for all future shows you guys should be the test audience. Its interesting how you guys lap up all the kids and teen stuff coz you love star wars and are willing to give a bit of leeway but the way you both are so happy and grateful to have great writing, direction artwork is -- epic -- . This just proves that disney should pay more attention to its audience as I feel most want start wars to have the best talent doing the best job with great scripts.

“I burned my life for a sunrise I know I’ll never see.” The show is so quotable but not in the prequel meme sense(although their are genuinely great lines). The dialogue is a highlight of this series. Remember how Cassian Jyn died? They died not fully knowing their actions and sacrifice changed the course of galactic history.

The writing on this show is so far superior to anything Star Wars that has come before it's a breath of fresh air. I'm hopefully optimistic that we'll see Kino again, either before the end of this season or perhaps in season two, reuniting with his brothers Cassian and Melshi, since we don't actually see his fate. Maybe they filmed it that way because they weren't sure if they'd be able to get Andy Serkis again so they wanted to leave it ambiguous.

The small smile that Kino had when he said "I can't swim" the second time absolutely broke me. He did so much to get the prisoners out and led them to freedom, only to have that realization that he couldn't take part in it. I hope that he and some prisoners stay on the prison, and wait for a transport to come, so they can at least try to overwhelm them and take the ship. If not, I hope he jumped in and got some help, but I don't think we'll ever find out if he escaped or not. I loved the episode, the best one so far, Andor has changed a lot, and he no longer hesitates to shoot an enemy on the ground, a huge change from the first episode, although he still doesn't kill in cold blood except if absolutely necessary. The prison escape is also the first operation that Andor creates and directs instead of being a member of the group.
In addition, the empire creates an army of enemies in that prison, gives them order, structure, uniforms, teaches them to march and obey and act as a unit instead of individuals, leaders, hierarchy, discipline and most important of all, a reason to the rebellion The moment someone sees through the lie the entire imperial system falls apart.
The more they oppress the more and more enemies they create, until they cannot subdue them all, it is a vicious circle that the Empire itself creates and from which it is unable to escape.
It is also the episode of the great speeches, where both Kino and Luthen shine in their scenes. Both excellent characters and they can both go very far, but they will never reach the end of the path, they can only help others to make that path.

The "one way out" is the elevator to the assembly floor from the guard room. Everywhere else they normally have access to is on that level. Cells, showers, changing rooms. All of the levels are built the same, hence the low guard count at the time.

Apart from the electrified floors, the Imps don't seem to have a very well thought-out prison. I bet there's a couple of speeders somewhere on the upper deck for doing exterior inspections of the structure which Kino could use to escape.

WHAT IF luthen is Kento Marek? He and his wife left the Order before order 66 and his son became STARKILLER ... "I share my dreams with ghosts. I wake up every day to an equation I wrote 15 years ago from which there’s only one conclusion: I’m damned for what I do. My anger, my ego, my unwillingness to yield, my eagerness to fight, they’ve set me on a path from which there is no escape. I yearned to be a savior against injustice without contemplating the cost, and by the time I looked down, there was no longer any ground beneath my feet."

I’ll be shocked if Luthen dies this season. He’s so clutch to the story. Mon Mothma doesn’t leave the senate for another year or so, so I think season 2 will be Andor working for Luthen until Luthen is killed off. It would be cool if season two ends with The Ghost crew rescuing Mon Mothma and forming the alliance proper.

Not so much the monologue by Luthen, but its when he says "we need all the heroes we can get". The rebellion will need heroes like Ahsoka, the Spectres, Han, Luke, Leia, Wedge, Lando, Lonnie here, Bail Organa and Mon etc, to win this fight; but right now, it also needs monsters like Saw, Cassian and Luthen.
