One great tip you forgot to mention is to bring a bell to a woodland mansion. Ringing it will give all the evokers and vindicators the glowing effect, meaning you can see them through walls!
Fun fact: The pattern on the mansion walls can hint if there is a room behind it, whether it is hidden or not. The mansion outside wall pattern has 4 logs around a single plank, however a pattern for a room area has an 8 log pattern on the mansion wall.
Weirdest spawn I've ever had was right after the update. Found bees at spawn, a flower biome wrapped around a village basically running up the side of a mountain, a small mountain next to that with that new snow you sink into, a pillager outpost, Multiple huge ravines, and I accidentally found the warden's domain getting iron from underwater. All within 150 blocks from spawn.
1275397490801921149 But there may have been a patch after I made the world. Also I found a zombie spawner under a house in the village I forgot to mention.
You should also bring some boats to trap vindicators in them. Since allays spawn not only in mansions, but in outposts as well, and soon we will be able to duplicate allays anyway, the mansion is basically obsolete now. One of the few reasons to raid a mansion left is to just claim it as your personal residence. Which is still kinda cool.
@@KeelDudeRad locate a pillager outpost, clear some flat space nearby, build a simplest raid farm and you will be set with totems for life. I have one in my off-hand at all times, a full shulker box worth in my ender chest, a full double chest at the base, and almost two double chests at the farm itself as bulk. And I don't even need that many, since I'm in regular survival, not in hardcore.
not so obsolete. just because pillager outposts exist it doesn't mean every player will have one near their base, so in the case that happens to you you still have the chance of having a woodland mansion near your base
For my hardcore world I used this seed where you spawn on top of a woodland mansion in the middle of an ocean. I made my base there and planned a nice ocean base afterwards with the idea of disassembling the mansion completely. Bad part, there were 4 Evokers and a bunch of Vindicators stuck in the top stairs room beneath. I had a really hard time defeating them because they kept spawning in Vexes. I had to try several times and got killed every time. I cheated a bit by loading a backup of the world because it really started to annoy me to start over every time. In the end I rigged a TNT setup to blow up the wall and had them all group together blasting them with the rocket launcher Eyecraft explained so well. Now I'm stuck again, but with building my sub nautic base. I need some inspiration. But man this guy saved my ass!
A tip for raiding woodland mansions (which would have been useful in your 100k live stream) is to mine the existing carpet to make double carpet barriers in the hallway, which you can easily jump over but most mobs that are chasing you cannot jump over.
Gotta say man. I can't stop binging your videos. I played this game until 1.8 and after that I dropped it. Came back now and got no clue of all these new things. These videos are very informative and useful. To the point, no time wasted but covering everything about each topic.
You definitely know your way around a mansion. So much secret stuff! I found a mansion only once, took a long look, said nope & kept going. If I find another I will give it a try, thanks to this video. You are right that it would make an awesome base. And congrats on finally hitting 100K!! Hugely useful tip for fellow pyromaniacs; in case you think you've missed a chest, use your trusty flint and steel to burn the whole place down. Chests don't burn 😇

Your timing is incredible lol! I've been exploring mansions quite a bit in different worlds trying to see more how they work and if I can convert them into bases! Lots of them come with basic farm setups so I've been testing out converting some rooms to more automatic farms and can confirm that all NON-SECRET and non hallway rooms will have a generate as 7x7, 7x15, or 15 x15 floor space! You say there's 50 types of rooms and I believe it I've never seen the sapling room before today and as I said, I've spent a lot of time in these lately lol!
Great guide eyecraft ! Your videos are so helpful. I started minecraft a week ago and without your help I really couldn't have survived . You have a subscriber 👍

Got to say, I did actually once take over a mansion and use it as my own shelter. I converted two of the mini libraries into enchantment and potion rooms, two that had rails and ladders became the kitchen and furnace, I destroyed the fake wool beds and replaced them with real ones, put chests everywhere, and even used scaffolding as an elevator system. The only problem is that the mansion is so big that it's time consuming to reach one room to another (The scaffolding elevators sped things up, but not that much). And for humor, when I released the Allays, I trapped the Vindicators and Ewokers in there. (Though I did cheat and switch to creative a bit).
Back when I played Minecraft Wii U Edition, I recall that Woodland Mansions were quite common. This considering how worlds in this edition were finite. I can even remember that some worlds, though limited in space, contained two mansions, and that there were even some Mansion variants, which actually were rare. For example, some mansions would spawn cut in half in the middle of the world. I will also consider that jungles were also a lot more common than before.
Well, I nearly always start at the upper floor. I make my base on the roof of the middle floor, if possible with a quad 4-level beacon. To enter the upper floor I look for a convenient entrance through the windows. From there I work downward. To discover the hidden rooms I walk in straight lines at the end of the raid, so every 'block' of the mansion (generally 8x8) I will enter and if there is a hidden room I will find it. Arrows with poison are very usefull to kill creepers and vindicators. If a creeper explodes it even gives a lingering potion of poison.
Had one of these right behind a village I turned to base. Had no idea till I looked up my seed and saw it on there but I was really looking for how to kill and evoker but thanks for the tips on the secret room I had no idea
I actually have a more stealthy tactic of raiding a woodland mansion so to start i suggest bringing diamond armor, a diamond sword, a bed, an elytra, some fireworks a power 5 flame 2 bow. Now first place your bed outside of the mansion on a nearby tree and set your spawn now check each window on a floor and if you see a vindicator break a single glass pain to lure it to you then kill it with your diamond sword but if you see an evoker break a glass pane without being in its sight then move a certain distance away from the window so the evoker cant see you then fully charge your bow and shoot it theres a chance the evoker will die instantly allowing you to grab its totem but if it survives the shot it will summon vexes that will go to the location you attacked from if this happens get away from your attack location and run if you hear or see any vexes near you and wait for the vexes to die the evoker will die from the flame damage if it survives the bow shot now after the vexes are dead grab the totem also other evokers will try to attack you if the evoker survives the bow shot also if there arent any vexes attacking you the nearby vindicators will be trying to kill you but they wont be able to reach because a window is in this way so you can use this as an opportunity to kill some of the vindicators on that floor now once both window floors are dead carefully enter the bottom floor and try to attack any vindicators and evokers from a distance listening to their audio cues with help you strike first so this is my guide on my more stealthy mansion raiding tactic
I was once mining away at the roof for some dark oak wood and found a secret roof chamber. It was just a small 2 block tall room with two chests and some pretty good loot
I always burn the mansion right off the bat. A lot of the time you loose the totems, but I would rather have a shield over a totem anyway. Burning the mansion allows you to not have to fight through it and you can get all the rooms easily without missing any secret ones or regular ones that were overlooked.

Honestly the best uses for woodland mansions after you grab the totem of undying is making it a base. It's fun to customize the giant rooms and halls
you can also expand the woodland mansion map on a cartography table with some paper and might make finding it somewhat easier
You should also bring some boats to trap vindicators in them.

3 to 6 evokers and hence 3 to 6 tokens of undying is pretty cool.
