Overall, these products are best for those new to skincare, with no serious concerns, and slightly oily. None of the key ingredients are particularly high performing... but they are nice. A solid, basic routine. OK for sensitive skin, as long as there is no fragrance sensitivity or allergy.

To finish her sentence, darker skin has an SPF of about 13 which means you filter more sun but only about 90%, when you wear an spf of 30 you increase that to about 96-97% which slows down the aging process and lessens your risk for hyperpigmentation

RaeRasta21 after SPF 50 the protection form the sun doesn’t change. So SPF 100 gives basically the same protection as SPF 50

I’ll be a little honest, I thought Rihanna was going to launch it without fragrance and that would be a huge ‘marketing point’ (I don’t know what to call it)
A lot of the aestheticians I follow has exclaimed they hate fragrance and dyes so at the moment it’s a game of ‘Their results and reviews seem great’ and ‘I can tell they wouldn’t recommend it if it wasn’t by Fenty Skin but that’s how promos work???’
@@rasianbray3977 or a mineral, fragrance free, oilfree tinted sunscreen for dark and extra dark skin tones...that's would be innovative and groundbreaking...the fragrance, basic ingredients...sadly It feels like a money grab to me...I remember the fenty beauty launch with 40 shades of foundation as their first launch, that was amazing and made a mark in the community...I was rooting for her but this is a pass

What I also don’t understand is how Rihanna has said her skin is super sensitive but she proceeds to put fragrance in all of the products and even has fragrance in the Pro Filtr range
Celeste Citrine Me too tbh. People are saying that this isn’t a money grab because she’s worked on it for 2 years but...wouldn’t she have done enough research to know fragrance and witch hazel are both bad?
If she does expand her sunscreen range and created a mineral tinted sunscreen with the same range as Fenty Beauty, she truly will hit the jackpot. Maybe even a weak chemical exfoliant or an effective lip mask. Fingers cross for the future I guess but I won’t be purchasing for now

I'm not interested in anything. The ingredients don't wow me. I have so much skincare that I don't need any of these products. Spf 30 is okay but o prefer 50. The packaging is very cute though.

This seems like something I’d use while traveling. Because everything is a 2-in-1 situation id never feel like my skin routine would be complete if I used this collection on the daily. But for traveling I think these 3 products would give me ample space in my suitcase and get the skin job done for 3-5 days. Lol thanks for the review!

I love Witch Hazel so I'll be getting that Fat Water. Niacinimide is also a huge plus for me. I think I'll get the cleanser as well. Thanks for this review. I have oily skin so this is going to be a good one for me.
I'll say this, although the video cut off I was spot on about my thoughts. Between you and James Welsh, y'all gave detailed reviews with pros and cons. My dry skin definitely wouldn't like this. And I was the same with her matte makeup in the beginning but now I enjoy her gloss 😍. She probably does have oily skin 🤣

As someone with oily skin, I found it so interesting to hear that people with dry skin look for toners that moisturize them. I've always liked toners that helped to control the oil without drying the skin and then focused the moisturizing part on my actual moisturizer. It's cool getting a new perspective since I don't typically watch videos of people with dry skin as I can't really relate to that. The fat water sounds right up my alley and I love how much product you seem to get with it.
Okay Getting Fat Water. CeraVe does me just fine and yes, I prefer separate mineral sunscreen SPF 50!
Same! I use blackgirlsunscreen! Having a separate moisturizer and spf is key to me🤞🏾

Beauty by MJ non-chemical ones always leave me ashy, which do you use?
@@Zara-ks9rz That would be a mineral one doing that. The chemical ones dont produce a cast because they penetrate the skin, rather than sit on top like minerals do. That is also the reason I dont use them, they can be irritating and tend to be heavier in formulation. I use Purito Comfy Water SPF 50. Its a mineral sunscreen available on Amazon $15. Its the best sunscreen I’ve ever used.

