I’ve used red light therapy on my face, décolleté/neck, and hands for 4+ years. I haven’t noticed much change on my face although I recently went to a family reunion and many siblings commented about the subtle changes in my face (smoother, plumper, less eye /mouth wrinkles). There’s very big improvement on my neck/chest areas. My hands are the biggest, most noticeable, night and day difference. My hands were horribly wrinkled and spotted. They’re smooth and spot free now. I’m 73 and I do take a variety of vitamins/minerals, collagen, Gut to Glow, D&O Glow as well as L-Reuteri yogurt.
Red light for face has to be a professional level grade! Liposomal Glutathione and Liposomal vitamin C give me the best glow that people notice. If you add collagen you will get even better skin
I bought a cheap red light box on Amazon (LED-Red-Light-Therapy-Device - 45W LED Panel Deep 660nm and Near-Infrared 850nm LED Light Combo by Rhmip) and saw such good results, I bought a second. My experience has been very reduced blood sugar spikes, skin and mood improvement. I did not see these great results until I started using it 5-6 days a week for 25 min. Oh, and it’s also my experience that this works terrific in the evening as this is the only time I use it. Red light is naturally available around sunset as well as morning so this makes sense.
This completely off the topic, but I need to say I am benefitting a lot from your yogurt recipe. My bowel movement and mood have gotten noticeably better. Thank you! 😊

I use Dr. Bill Davis' recipe. Berg interviewed him then made the yogurt at end of video.
I had a skin tag right below my eye and the doctor wanted to freeze it off I also had a patch of keratin the size of a quarter on my scalp she wanted to freeze that off as well. I have been jumping in the Red Light booth at my gym and both are gone!

Bought it off Amazon for around $70. I appreciate it because I can wrap it around anyplace -- waist, elbow, knee -- and it stays in place. I really appreciate your information and research. You're right -- there really hasn't been much legitimate research, and I appreciate knowing there is some now. I know for myself it healed my really painful left knee when I fell on it about 7 years ago -- within a couple of days it felt just fine. Still making and eating my l. reuteri yogurt! Giving a small dollop to my dog every day too!! And thank you SO much for the information about incandescent bulbs. I've never really transferred over to LED bulbs yet. I feel vindicated!

So fascinating! I haven’t been in the sun since 1993. I never get in the sun at all unless I go to and from the car or mailbox. Limited. After a diagnosis of polymorphous light eruption, I stayed out. I grew up in Florida and was a lifeguard and taught water safety and swimming lessons!
I use small red light therapy pads daily right now. I sandwich my lungs since I'm struggling with an infection. My legs are in the sun every morning. My Vit D, MK-7, Zinc and Mag are in too.
@@Serendipity_Glows It can get very confusing & overwhelming shopping around for red light systems. Most are way over priced. It is good to make sure the red light bulbs are not the small square chips & are bulbs. Unit should not have a flicker. The hard square or rectangular shape that Dr Davis showed is good. Contacting the manufacturer to ask about the rate of EMFs emitted at the distance away from unit is important. Read the specs on the model. There is a guy in New Zealand (Alex Fergus) who has a you tube channel that rates the models. He recently changed his company name to Light Therapy Insiders? He has charts to compare models.
Vielight sells a red light capsule that goes in the nose. $350, $400, & $500. Dr. Lim (Toronto Canada) has done a lot of studies on red light therapy. We used one of those models for my Mom after she had a stroke. She didn't like it in her nose, so we put it in her ear. She was mentally sharper after using it. Dr. Lim did a study years ago at Mass General's Alzheimer's study. The 40 patient's got better. Unfortunately, once they stopped using the product, they lost all benefits.
I bought a panel that includes a few UV lights on it and use this 20 minutes in the morning during the winter months. For me, this improves sleep. There are longer wave lengths for bone penetration. There’s supply of L.Reuteri and L. Gasseri in my refrig. These are strategies that I began after an osteopenia diagnosis. It’s two years between DEXA scans but I should find out soon whether I’ve been able to improve or hold steady on bone density. Bones require multiple strategies and I’ll see what results I get. ❤
@@lenakatarinaful I bought a Platinum and it ran around $1,200. I suggest you search Red Light Insiders. They have a page that allows you to access PubMed research on different uses and wave lengths. This helped me to decide on my unit which has deeper penetration for bones. Alex does a video where he shows red light actually penetrating bones. Anyway, there are a lot of different products out there and this website evaluates them so you can make an informed decision.
I did a lot of reading and watching YT videos about the benefits of red light. About a month ago, I bought a red light unit from Platinum Red Light, one of the better companies. I use it 5 minutes on each side of my body, at 12 inches away, a total of 20 minutes, maybe 5 days a week. It may be too early to expect any results, but am hoping for some over time.
