  • For this stunning Ethan Allen dresser, we'll use Dixie Belle Chalk Paint and stencils, and apply stain to give it a lot of cool character. I sanded the top to the original wood and did some patching before I began cleaning this dresser with White Lightning cleaner. Then a good coat of B.O.S.S. top coat. After letting that dry overnight, I painted one coat of Driftwood Chalk Mineral Paint color. Then it was time to get creative. I'll show in the video how I used 4 colors: Putty, English Ivy, Hurricane Gray, and Gravel Road. Stencils were then used to give it a cool original look. The stencils used were: Sonoma Art Tiles, Safari, Mudcloth, Cozy Sweater, and Bees Knees. Copper Patina Paint was used to add a little metallic highlights and faux distressing too. For the top, I used No Pain Gel Stain: Colonial Black to keep the top dark and tie in with the overall colors of the chalk paint. Be sure to see all the steps in the video.

I have one of those pans and a bowl. I need to find them and add them to my repertoire. 😊
