It was my first time that ever happened as I just starting playing minecraft for the first time a little while ago. The villagers won't wander off and iron golems usually stay inside the fence. Light up the area inside the fence and mobs won't spawn either. If you find a villager with a really good trade, fence in their house so you always know where to find them.

Another thing about Ravangers!!! They can't hit you if you're underwater! That can also be used as a huge advantage against them, but of course only with a little preparation. ("Underwater" In this case means that there's a lake or something, not just a bucket of water, for clarification)

I was going to use my dogs but I sat them back down. I haven’t uploaded that video yet but will soon. It’s rather hilarious😂
Thanks! Also, unrelated, I had some ideas for how raids could be better, just to share ideas: -What if Milk didn’t get rid of Bad Omen. I know! That would make things harder! But it would also be more realistic. The Pillagers won’t stop hating you because you drank a pail of milk. It would also enforce voluntary exile: you’d want to stay away from a village for some in-game days. -There was different tier raids. If you kill a Pillager Captain in a patrol, that’s a tier one raid (normal). If you kill one in an outpost, that’s tier 2, which means that a couple extra enemies will appear regardless of the raid difficulty level. -Illusioners should be in Mansions. -If pillagers win, the next time a player steps out of sight of the village it changes. When they come back in sight, the illagers will be gone, and the village will be fully looted and on fire. All beds and villagers, chest items, crops, gone. Just ransacked and in flames, with Illager flags here and there. -Vinidcators can break doors like Zombies. Pillager arrows can eventually break windows after a few shots. And ravagers can break more solid blocks.
loved these tips. my only suggestion would be wolves... pretty easy to get a big a army of wolves early game and combined with a bow you can easilly take out all the waves without any troubles.
I wish I could have stumbled upon this amazing and informative video of yours a few months ago since I didn't know that you had to wait 40 minutes for a raid to respawn.
thanks for the video gives more new info about the Raid event 👏 when I do raids, I always using a lot of boats, it catches every Raid Mobs, yes Vex and Ravager too
First, the primary purpose of raids is the discount, not the totems. It's nice to get a couple of them initially, but beyond that, they just start accumulating. The discount is always useful, however, especially if you're not playing on hard mode, and can't reliably zombify your villagers for better trades without a raid. Second, the best way, by far, to defeat a raid is to do it in a village specially created for the purpose, which has a magma-block moat around it. All you need is a single villager with a bed to count as a village. The setup is pretty simple, though it takes a bit of time. Around your village, dig a trench that's about four blocks deep and four blocks wide. Fill that trench with water, and make sure all the water blocks are source blocks (planting kelp to the surface and breaking it is the easiest way to do that). Now put magma blocks on the entire bottom surface of the moat, save for a one-block ring on the outside. The latter allows you to swim up and get out, after going in to fetch the loot (remember to crouch when on the magma blocks). Make sure you hit a pillager at least once during the raid to make it count as a victory. Beyond that, you can literally just sit back and watch. They will all rush towards you and the villager(s), go into the moat, then burn to death at the bottom. Save the witches. They can live for a very long time down there, so you'll want to pick them off with a bow before they jump in, if you can. Otherwise, wait until they're the only ones left in the wave, then kill them with a ranged weapon or jump in to attack with a melee weapon (be prepared to deal with poison). If you want XP, you'll need to hit each pillager within 5 seconds of them dying. You'll want to do this with a bow or trident. The bubble column requires you to change your aim, however. While it sucks mobs downwards, it pushes projectiles upwards. So you need to aim at a point between you and the target. If you have a bow with Punch II, you can see when you've got the aim correct. Finally, getting Bad Omen V, for the best discount, can be tedious if you just sit around the fort waiting for a banner to spawn. But there's a workaround. Just leave the area - a few chunks away - and return. A whole new batch of pillagers will spawn en masse, likely with a banner. It's extremely easy and fast to do this if you have Elytra. Just fly away for a couple seconds, then fly back.
In all my 8 years of play, I never knew you could get a level 3 or 4 Bad Omen effect nor did I know you could heal golems. You learn something every day with Eyecraft.
Golems definitely help in solo raids, was doing a raid on hard mode and I had my village spread out heavily, they stayed near homes and would kill a occasion pillager or vindicator attacking a house
Oh oh. I didnt know about the bell spectral thing... I started a raid and I ended up looking for 20 minutes for 1 stupid pillager what fell in some waterpool and got stuck underground. I found him because after 20 minutes I just went into spectator mode and it took me 2 minutes to find. I was really annoyed but now I know to always bring a bell... :)
I recently had a raid in my start up village of a farmer, his crops, and animal pens. A few of the raiders (including a ravager, vindicator, and a few pillagers) got stuck in the animal pens, making it much easier to take them out. The only drawback was the vindicator turned my blue sheep red!
