    Also note at the Mill Ruins parking site there is a launching cradle and floating dock, which just makes everything easier for bringing along the kidlets.

      Yes 👌🏽 You can see it at minute 6:24. Mill Ruins is the best launch spot but it fill up the fastest. The conservation does bring in the dock after every season too.

      Thanks so much! I actually started my blog because it was difficult to find information on paddling spots and other paddle related things.
      Rockwood is pretty unique for that area and a friendly spot to explore for the entire family!
      Any specific spots you'd want to know more about?

      @@PaddleAdventurer Any spots u go to in Ontario r good for me to know about cuz once I actually can start to stand comfortably and with confidence on my board I can make plans to visit some of these places. Should I hear of a certain place I’ll definitely let u know, and if u decide to explore it I know we’ll b getting an awesome video about it👍🏼

    Hi Marybeth, thank you!! How deep is the water cause I can’t swim very well and I’m scared of falling in

    • @PaddleAdventurer
      @PaddleAdventurer  Місяць тому

      Thanks for watching and for the comment. Most sections of the water at Rockwood Conservation Area are deep enough you need to be able to swim. I'd encourage you to always wear a PFD or lifejacket, wear a leash and practice getting back on your board. Check out this video. ua-cam.com/video/KLzWnols0GA/v-deo.htmlsi=SlLKUBaMaRkoDw-o
      If you don't feel comfortable or confident, Rockwood has loads of great hiking trails too.
      Hope this helps!

    Thank you for the info! Are the islands accessible?

    • @PaddleAdventurer
      @PaddleAdventurer  Рік тому

      Thanks for watching. I'm glad you found it helpful. Great question! There are only a few islands but there are definitely spots you can pull up to from the water and get on land. You can see what I'm talking about here ua-cam.com/video/o2i1M3GVPRg/v-deo.html

    Suerte de vivir en Canadá hay muchos sitios donde ir aquí en España está todo más limitado para empezar en embalses no se puede por que hay una plaga de un mejillón y si te pillan te sancionan me encantan tus vídeos un saludo 👋

      ¡Gracias! Muchos lugares fantásticos en Canadá y hermosos lagos de agua dulce.
      ¡Los mejillones tampoco son buenos para los botes de remos!
      ¿Remas principalmente en la costa de España?