I need to find the incandescent bulbs. My concern is the deleterious effects on the retina that can hasten retinal detachments, or other eye issues. Thank you so much for this information! I will search for the incandescent. My newly remodeled kitchen has six led lights in it.
Do warm LEDs 2700k damage like the mid 5000k range. I was diagnosed with cataracts 2 years ago. And 23 and me show I have the genetic variants for macular degeneration so the topic interests me.
What about gum regeneration… I have a gausha face tool ( just started)with a red light firming feature and was thinking lately about the red light penetrating through the skin maybe to help regrow gum tissue??
I don’t know specific studies, but there has been an explosion of research in red light (6000 studies last year), and it is being used in dentistry. Just google “effects of red light on [whatever]” and you will turn up scientific journal articles that report the results. UA-cam also has lots of info from legitimate scientists. Red light is being used in dentistry applications now, with positive results for gum regeneration, if memory serves. You do need to do some research to see what wavelengths of light are used in the successful applications, and then make sure you have a device that will actually produce those wavelengths in sufficient strengths.
Thank you! Thank you! I was struggling on this very question: 2buy or NOT 2buy? AND: 2spend $ or $$$$$$$$? (On a credit card without a much of a budget) Especially since I want to gift my in-laws who I love dearly, and also get another for myself & hubby to share. If a person had a small melanoma removed a decade ago, would there be some concern or reservations about using red light therapy? How close do you need to be to the device? Can you turn it on in your office and walk around, or should you sit still, close your eyes and meditate? Btw, I just “discovered” you less than a week ago, and have been binge listening to you for hours! I share the information I learn with my family and friends. So, I just want to thank you! -Audrey in Chicago
Hi Dr Davis, new here, thanks for sharing. I have been making the 36 hr reuteri and sibo yogurt, and instead of using the biogaia, I was wanting to try the oxicuetics and having it deliver to myUSAddress because shipping to Canada is over $60. We're in Ontario and drive up to Ogdensburg, New York about once every 2 months and wondering if it may not be a good idea to have it sitting there in the postal depo for over 2 or 3 weeks. Re: RLT, I've been using for yrs, used to buy the panels (with too much flicker) from China 15 yrs ago, now I have a decent panel, so many different applications. I would not be without it. Thanks
i have a red light and use it on my feet and legs to helpheal tendinitis and arthritis. Soemtimes my ankles lock up. It takes about half an hour to to get my ankles to feel normal. i also have3 a nasal red light that I use...REd light therapy is great.
Recently discovered are opsins these are receptors for various light frequencies, these originally have been found concentrated in the eye, optic nerve to the brain now they have been found in our skin! =dr jack kruse podcasts.
About red light to scalp (helmet). I don’t have one but do have education and experience with acupuncture and the use of small red diode laser instead of acupuncture. Look up scalp acupuncture, it can/does work so I do believe the helmet could benefit the brain/whole body. One of the most important acupuncture point, Baihui (Du20) (meeting of 100 channels) crown of head. Plus there are plenty of other acupuncture point in the scalp.
My interpretation of why red light therapy improves metabolism is because it absorbs through the skin and reduces the viscosity within the mitochondria which enables it to operate at a faster rate, producing more atp. Higher atp production means it will require more fuel sources.
Great info as usual and thank you so much. Regarding the incandescent bulbs, you can get 2700K - 3000K LED bulbs which is the same color so you can still save on power.

Hi Sir, just made your yogurt with your product and it tasted amazing but I had some serious stomach pain for a few hours. Is that normal if I potentially have SIBO? Would you recommend healing SIBO before starting the yogurt? Or doing less then 1/2 a cup? Thank you 🙏
I too love my reuteri yoghurt and have all your books. I am though gaining weight and wonder if the single cream I buy in the UK (no half and half here!) is the cause?
Sorry to interrupt, but I feel like I have been having some great results from L. Reuteri "yogurt". However, I take 20 drops of Methelyene Blue every day. Question is: Does Meth Blue kill L. Reuteri? I dont think it does, based on my anecdotal experience, but I am highly susceptible to the placebo effect.
Hello Dr. Davis thank you for your research on probiotics. I read that honey can help to make probiotics more resident in the gut. Also turmeric can help to increase the diversity of probiotics in the gut. Do you have information on this?
Hi. So if you have to do red light therapy in the morning but you are working night shift, does that mean you should do it at night before you start your shift? Thanks
Here’s a problem I’ve been having. I’ve been making and eating l reuteri and SIBO yogurt for over two months and I’ve noticed that I’m getting regular bouts of eczema on my legs when I did it have this before. I never used to eat much dairy so I have a feeling that it’s a histamine reaction. So there is no recommended diet or practice that works for everyone.