Wall up your village! A stone wall 2 blocks tall is enough to stop everything in a raid, ravagers included. Make sure you place it close to the buildings so the raid doesnt spawn inside. This way the illagers group up against the walls alowing golems to crush them and you to decimate them with a piercing or rocket crossbow.
Had a witch get itself trapped underwater at my island base once. Spent half an hour looking for them, only to just yeet a trident at them once. Gotta grab a bell for that place.
I wish I had watched this a day or two ago. Just had a defeat in the 7th wave of my 2-villager village. Another good option is to build a simple 'raid farm' and trick them into it. Also, walling off your village will help (my 2-villager village had like 10 houses and 3 or 4 buildings of the village was in a hole with a cave), mine was just too large to keep all the raids out.
Last night,a friend accidentally activated a raid...inside our base 🤣,it was chaotic but fun since it was our fist raid,so this video saved us from accidentally activating another raid since we had no idea milk removes the bad omen effect. Happy to say that we won the raid and saved Esclovian and Esclovania, our 2 frost~mending librarian russian refugees. (We are hispanics,so their names are a play on the word "esclavo/esclava" which mean slave)
This was a lot of great advice but what i came here for was info on how to physically protect a village. Is it not a good idea to build a wall was my thought? Can you actually lock the illagers out of the village or will they break in?
Wall with sweet berry bushes and watchtowers is what I do. Bushes keep ravagers from breaking down the wall, and I can shoot the pillagers from the watchtowers. Very few will spawn inside your village, and they are usually the base patrol type pillagers that golems can dispose of easily.
I've done the 7 stages of a raid with a bow with power 1 and normal arrows. You can even shoot vexes with arrows too. Elevation, breaking line of sight with evokes helps inbetween shots. 10 normal arrows to defeat a ravager....would love to see a raid video with the minimal equipment.... If near a coastline, a border around the water 1 extra block high is a great way of keeping them in the water. Easy pickings then.
İ think Bow and Swiftness Potions are better for figth these Mobs, because you can escape and shoot the mobs.İf you killed Vindicators and you want to get Totem of Undying, Shield and Armor Can be Usefull.
Remember: FOR PLAYERS In 1.21 You can kill pillager captains and they wll NOT give you the bad omen effect. they will drop an ominous bottle also found and used in trial chambers. (this means u can basically store raids)
a vex is probably the hardest mob to kill in the game including the with and ender dragon cause how small it is so its hard to hit and it does a ton of damage and it can go through walls so the only way to get away is with elytra
A fun way to win that I use is to breed a ton of wolves and place them in groups around village by making them sit. When it starts I "activate" them by making them stand up. When the rain starts to get serious with all the tougher mobs I usually go up into a little watchtower they'll make ahead of time and start shooting them with arrows whoever I attack the wolves will swarm like crazy and when I'm on the ground if I get attacked they'll do the same thing. This is particularly funny when the ravagers come out and I'm running towards you and they don't have a chance of getting at you. Best thing is it doesn't take much to set this up all you have to do is feed your dogs some meat to make them them breed as much as you like which is a whole lot cheaper than making a bunch of iron golems which are also able to be made ahead of time and ready to go by waiting to put the pumpkin on their head until they're needed that way you don't have to try to make them in the middle of a battle
This is a really helpful guide hank you, but also make sure you don't have your villagers in an underground area, because the fireworks will kill them all
What i do is i go to the highest point of the village make the door a iron door and when a ravenger comes i get in the house ladder up to the roof and shoot it and i also build up from the roof to scope out
Completed my first raid on hardcore because of these tips will say building a tower or a safe house is a must cus of the ravengers then the iron golems I was unknowingly on bad omen two so I had to deal with 7 waves I burnt through 5 iron golems but it was worth it as I have 3-4 totems now !
Another good method is using a golem because when your low you can just go to it so it will protect you, just bring a lot of iron ingots so you can heal it instantly
Thanks for taking the time to make great videos! Your chill voice is a welcome change from the over reacting super-pumped guys. I’m 50 and I guess I’m an old codger because I just can’t stand that type of delivery. Thanks again!