I’m loving the products so far. I have textures skin, so it’s really helping to smooth it out. I also have discoloration gin my forehead due to eczema and I haven’t had any bad reactions or itchiness while using these products.

Thank you as always for your review!! Will definitely continue to use my hydrating toners. FYI: I have super oily skin and after watching your video on toners, I donated my witch hazel to my cousin who swears by it and got some rose water and mushroom toner that’s super hydrating. My oil is more controlled than ever!! I have found that anything that claims to “reduce” oil production creates rebound oil production by the end of the day. While it may work immediately after application and some hours throughout the day, towards the middle or end of day my face would become mad shiny! Using your tips, my face produces a steady amount throughout the day that isn’t over powering and keeps my face looking clear and supple. Im a huge fan and an RN, so your method of educating your viewers speaks to the rhythm of my heart! 💕💕

@@chenesec6513 So it's been over a week and so far, so good 👍🏾 My skin feels hydrated after applying, only a small amount is needed (it can feel slightly sticky if you use a lot), it has more of a matte finish which is great for my oily self lol, and I haven't broken out. I've been seeing a slight improvement in the suppleness of my skin too.

i can''t remember what video (edit: the body care video) but she was asked this before and said she doesn't like that they are all "kitchen" "shea butter" products. weird mischaracterization for a professional to make on black brands but hopefully you naming some products will help her understand that not all black brands are the same! Although, many commenters did name some black brands for her to look at, and that was a year ago and no follow up sooooo.... yeah lol. don't think it's coming.

My skin is sensitive. Everything bothers my skin. Clinique is pretty much all I was using that didn't break me out, BUT I LOVE EVERYTHING IN THIS KIT! Dark marks that I thought I was keeping for life are fading dramatically. My pores look smaller. I'm amazed. I'm truly amazed.

I saw the witch hazel and went _yikes._ I'm sad, I can't use fragrance on my skin so these products are not for me. I hope she comes out with hydrating goodness down the road.

@@alexiscarrion3680 No witch hazel is not good for people of colour. It's an astringent which means it is very drying to the skin and this would cause irritation further down the road if you don't experience it now. Please watch UA-camrs like Dr Vanita Rattan who further explains it.

@@latisewilson4561 Hi toners aren't really a necessary step in your skincare routine. However if you looking to purchase one make sure it is alcohol free, unscented, it doesn't contain witch hazel. Rose water is a good one

I use mainly the things she has already recommended Cerave Hydrating and the Foaming cleanser, rose toner (purchased at Ulta), Fresh Moosturizer, Farmacy Honeymoon Glow serum, and I also enjoy the biossance squalane vitamin c rose oil. Sorry about the confusion.... oh I also use the DHC oil cleanser

The fat water really looks like bio oil which is giving me vivid flashbacks! I put that on my face to try and help my acne marks once...I regretted it need I say more 😭

As a scientist now in beauty the spf is a chemical one abc though it may not harm the reef those ingredients in there are toxic to humans my is often used in conjunction with avobenzone and other chemically-based sunscreen ingredients that are more like oxybenzone, the best way to avoid is to choose a toxic chemical free sunscreen that contains natural ingredients like zinc and titanium oxide. Most people hate astrigents, too drying. Give me a hydrating toner that restores my pH/acid mantle and removes residue all at the same time. I love aloe based products, with birch sap juice and ferments like Whamisa, Mugwort essence, Earth’s recipe, etc.
@@nancyismyname do you have dry skin?. Witch hazel is the only product i used that tighten my pores and remove excess dirt. The product i use is not drying at all (Thayers Alcohol-Free Witch Hazel Toner). It makes my face feels supple and smooth.. and too witch hazel is an alkaline like aloe so it does keep your skin ph in check. But to their own
ADNERB I actually have oily, acne-prone skin and also swore by Thayer’s witch hazel toner. I used to buy 2 bottles every 5 months from Whole Foods. I stopped using it because it was so drying. My facialist switched me to Eve Taylor’s balancing toner, but again, too drying, and we figured out it was the witch hazel. I’m glad it’s working for you, but it did nothing for me but give me dry patches even after exfoliation.
Aloe nor witch hazel are alkaline. Also, your skin is slightly more acidic (with a pH of 5), so products should lean more to that range.