So, there seems to be a lot of emphasis/attention/marketing given to the range of red light for 'therapeutic' use. Does the wave length matter within the red spectrum?
I am doing red light therapy in a bed at an establishment. The Red light is just inches away from my face. Do I need eye protection or just keep my eyes closed? My treatment is 20 minutes. I will start to do in the morning only...thank you
I've been doing the yogurt and I've been doing it exactly the way you showed it and I was doing it for 3 weeks and my face started breaking out and I never had acne in my life if you could at least talk about this in case there's other people out there. Why would this be happening thank you
Tonight when I checked direct with vevor, they were temporarily out of stock of the 60 bulb unit that Dr Davis showed us- and it still costs less than $100 with some discounts also offered. Their 300 bulb all body unit is $350. They also have pads that lay directly on the small of your back or shoulders or even slipper- type devices for $100 or less. I not sure which one I’ll get yet. But I want to get one for me and my hubby, and one or 2 more as gifts. Seems like it’s worth it. Also many gyms now offer it, too .
I think it’s great that Dr. Davis is talking about the benefits of red light. The research in this area is exploding, and it’s going to turn out to be one of the biggest beneficial therapies ever made available to everyday people-especially in an age in which we increasingly are deprived, or deprive ourselves, of sunlight/red light exposure. I was a little dismayed to hear him give global protocols for use, though (e.g., “a minute and a half is sufficient”). Anyone who is interested in this should do research on the specific issue you want to treat with it, find out what wavelengths of light work best with that issue, and the time used in studies that are successful. Do your homework, and get a device that you know will produce the wavelengths you need. If you buy some red light bulbs and sit under them for a couple of minutes a day, you are not going to see any results.

You are GREAT!! Thank you for sharing your information and giving us such great guidance. God Bless you!!
Thank you for all you do, im also in Chicago.
Thank you for such great information!
Thanks for your expertise and honesty.
let us know how it goes. very interested.
What does your device called
@@lenakatarinaful I bought a Platinum and it ran around $1,200. I suggest you search Red Light Insiders. They have a page that allows you to access PubMed research on different uses and wave lengths. This helped me to decide on my unit which has deeper penetration for bones. Alex does a video where he shows red light actually penetrating bones. Anyway, there are a lot of different products out there and this website evaluates them so you can make an informed decision.
Thanks for all you do, great info. I've been following you for 15 years or more
I wont use led bulbs and their emf radiation. all led bulbs have been removed from my house and I am back to incandescent light.
Where do buy incandescent light bulbs? I thought they were illegal to sell in the US.
Please - where did you buy them?
This is not entirely true. Not all LEDs are bad. Keep digging.
@UrsaBella What about LEDs used for red light therapy?
@ same. I won’t use it. Led emits radiation.
It may be too early to expect any results, but am hoping for some over time.
i'd be very interested in your conclusions. i was thinking about that brand, also.
Put the red light device directly on your skin.
We bought a chicken bulb red light and are using it. Surprising, it is not hot. Hope it’s doing something. Thank you!
This was SO helpful!! Thank you.
I need to find the incandescent bulbs. My concern is the deleterious effects on the retina that can hasten retinal detachments, or other eye issues. Thank you so much for this information! I will search for the incandescent. My newly remodeled kitchen has six led lights in it.
I am feeling blessed to find your channal ❤
thank you Dr DAVIS❤
Get outside at dawn and dusk, also find old school incandescent light bulbs (candles/fireplace) for your home...for natural red light benefits. ❤
So hard to find incandescent bulbs, not cheap but sooo nice.
Do warm LEDs 2700k damage like the mid 5000k range. I was diagnosed with cataracts 2 years ago. And 23 and me show I have the genetic variants for macular degeneration so the topic interests me.
You don't even need to spend that much, buy a reptile bulb, they're like £4...
Not the right wave-lengths. The wavelengths are very specific.
Wow, that would be amazing if it could do that.
What about various wavelengths?
Thank you! Thank you! I was struggling on this very question: 2buy or NOT 2buy?
AND: 2spend $ or $$$$$$$$? (On a credit card without a much of a budget)
Especially since I want to gift my in-laws who I love dearly, and also get another for myself & hubby to share.
Will cheap Chinese stuff really have the wavelengths that it says?
Thanks
Can we still find those bulbs
i have a red light and use it on my feet and legs to helpheal tendinitis and arthritis.
Far west TEXAN-here the sun is almost out. All most every one in ElPaso Texas is vitamin D deference.
Thank you.
