- Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan said in a speech to parliament, Tuesday, August 6, that following India's move to change the status of disputed Kashmir, Islamabad and New Delhi could go to war if India repeats a military strike inside his country. Khan said he feared that Kashmiri people, angered over India's decision to strip the region of its special status, could launch an attack on Indian security forces and that New Delhi could blame Pakistan for it. (AP)
Meanwhile, a senior American diplomat arrived in Islamabad Tuesday for pre-scheduled bilateral meetings. Pakistani officials said the latest developments in Kashmir were likely to figure high in the talks with Alice Wells, the U.S. principal deputy assistant secretary of state in charge of South and Central Asian affairs.

I saw once a video of MJ Akbar telling "its the nature of Pakistani state which is the root cause. There is no fault of Pakistani ordinary people in it." I agree with him completely. Pakistan's existence would be threatened if it gets well dispensed well towards India. So the entire state machinery (which is run by Pak Army) is designed in such a manner that only those end up wielding power (I mean Army and ISI) who categorically abhor India. Thus it's not the fault of Imran Khan per se. Any PM who does not echo military's voice meets the fate of Mr. Liaqat Ali Khan and Mr. Nawaz Sharif. So Indian and Pakistani brothers and sisters may continue their social media warfare if they want, but that seldom changes anything. Pakistanis can't vote their military out of power and Indians would vote that one in power who is promising to Indians in dealing with Pakistan and China. This hatred will end only with either of one side collapsing. It is an endless cycle. It is a bitter ugly truth, regardless of how much we dislike it.

Few things that I would like to appeal to the people of Pakistan having average common sense.
1) No country will support you in war scenario as India for them is money and even you can not resist money.
2) In war scenario you need to move your convoys which demands heavy expenditure and this time you will be surrounded through Afghanistan, Iran, Gujrat, Rajasthan and of course from Jammu and Kashmir.
3) You can not afford to fight on all fronts with full might. You don't have the money.
5) Look at the amount you need to pay to world bank, China and IMF in 2020, you will be bankrupt soon and no bankrupt country is left with nuclear option. Your assests would be freezed.
6) I won't be surprised if alligations regarding the sale of nuclear weapons to rouge elements would soon be charged on Pakistan, which will be extremely dangerous situation for Pakistan.
7) You lived in denial when east Pakistan complained partiality an mistreatment and it resulted in Bangladesh, you still live in denial about Sindh and Balochistan, sooner or later it will cost you a lot.
8) let S-400 be deployed on the border and your nuclear bluff will be called out. Any misadventure will lead to the termination of your nuclear missiles within your own territory.
I can only laugh at you as Pakistan is much more capable than you can imagine, we have better air force, missiles and battle hardened army, we even have second strike capability, which means that even if whole Pakistan turns into ashes, a submarine from some part of the ocean will emerge from the sea and wipe out all the india from face of the earth

Schools are open. Shops are allowed to be open, but unfortunately, many refuse to be open in protest or are threatened by terrorists. By removing special status, everyone will have equal rights. There will be commerce and education, thus the the youth will have brighter future. Kashmir will do better economically. The world should be thanking and joining Modi to fight for humanity.
