We fitted the trip machine grips to my sons motorbike, they look and feel brilliant. The screen really does finish off the front end . Might look into getting one . Very well explained how to mod your interceptor episode, thanks 😀👍
I added mirror mount extensions so now I can actually see traffic behind me. Fork adjustable preload caps. Dialled in front suspension nicely. Tapered washers to straighten out left footpeg out to 90 degrees. You have added some nice mods though. Fly screen great, I went tall. Stedi do a nive LED H4 replacement globe too so I can actually see at night. I have same clock too.
Nice video well done, however the only mods I personally would go along with are the dial protectors and the clock/watch which I have and find very useful on trips. Most mods are for looks or personal preference, not always sensible.. but it's not my money so whatever floats your boat. For me the mod which stands way way above anything else is the YSS suspension upgrade.. massive improvement!
Maybe a yellow H4 bulb for the lamp could be a thing? Give it even more retro feel in the front. You probably don't ride much after dark, more in the rain and fog since Britain. Maybe even the black mesh you can get for the headlamp.
I went for the Motone tank pads as they thicker than Trip Machine one's. I also got the Trip Machine Suede seat but probably not the best idea in UK unless with vinyl cover. Also got me a Trip Machine Messenger bag & love it but only got one for right hand side as left hand side has grab lever that's in way but bag still mounts but sticks out further. I got Grip puppies as they slightly thinner that Trip Machine grips.
I have the blue one too.First thing I canged was a Stinger 2 into 1 , thenthe bloody awful foot rests / pedals then the bars for the Renthal, passenger rail off, centre stand off , total 28 klgs less, now it´s wonderful . got the clock too,
I'd like to +1 this comment regarding the basic chain adjustment video! Your maintenance videos are the best I've seen on UA-cam and I'm struggling to find a decent video on the subject for the Interceptor.
Great vid. Really like the grip wrap option. I fitted grip puppies to my Interceptor but cut them off after a few days due to being to thick which led to bad cramp. I agree the brown goes with the ventura blue but not sure they would suit my canyon red but I do like this option. You've added some nice extras! Ride safe guys.
Just picked up your vids from collecting the Inteceptor. So many people can't be wrong! My days riding (and driving) are over unfortunately (illness), last bike was a '99 600 Fazer, bought new (silver, decals removed, I loved it), but the Interceptor would be the one if I was going to go for it again. I'd definitely set about liberating some more power - intake, exhausts, piggy-back ECU mod (a win in every way as far as I can see - sounds better and the remap richens it up so it runs cooler), maybe even a 750 kit (not the 865, that's got to rob it of the smoothness people talk about). One thing bro, I always went into neutral waiting at lights for more than a few seconds, saves wear'n'tear on the clutch mech.
Good mods! I went for Grip puppies on the hand grips. The Dart bikini flyscreen is oh-so-much easier to install. I can recommend Hitchcock's Enfield stainless steel silencers also.
Did numerous mods, probably too many. Heated grips, engine bars and a touring seat. Performance air filter sounded great, also fitted booster plug but did nothing for performance. Motone tank pads and bar risers, charging fly lead. Sadly couldn't get on with pegs so part ex'd for my NC750X. Hope you both enjoy your new bikes.
I got the clock last week off ebay but a back one. Also going get black bars at some point. Are you thinking about changing the exhaust? As iv bought the tec bike big bore headers and cans for my E5 22 plate interceptor and with the S&S air filter it sounds awsome and feels lighter
Nice choices. My first mod was to sack the stock seat and get RE's premium saddle. Much better. DNA air Filter was next, which seems to make throttle response a little smoother and definitely adds another note or two to the engine sound. Currently looking at Hitchcocks low pipes, classic look and a bit more pannier space.
Ye - nice stuff, BUT - if u've already disassembled all the lights, why didn't you replace the bulbs with LEDs ❓❓🤔🤔 - 4 the blinkers, it's either a resistors, or replacing the blink relay ( well - you know...)