Hi! What about red light sauna blankets, do they have the same benefits as direct red light exposure?
What about red light led bulbs?
Not nearly as good. They don't have the wavelength variety that you need and not enough surface area
Just to double check check … so the bulbs in your red light machine are not LED bulbs?
About red light to scalp (helmet). I don’t have one but do have education and experience with acupuncture and the use of small red diode laser instead of acupuncture. Look up scalp acupuncture, it can/does work so I do believe the helmet could benefit the brain/whole body. One of the most important acupuncture point, Baihui (Du20) (meeting of 100 channels) crown of head. Plus there are plenty of other acupuncture point in the scalp.
What about having the red light on while on your devices, would it cancel the blue light out ? Stopping the red from interfering with sleep.
My interpretation of why red light therapy improves metabolism is because it absorbs through the skin and reduces the viscosity within the mitochondria which enables it to operate at a faster rate, producing more atp. Higher atp production means it will require more fuel sources.
Any advice where to buy incandescent light bulbs?!
Great info as usual and thank you so much. Regarding the incandescent bulbs, you can get 2700K - 3000K LED bulbs which is the same color so you can still save on power.
The whole point is the led’s aren’t good for you. That’s why people are trying to find the incandescent
@@tinadesroche8159 Actually the whole point is about blue light. So getting the warmer tone in LED bulbs achieves the same thing as incandescent.
@@alex-sd no, LEDs have far more sinister downsides than just blue light.
I use the red light pads I bought for my horses to help with injury recovery. We share 😜
What about with cheaper ones the EMF maybe higher ?
I painted the led light bulbs in my bedroom red to obscure the blue light. Do you think that helps?
What about what we put on our skin?
🌟🌟🌟I use blue light blocking glasses…which reset my insomnia in less than a week. A life changing experience.
🌟🌟🌟My reading 👁👁glasses include blue light blocking technology. They are wonderful.

I use a combo between Infra Red and purple light, and castor oil. Not sure what's doing what, but my skin does look less inflamed after 3 days.
Wonder if red light penetrates through the glass window to provide benefits to the body in the morning?
I was wondering the same thing. I would think it does, if it’s just plain glass.
It blocks the infrared, unfortunately.
Hi Sir, just made your yogurt with your product and it tasted amazing but I had some serious stomach pain for a few hours. Is that normal if I potentially have SIBO? Would you recommend healing SIBO before starting the yogurt? Or doing less then 1/2 a cup? Thank you 🙏
Start low and increase slow, the yogurt will help eliminate SIBO
@eliminateyourhypocrisies This is good to know. Thank you 🙏
Where can I buy incandescent bulbs?
Amazon ☹️
I too love my reuteri yoghurt and have all your books. I am though gaining weight and wonder if the single cream I buy in the UK (no half and half here!) is the cause?
Why can’t I find VEVOR from Amazon Canada?
Where in the Hades can you get incandescent bulbs?
Sorry to interrupt, but I feel like I have been having some great results from L. Reuteri "yogurt". However, I take 20 drops of Methelyene Blue every day. Question is: Does Meth Blue kill L. Reuteri? I dont think it does, based on my anecdotal experience, but I am highly susceptible to the placebo effect.
Can you get visual benefits by using an infrared sauna? Is it better to just use red light without the sauna?
The red light is the sauna ,it's not an added hot place.
So...... what's the difference between red light and infrared light? What's the differences, benefits and preferences?
Are tanning beds beneficial?
That was smart
Are there any studies relating redlight for tinnitus
Hello Dr. Davis thank you for your research on probiotics. I read that honey can help to make probiotics more resident in the gut. Also turmeric can help to increase the diversity of probiotics in the gut. Do you have information on this?
I’d have to do research myself on the honey issue. But honey itself causes glycation. It’s not a very healthy food.
Hi. So if you have to do red light therapy in the morning but you are working night shift, does that mean you should do it at night before you start your shift? Thanks
What about whole spectrum aquarium lights?
I will start to do in the morning only...thank you
ALL my bulbs in the house are incandescent. LEDs are fine for the outside lights. I don’t live outside.
I've been doing the yogurt and I've been doing it exactly the way you showed it and I was doing it for 3 weeks and my face started breaking out and I never had acne in my life if you could at least talk about this in case there's other people out there. Why would this be happening thank you
i have a minimal thickening of artery of heart . what would be good to clear it ?
This red light device doctor shows is $300.
Dose anyone have any recommendations for methyl blue
Hi, great but why only in the morning for the use of red light?
A lot of people do it at night or even both morning and night.
@ i find it more soothing in the evening, thanks.
Where can we find incandescent bulbs anymore? They’ve been made illegal!!