2 good strats worked for me at defeating lvl5 raids for both you need first hide every villager in a closed space without doors, a 90° L shaped hallway to a closed box will work. Instead of doors, dig 3 blocks down where you would place a door and put 3 carpets on top of each other. Mobs, including villagers and raiders, will see it as a hole and will avoid walking through it. now the strats 1: very easy, drop hella lot of boats across the village, many raiders will get stuck thus making them easy targets. 2: dig some larger holes around a small area, 3 blocks deep, put trapdoors across the edge and open them, you can put either lava or campfires down the holes. it makes killing ravahers and lots of vindicators easy with sweeping edge when they fall down one hole and group up.
My strategy? Breed a bunch of dogs( Around 50-100 is good, I tend to use about 200 cuz i'm bad), give the dogs potion effects, and let them distract the raiders. You will only need to focus on evokers, as they have an AOE attack
@@elpiedra1596 yeah, it is kinda ridiculous. 50-100 is a very lowball amount, it's around the bare minimum. More than 200 would sound pretty reasonable to me
I recommend use Diamond Pickaxe as silk touch, its easier to choose, *for normal work and for special things* Because You wont use diamond one, it gets faster
@@minermom well, I put the powdered snow about 0-5 blocks out one block deep around my base or a village and what happens is the whole raid party sinks into the snow and start taking damage and get stuck. A wall of min 3 block high above the powdered snow should prevent any raid member from getting past. It takes some time to acquire the powdered snow with buckets, but you can place it 2 blocks above a cauldron and when it rains the cauldron fills up with powdered snow and can be extracted with a bucket to multiply. Don't forget the leather boots so you don't sink in and take damage. The snowy minefield needs some replacement every now and then. Most of the time it's just sit and wait for the raid to be victorious 😊
Just build a 2 block high wall around the village and most can't reach you. Then design a main gate with overlapping fields of fire for your soldier mods. After that it's only the vexes that threaten me. Especially because my reflexes are so below average.
You know it's a good Monday when your favorite content creator makes a fire upload

-What if Milk didn’t get rid of Bad Omen.
Lmao i can just imagine
“OH SHIT”
“SIR HE DRANK MILK”
“QUIT THE MISSION HE DRANK MILK”
loved these tips. my only suggestion would be wolves... pretty easy to get a big a army of wolves early game and combined with a bow you can easilly take out all the waves without any troubles.
I wish I could have stumbled upon this amazing and informative video of yours a few months ago since I didn't know that you had to wait 40 minutes for a raid to respawn.
Awesome Video Eye! I wish bedrock had the spectral affect from the bell its so useful!
That would be cool!
I like how he is so calm while doing a raid
thanks for the video gives more new info about the Raid event 👏 when I do raids, I always using a lot of boats, it catches every Raid Mobs, yes Vex and Ravager too
new funny meme unlocked: ravager in a *b o a t*
I resisted for awhile, but I finally caved and built a raid farm recently. Most frustrating project ever but I don't regret it.
8:16 nah that golem have some different plans😂
Your videos always calm me down when I’m stressed
Thank you for the moat idea, I'll try this out
I always place boats on the ground around the village and I am on a house roof shooting with bow. They ran just always in. Boats are just too op
In all my 8 years of play, I never knew you could get a level 3 or 4 Bad Omen effect nor did I know you could heal golems. You learn something every day with Eyecraft.
Healing golems is only a java feature btw
@@Duxy69 no it works on bedrock
Golems definitely help in solo raids, was doing a raid on hard mode and I had my village spread out heavily, they stayed near homes and would kill a occasion pillager or vindicator attacking a house
The boat thing is great! i'll surely use it, thanks . Didn't know milk cured bad omen effect! good video
thanks man you helped me defeat my first ever raid :) it felt so good to complete
Dude that village is so crazy. Literally have a nether ruin smack dab in the middle, AND a Pillager outpost in the distance. Lmfao like WHAT
If you can plan ahead I always build a wall around the village it works like a charm
Winning a raid makes you feel like you are the most badass person ever
Best minecraft youtuber. Love your vids keep up the good work
Thank you! I definitely will :)
Get lots of wood, craft lots of trapdoors, make trapdoor "fences". It will trap those raiders good.
4:08 your insane if you bring villagers to the end
I wish I had watched this a day or two ago. Just had a defeat in the 7th wave of my 2-villager village. Another good option is to build a simple 'raid farm' and trick them into it. Also, walling off your village will help (my 2-villager village had like 10 houses and 3 or 4 buildings of the village was in a hole with a cave), mine was just too large to keep all the raids out.
This was VERY helpful like VERY
I'm so glad!
Appreciate the effort of explaining the raid while literally fighting the raid💀
Just to have a second life
Its a voice over not explaining while playing
Last night,a friend accidentally activated a raid...inside our base 🤣,it was chaotic but fun since it was our fist raid,so this video saved us from accidentally activating another raid since we had no idea milk removes the bad omen effect.
