What a brilliant solution! Having spent ages cutting curved pieces of newspaper, the taping them together, cutting a hole in an old bed sheet to mask the tyre behind the newspaper sections, tearing my hair out when my paper circle won’t stay tucked under the rim!!! Grrrrr!!! Letting the tyre down was also a brilliant idea, thank you so much!!!

A trick a lot of wheel repairers use is let the tyre down and slip playing cards in the gap. It works well but doesnt cover the complete tyre like this trick. Well done!

Nice and clever idea. But what with surface preparing, eg. sanding? The Paint won’t stick properly to old unprepared paint.
