.
Fair Nuff! I am sure we'll have you covered soon. The keiron are pretty unique looking and it sounds like the Xayid might be getting a makeover to be even more distinctive.
Question: Why do you always put female models for sc2 players who haven't shown themselves hahaha, I thought it funny cause with player tier lists they seem to use your model for maxpax when placing him XD
Really?? I didn't know that. It was a running gag long ago: whenever I couldn't find a player picture for a thumbnail, I would substitute an attractive model. But no matter how many times I explained it, I usually wound up disappointing somebody. Also, there was some internet speculation that MaxPax might be dealing with anxiety (totally unconfirmed, and admittedly not my business) but if true, it's possible he might not see the humor in it, so it may not have been the best move. Anyways, I thought it was fun and didn't mean to target MaxPax specifically. He's an awesome and interesting player and so he appeared in a lot of games I cast.

What mods hold the UED and APL custom races? Was looking to find them in the arcade, but I didn't manage to.
@@danfoote882 I think there are more than one, but one I know which has them both is a mod by Viceroid called "P v P All Races"

That's what it's called, thank you! Atlantic Powers League.
More like 250 before sc1, by the time first light happen, the supercarrier were just sent to the Koprolu sector not long ago

I think people should be making videos explaining all the units of the custom mods.

Bro you’re back!!!!!
'Good thing no one ever gets any financial advice on youtube,right... ? Right ...?' 😂😂
Awesome!
I’m sure the mods are good, but I simply am not interested in things that look like Terran

Oh hell, what is this?!
If TR-17s are Siege Tank equivalent, their damage and lack of AoE is laughably bad.
