  • HEYYYY COUSINS! If you know the reason why my name is "Hair Mary"... comment "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TUPAC!" in the comment section! Today is his day!
    #WashnGo #HolyGrail #CurlyGirlMethod
    Products Used:
Shampoo: The Mane Choice Easy on the Curls
Deep Conditioner: Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Masque
Leave-in: Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Style MILK
    Styler: EcoStyler Gel Olive Oil
Oil Used To Break Gel Cast: Shea Moisture Professionals Vibrant Color Clear Shine Glaze
Oil Used on Scalp: The Mane Choice Growth Oil
** THIS METHOD IS CURLY GIRL METHOD FRIENDLY!
    Dry Times:
I deep conditioned for 30 minutes under my hooded dryer (I don't know the brand, it's old lol) - using heat for your deep condition treatment is ideal for low porosity hair.
After styling I air dried for about 2 hours (I usually don't do this but I had errands to run) and then sat under a hooded dryer for 1-1:30 minutes.
I used my Revlon blow dryer to dry my roots: 10-15mins on Warm Heat/High Speed. I finished with a cold shot.
I restyle my hair every Monday and Thursday.

girl.. when I thought about it, I'm like... my hair gets just as dirty is not MORE than my scalp. All those products on my hair and I'm not shampooing? I couldn't do it lol

Thank you!!!! It just doesn't make sense to not shampoo my actual hair lol. As much product as I use, just letting the water & shampoo run down ain't doing nothing but loosening the dirt, if that.

I never comment on anyone's page but I had to on this video because for the FIRST time, this routine worked on my hair and the only product I changed was the hair milk. This was my first time trying it and I am overjoyed. When I was washing my hair last night in my mind I was wondering when would I have time to wash it out if it didn't work. I don't have to worry about it now....thank you so much for your step-by-step routine.

OMG! I have been fighting and pleading and crying even trying to bribe my hair to please work with me when I try wash and goes. I saw the video on what I could be doing wrong and then I saw this one. Praise God won't he do it?! I finally have a decent wash and go. I have to put my hair in about 12 sections and then do subsections out of those. Then I saw you finger curl the strains that don't really curl well, so I tried it and it worked. My hair even has movement! Thank You!

    • @meishadevon4577

I like the crunch because of that reactivation. as well but if you don’t like it or if you want to try something new. Or you haven’t gotten past eco-styler leaving us. As I Am has a gel that doesn’t crunch and you can also re-activate it and it stays in my 4b 4c hair for a good 3 days

Thank you for this video. I wash from the roots down to the ends too! I'm new to the natural hair journey and have found that all the products that are suggested for a "defined," and soft result means washing the hair thoroughly of all the build-up from using so many different products. Good job keeping it real! Ms. ECstreet :)

I'm also a low porosity girl. The use of milk instead of traditional leave-ins is news to me. I'm definitely going to give it a go. So that's so much for the heads up. Also, thank you for the information you gave in a previous video about the 5 indicators of low porosity hair. You're the first influencer that I've come across that spoke about lack of elasticity being an indicator. You've literally saved me so much worry and concern because I just couldn't understand what the heck was up with my hair! Now... now I get it. You're a 🌟. Much love ❤

After I deep condition I hop in the shower and apply my leave in conditioner too. The hot water opens up the cuticles so the conditioner can actually penetrate the hair. My routine is similar to yours. I love your results 🙂.

    Hi cuzzin 👋🏽
I'm a low porosity gal too. So for me the heavier creams and such don't penetrate my hair and that equals build up and dry hair. But let no product go to waste. DIY leave in....I add those moisturizers to a spray bottle, dilute them with water and saturate my hair with it in the shower. I see the difference and feel it. It's been working and it's a great starting point before applying my gel. Loved the video and have a blessed day.

you answered a lot of questions that I had. I have short 3C low porosity hair. I did the big chop 6 years ago (I actually shaved my head). My hair is about 7 inches long now and I have struggled with a lot of breakage (not trimming quick enough). My hair is now even and healthy and I was looking for a good wash n go regimen. Most of the products you use, I have tried and they worked for me too. I wash twice per week too, it just works for me. I will keep working on the wash,n go technique, "shingling" and see how it turns out. Thanks! Very Helpful.

I'm Spanish and white. And can I say I love your hair, I love watching the process you go through so many steps but African American hair is so beautiful. I always want to learn more about it.

Shannon dobbs It still doesn’t mean she is black. Whether or not she used her mixed terminology correctly or not doesn’t mean she is black.

I love your videos girl. I have been rocking my naturals coils and curls for about two weeks and still am not happy with my wash n go. I have some heat damage in the from I'm trying to manage. I've watched a lot of videos and your are very informative and fun to watch. Loved the one on low porosity hair. I'm gonna try your wash and go method. Thanks for all the tips.

Hey Cousin!! I've always used Shea Moisture's styling milk for my braid-outs and twist-outs, but never thought to use it as a leave-in conditioner. I too, have low porosity hair. I will have to pick up a bottle and try it as a leave in for my wash n go.