Rhianna has naturally oily skin and she always releases first products to be what she personally would use first.
La Muse it’s cuz riri has oily skin so she first makes stuff that works for her and has her people assess the success to expand

I usually don’t even care about packaging, but this is the kind of power that Rihanna has!!! 😂
P.S.: acerola is like “a-say-‘ro-la.” Also, I wonder if Rihanna added it because it’s also known as “Barbados cherry”?? 🥰 (And if you haven’t tried it, it’s a must!! You can usually find acerola juice at Brazilian restaurants!! Maybe elsewhere too, but as a Brazilian Imma rep Brazil. 😂)

Idk what her skin type is obviously but i feel like almost every skincare brand and especially skin care for acne prone skin is only for more oily skin types and it sucks having combination/dry/normal skin because those products can end up causing more problems for me so i hope(and think in winter) she will release more dry skin friendly products :)

I just bought it! I ordered it over the phone it’s expensive for me because I am broke but my skin litterely needs help I have scars all over my body and I just have to test this product out to see if the acne scars will clear and my skin will get back lighter again and just healthier I don’t have a specific face wash package that I use so she definitely made this for me plus I am vegan and I want to support vegan also after Rihanna got beat up and got into a so called accident high I don’t believe I believe she was beat up or jumped I am going to support her so she can feel my love and know that I am for her not against her even if I don’t like her albums I like some of her songs they play on the radio and I think she is drop dead gorgeous and she stole my heart by her looks alone eyes to be specific plus people always tell me I look just like Rihanna I didn’t see it at first until my sister told me out of no where and then I looked closer and I definitely see the resemblance I am just darker skinned some times I look like Beyoncé and Jay-Z too lol
I'm buying it all. I was going through a serious natural skincare phase where all I used was organic small batch skincare I bought on Etsy but as an oily girl I will definitely make an exception and give this a try.

SUPERRRR glad I watched this!! I watched alissa Ashley’s video which was really good but I like this review approach especially about the ingredients. I’m in a committed relationship with my facial cleansers but I’m looking for a SPF as sadly I don’t use any regular like I should. I think I’m going to continue with my moisturizer & try the SPF. Thanks so much!!! Hopefully we still get to see the last part.
This face wash and toner dried my skin so bad, even on their own. I absolutely agree with you. The night cream and the day cream is great. But the toner turned my face to chalk. The packaging is amazing. I appreciate that kind of stuff. I hope she does come out with one more hydrating and gentler.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to pass. I know people like to downplay fragrance and it's ability to cause contact dermatitis after continued use, but I refuse to use it. Also, the red dyes in her products can cause comedogenic breakouts. Rih honestly could have done much better and just didn't
Same. Fragrance actually does not bother my skin much but it gives me headaches. I am kne f those people with cant even wear parfume and family members and my husband know how sensitive their perfumes and colognes can make me feel. I get bad headaches from heavily fragranced products. So I probably cant use these products. Sucks because some of the other ingredients seem nice for the skin. I just can't deal with fragrance ok n my face by my nose.

I’m here for this...super nervous about it tho’ my skin is super sensitive. I’ve heard mixed reviews...I’m gonna wait but I’m still hopeful. I’ll keep looking at reviews to make my final decision. I thoroughly enjoyed this video.

Awesome review! I think another possible reason why it wasn't super hydrating was because technically we're still in the warmer/summer months. So maybe when it gets to fall/winter, we'll see some exfoliating & (more) hydrating products (that are hopefully fragrance free lol)!
I wish my packaging was as nice and as detailed when my items came. It was literally thrown in a box with ripped paper. No cutioning or anything. For $80 I expected more. However the pructs are pretty good so far. I love the sunscreen moisturizer.
