*KACHA,* Holy Mother of Gold Leaf! You never cease to amaze me with your ideas, execution and finished work product. I am inspired by you with each and every artistic furniture piece you create. The amount of work you and Carlos put into each project is unfathomable to me. I mean that in a good way! Like this project was done over a few days I suspect, then put on YT in a 10 minute video capturing every detail, start to finish. From the intro to hauling the piece into your studio, from the cleaning, repairs and other prep to sharing what products are used, from the painting and embellishing to the sealing and attaching the hardware for that final touch. All for the Big Reveal that is ALWAYS worth the wait! Thank you Kacha & Carlos for consistently sharing these phenomenal masterpieces. Whether as a hobby or a livelihood; and whatever it is called, i.e. furniture art, flipping, upcycling or repurposing, it has caught on. Like Martha Steward would say, "It's a Good Thing!" You are doing something that is sustainable and exemplifies good environmental stewardship. Meaning, lessening the pollution from furniture factories and reducing the amount of waste being sent to landfills and incinerators. More importantly, you are preserving and/or giving new life to a piece of furniture so that it may be used to its fullest extent -- and that my friends, SAVES MONEY! Your ingenious talent, coupled with the willingness to teach newbies, or a rookie like myself, is confirmation that the person on video is just as kind, fun and selfless in person. Kacha & Carlos, keep doing what you do. I always look forward to how you translate your vision and unique style onto a furniture piece. The result of your magical transformations has never disappointed me in any final reveal. Every creation could be the *showcase* piece that is placed front and center, to immediately get your attention, at the entrance of a high-end, luxury furniture store. It is the most fabulous, most expensive and sets the tone for the rest of the store. Lastly, I sincerely hope the KACHA channel and all the other furniture artist Influencers keep posting their how-to's, processes and other helpful information on all their socials. There are so many who have been doing this or getting into it and no sign of a shortage of buyers. After all, each piece is a one-of-a-kind and that never goes out of style. Keep sharing, teaching, and inspiring -- all the ingredients necessary for Furniture Art to remain relevant, not only today, but tomorrow and into the far future.
Maravilloso. Congratulation. God bless you.
So beautiful. I love the small smile on your face while applying the leaf. It’s a very long process and yet I can total see how much you love your job. The joy in taking a piece of furniture and bringing out the very best in it. So inspiring.
Gold leafing is so beautiful especially on a heavily carved piece…but may I suggest your under be red and not black..red is the classic and best for the gold leaf to be richer and deeper. Also suggest to antique with raw umber glaze not black, black is too harsh. Finally, to finish your layering, a light spatter in black with a fan brush. Try it on a test piece, you will see the difference. Best wishes!
Love this and the black wax thinning is brilliant! I hadn't seen that before. I experimented with Rub n Buff thinned with big mama's butta but wanted a stronger shine. This is the ultimate royal glamor
Such a beautiful piece. I kept telling myself, after you gold leafed it, “trust Kacha; she knows what she’s doing” … and you didn’t disappoint. You’re very talented. Thank you for sharing.
OMG….you never cease to amaze!! That is worthy of Buckingham Palace for sure!! And yes…videography skills…your hubby really knows what he is doing! Just beautiful!❤
Beauty and the beast 😍 Beautiful 💕🌹💞 piece, your artistry, vision, your husband filming you, the flakes falling in slow motion and the music. Now all you need is chip, the tea pot, the talking candle sticks, and the clock. 😊💖
Love the end ! But the thing I love the best is that I think you found back a way to make videos that can work best with your needs of creating without the stress of creating for the videos. Great job ! And that is all because of Carlos’s video editing skill. Team work ! 🙌
I at first thought oh no too much , I admired your patience ,and how you did not look like you were gilding yourself when applying the gold leaf . This piece looks amazing and should be in a very grand hallway
This is a magnificent piece! The minute y’all set it down all I could think of was all the work and time it was going to take. You and Carlos are so talented and are an amazing duo. Keep up the beautiful work and sharing your talent.💕💕💕💕
Stunning. I am working on a wall piece right now. I can’t seem to pick up the papers without them flying, curling, and tearing so now I pick them up with the tissues, place them, and rub the tissue for good adhesion before I remove it. Is there anything wrong with doing it with the tissues? Also, as I’m brushing millions of tiny flakes away I’m wondering why I didn’t just paint it gold? What is the benefit or advantage of leafing it?
This is majestic work, this piece is divine with that precious carving, congratulations Kacha, you are great and in every job you do you go from perfection to perfection, I admire your work, your patience and your talent. You are an example of motivation. a huge hug from Mexico... Julia
👏🏼🌟🌟 i just did a framework with gold leaf today and it has taken ages to obtain 4 straight lines. you are great and patient like a saint 💓and many thanks for the protection tip, i was wondering if wax would ruin the gold and thought i would check Kacha she loves gold, then this video popped up❤️
I am in New Zealand and I have this identical table (but slightly larger) that I just made into a bathroom vanity. I found my table at a second hand shop
Was thinking uh oh, doesn’t look so good because of all of the intricate carving and the gold wasn’t covering every nook and cranny, but you pulled it off with your amazing techniques and the finished piece now looks like a masterpiece!! Should have never doubted, you did a fantastic job!! 👍🙌👏🏻😊
Hi !! That change over was the most amazing transformation ever !! Beautiful table !! Love it !! You certainly are a master of your art !! Thank you for your great vlogs !! Take care ! Blessings ! Deborah Canada 🇨🇦.
Hi Kacha. Love your work. Tell me,why did you paint the table black, and not just gild directly onto the bare wood? I have bought your gilding and just waiting for the right piece.😊
Oh Kacha, this one takes my breath away! Have I not seen this before? In the Hermitage, perhaps? 😉 I have said before many of your pieces are museum worthy. But this! Masterful. And I so enjoy the videography and musical presentations!
WAOOOOO ES DE LOS TRABAJOS MÁS HERMOSOS QUE HE VISTO . SOY FANÁTICA DE LOS MUEBLES DE ESTILO VICTORIANOS Y ME ENCANTA CÓMO LOS HACES SER MUEBLES DIGNOS DE UN PALACIO

You wrote a volumes... hope she reads it after such effort.
I was thinking this was not going to look good but it is a gorgeous piece! The dark wax just made it! Kacha you are a master at this!!❤
The gold with the black wash dramatizes every carving and detail. Very elegant. Very Kacha!
You have so much more patience than I! If I even tried that, everything would be covered in gold flakes... floor, furniture, dogs, cat, and me!
Yes and trust me from experience you would also sneeze gold for a week! 😆🤣😂

agree with you. Black is usually too harsh. Shadows are not truly black.
Love this and the black wax thinning is brilliant! I hadn't seen that before. I experimented with Rub n Buff thinned with big mama's butta but wanted a stronger shine. This is the ultimate royal glamor
I've mixed mineral oil with my wax. It goes on like butter.

When a wax is thinned down to become a wash, does it still protect the piece?
