I’ve used red light therapy on my face, décolleté/neck, and hands for 4+ years. I haven’t noticed much change on my face although I recently went to a family reunion and many siblings commented about the subtle changes in my face (smoother, plumper, less eye /mouth wrinkles). There’s very big improvement on my neck/chest areas. My hands are the biggest, most noticeable, night and day difference. My hands were horribly wrinkled and spotted. They’re smooth and spot free now. I’m 73 and I do take a variety of vitamins/minerals, collagen, Gut to Glow, D&O Glow as well as L-Reuteri yogurt.

I bought a cheap red light box on Amazon (LED-Red-Light-Therapy-Device - 45W LED Panel Deep 660nm and Near-Infrared 850nm LED Light Combo by Rhmip) and saw such good results, I bought a second. My experience has been very reduced blood sugar spikes, skin and mood improvement. I did not see these great results until I started using it 5-6 days a week for 25 min. Oh, and it’s also my experience that this works terrific in the evening as this is the only time I use it. Red light is naturally available around sunset as well as morning so this makes sense.

@mikepeek5655 Started three months ago. I eat about 1/3 cup a day with blueberries or pomegranate added. But for men there are other things at play as well--zinc, I think, and diet. Check out Dr. Berg, he covers this more extensively. I wasn't after growing thicker hair as I have enough. It is an added effect. I eat the yogurt to balance my gut microbes. I use Dr. Bill Davis' recipe. Berg interviewed him then made the yogurt at end of video.

I've been using red light devices for years. I'm sitting here right now with a silicone red light belt draped over my foot; it is 670+850nm, a timer that goes to 30 minutes, and intensity settings, one of which flashes on and off. I like it. Bought it off Amazon for around $70. I appreciate it because I can wrap it around anyplace -- waist, elbow, knee -- and it stays in place. I really appreciate your information and research. You're right -- there really hasn't been much legitimate research, and I appreciate knowing there is some now. I know for myself it healed my really painful left knee when I fell on it about 7 years ago -- within a couple of days it felt just fine.
Still making and eating my l. reuteri yogurt! Giving a small dollop to my dog every day too!!

It is good to make sure the red light bulbs are not the small square chips & are bulbs. Unit should not have a flicker. The hard square or rectangular shape that Dr Davis showed is good. Contacting the manufacturer to ask about the rate of EMFs emitted at the distance away from unit is important. Read the specs on the model. There is a guy in New Zealand (Alex Fergus) who has a you tube channel that rates the models. He recently changed his company name to Light Therapy Insiders? He has charts to compare models.

I don’t know specific studies, but there has been an explosion of research in red light (6000 studies last year), and it is being used in dentistry. Just google “effects of red light on [whatever]” and you will turn up scientific journal articles that report the results. UA-cam also has lots of info from legitimate scientists. Red light is being used in dentistry applications now, with positive results for gum regeneration, if memory serves. You do need to do some research to see what wavelengths of light are used in the successful applications, and then make sure you have a device that will actually produce those wavelengths in sufficient strengths.

Thank you! Thank you! I was struggling on this very question: 2buy or NOT 2buy?
AND: 2spend $ or $$$$$$$$? (On a credit card without a much of a budget)
Especially since I want to gift my in-laws who I love dearly, and also get another for myself & hubby to share.
If a person had a small melanoma removed a decade ago, would there be some concern or reservations about using red light therapy?
How close do you need to be to the device? Can you turn it on in your office and walk around, or should you sit still, close your eyes and meditate?
Btw, I just “discovered” you less than a week ago, and have been binge listening to you for hours! I share the information I learn with my family and friends. So, I just want to thank you! -Audrey in Chicago

Hi Dr Davis, new here, thanks for sharing. I have been making the 36 hr reuteri and sibo yogurt, and instead of using the biogaia, I was wanting to try the oxicuetics and having it deliver to myUSAddress because shipping to Canada is over $60. We're in Ontario and drive up to Ogdensburg, New York about once every 2 months and wondering if it may not be a good idea to have it sitting there in the postal depo for over 2 or 3 weeks.
Re: RLT, I've been using for yrs, used to buy the panels (with too much flicker) from China 15 yrs ago, now I have a decent panel, so many different applications. I would not be without it. Thanks

Look up scalp acupuncture, it can/does work so I do believe the helmet could benefit the brain/whole body. One of the most important acupuncture point, Baihui (Du20) (meeting of 100 channels) crown of head. Plus there are plenty of other acupuncture point in the scalp.

My interpretation of why red light therapy improves metabolism is because it absorbs through the skin and reduces the viscosity within the mitochondria which enables it to operate at a faster rate, producing more atp. Higher atp production means it will require more fuel sources.

Tonight when I checked direct with vevor, they were temporarily out of stock of the 60 bulb unit that Dr Davis showed us- and it still costs less than $100 with some discounts also offered. Their 300 bulb all body unit is $350. They also have pads that lay directly on the small of your back or shoulders or even slipper- type devices for $100 or less. I not sure which one I’ll get yet. But I want to get one for me and my hubby, and one or 2 more as gifts. Seems like it’s worth it. Also many gyms now offer it, too .

    • @cynthiasymons
      @cynthiasymons 14 днів тому +2

I think it’s great that Dr. Davis is talking about the benefits of red light. The research in this area is exploding, and it’s going to turn out to be one of the biggest beneficial therapies ever made available to everyday people-especially in an age in which we increasingly are deprived, or deprive ourselves, of sunlight/red light exposure. I was a little dismayed to hear him give global protocols for use, though (e.g., “a minute and a half is sufficient”). Anyone who is interested in this should do research on the specific issue you want to treat with it, find out what wavelengths of light work best with that issue, and the time used in studies that are successful. Do your homework, and get a device that you know will produce the wavelengths you need. If you buy some red light bulbs and sit under them for a couple of minutes a day, you are not going to see any results.