Happy to say that we won the raid and saved Esclovian and Esclovania, our 2 frost~mending librarian russian refugees.
(We are hispanics,so their names are a play on the word "esclavo/esclava" which mean slave)
Mira vos
I’ve done this before and it was so fun! The video is actually helpful! Thank you for uploading! (:
Me with iron armour and 15 arrows watching a guy in full netherite with 2 stacks of spectral arrows:
This was a lot of great advice but what i came here for was info on how to physically protect a village. Is it not a good idea to build a wall was my thought? Can you actually lock the illagers out of the village or will they break in?
They can literally spawn inside your village or even in villager house
Wall with sweet berry bushes and watchtowers is what I do.
Bushes keep ravagers from breaking down the wall, and I can shoot the pillagers from the watchtowers.
Very few will spawn inside your village, and they are usually the base patrol type pillagers that golems can dispose of easily.
Man these pillagers really like bullying the villagers every time they raid a village .
I would suggest that you eliminate the ravager first then the the rider that was on top 11:40
Youre so underated whenever i need a tutorial of something i just search you
You forgot two more things and that's if you want a village as your base/small kingdom. Build a wall and a ditch to slow the enemy down
İ think Bow and Swiftness Potions are better for figth these Mobs, because you can escape and shoot the mobs.İf you killed Vindicators and you want to get Totem of Undying, Shield and Armor Can be Usefull.
Swiftness potions are definitely a good way to fight raids
@@Eyecraftmc Thank you!
Use a flamefinity (flame + infinity) bow that shit is op
Remember: FOR PLAYERS In 1.21 You can kill pillager captains and they wll NOT give you the bad omen effect. they will drop an ominous bottle also found and used in trial chambers. (this means u can basically store raids)
You Accidentally hit an Iron Golem 8:15
a vex is probably the hardest mob to kill in the game including the with and ender dragon cause how small it is so its hard to hit and it does a ton of damage and it can go through walls so the only way to get away is with elytra
@why Cheats on: *General Kenobi*
I subbed to ur channel, really enjoy the content keep it up !!
I lost my hardcore world because of these little ghost, that the magician pillager spawns, now I'm trynna learn how to fight the bastards for revenge
With an OP loadout like this you don't even need to try
thank youu, i just started my minecraft world with my friend AND SHE KILLED A PILLAGER ON ACCIDENT and im about to log on and help defeat them
Op guidelines for Minecraft on this video 👍👍👍👍
This is a really helpful guide hank you, but also make sure you don't have your villagers in an underground area, because the fireworks will kill them all
Ah yes, the villagers commited un living
How did that even happen? Lmao
The intro shows Witches helping him, but he kills the witches lol
Very good guide! I've been wondering about the raid and will be doing one soon!!
2 good strats worked for me at defeating lvl5 raids
for both you need first hide every villager in a closed space without doors, a 90° L shaped hallway to a closed box will work. Instead of doors, dig 3 blocks down where you would place a door and put 3 carpets on top of each other. Mobs, including villagers and raiders, will see it as a hole and will avoid walking through it.
now the strats
1: very easy, drop hella lot of boats across the village, many raiders will get stuck thus making them easy targets.
2: dig some larger holes around a small area, 3 blocks deep, put trapdoors across the edge and open them,
you can put either lava or campfires down the holes. it makes killing ravahers and lots of vindicators easy with sweeping edge when they fall down one hole and group up.
I never knew about the bell effect, that is soooooo helpful
Most of my villagers died from the raid but even more died when I won as they shot up fireworks at the roof killing themselves bruh
I won a raid because of you 😊
Nice!
My strategy? Breed a bunch of dogs( Around 50-100 is good, I tend to use about 200 cuz i'm bad), give the dogs potion effects, and let them distract the raiders. You will only need to focus on evokers, as they have an AOE attack
Get good man. 50 -100 dogs is ridiculous.
@@elpiedra1596 yeah, it is kinda ridiculous. 50-100 is a very lowball amount, it's around the bare minimum.
More than 200 would sound pretty reasonable to me
Thank you for this guide, made my life easier :) .
Thank you for useful information ❤️❤️
Nice asmr voice, and incredibly clear informative video, thx
I recommend use Diamond Pickaxe as silk touch, its easier to choose, *for normal work and for special things*
Because You wont use diamond one, it gets faster
Thanks for the info, good job!
I use powdered snow around my base to kill off most of the raiders, really easy.
How does that work? Explain please 🙂
