But I must say, I always end up rooting for the vanilla races in these matchups. I don't really know why but they always seem come off as underdogs....
I agree with this comment and will add that the new races are overpowered. Until this gets fixed there will be NO REASON to make these official races to play in SC2.
@@Dimythios I think those matchups aren't explored enough to make such a comment, though tbh it seems that terran is favored in most of its matchups. At least in TvK and TvX. Protoss it's a bit harder and there are some things zerg really struggles with, but for the most part its more the fact that an opponent would lack knowledge of how to fight a custom race and keeps attacking into a custom race's strong points instead of abusing weaknesses.
The fact that terran did so well (and was still trading efficiently) even after such a terrible early game and strategical misplays is a testament to terran's strength.
@@Dimythios They will never be official races, Blizzard doesn't care and the races are super niche still.
I root for the OG a lot too! They've got the added difficulty of not knowing what they're up against a lot of the time.
@dimythios: But wouldn't you at least agree that the devs have made a lot of progress with the Scion races in terms of balance? I know you are a SC2 vet who has been around a while and seen Scion custom race games dating back to before the keiron even existed. I guess my bias is I keep seeing all the patches that come out and the playtest feedback. There's so much thought that goes into it. And the task of balancing six matchups instead of three is just crazy when you think about it.

He had some thing to work through, but he got there. My impression is from some other games I have watched of him now, is that his forte is that he's very macro oriented. He expands early and often.

T v K has been bringing some great matchups, I think it's one of the most interesting Scion metas right now.
Asur is a player from Russia so its not quite a korean vs korean match, even if it might be on the korean server haha. Love the cast zugz

In this fight, Unsieged Tanks seemed like an MVP tbh. sieged up they are too slow
Definitely up there! Personally, I'd give the award to the SCV's doing the fortress hug. Though if we subscribe to the theory that the winning player should take home the trophy, I'd award it to the auroras. Even if it wasn't always pretty, Terran never really climbed out of the harassment whole.
I was going to complain about terran recovery mechanics but those myriads have been dead weight most of the game
Yeah! Myriads are really causing problems right now, but you'd never know it from this game. Terran's mech is a good answer.
You asked why he pulled out the aegis, but it had already used its shield so it was going to die. Also something the keiron could have done better is using aperture (the transport of the keiron) to pull units back to the citadel when they have lost their shield to heal it back, but maybe its too micro intensive im not sure why we dont see it. Also could have used the heal shield unit (sorry forgot the name) with some stacked fuses then pulled the healer unit back instead when it shields deplete
If Terran has a ghost it will be a game changer. Putting a defensive fortress and a tank in those choke points would be advantageous. Ging turtle mech terran would be great using tanks, thors and viking.
How would Hellions do against those little buggers the Myriads spam out?
Good thought! I need to see that! With the blue flame upgrade they should be pretty good. But they would also die to the elytra equally fast. They would sort of counter each other. My guess is the 'resources lost' tab would fly up. Anybody tried this?

Fun fack tank mode tanks (or pun pun tanks i love that name) do more single target dps
So true! I looked it up. The damage is less but with the higher attack speed the DPS works out to be slightly higher (excluding the splash).
