This is a really nice piece for the price! I actually like the small TIMEX text on the dial. I'd rather dial text be too small than too large. FEARS is another brand that gets this right. To contrast, look at the logo and text on the Monta Atlas. It's just a bit too big and takes away from the rest of the watch. Thanks for making this video!
Well done Timex. What a well executed piece overall. Lugs remind me a bit of the Code 11.59! I like the choice of no date movement. This is a model Timex should be proud of, even though it isn't for me.
Seems like Timex can't break free of some quality control issues with their dials. Its understandable for their cheap watches, but to see the debris and scratches on this watch is dissapointing.
I’d be curious to hear about your experience with Timex customer service if you return the watch because of the scratched crystal. I’ve heard horror stories about how hard it is to deal with them.
It was the dial that was scratches on mine. I just returned it within the return period and there wasn’t any issue. I didn’t necessarily mention the scratch, it was just something I was able to return within the 30 day period or whatever it was
I called Timex is when I accidentally order two of the same watches. The person told me to just download a return form and mail it back. I did that and they refunded my money. No issues issues.
Lovely looking watch. Wish you watch reviewers would learn how to wear a watch correctly, They go behind you're wrist knuckle, not on it, the crown shouldn't dig into the back of your hand when pushing you're hand back.
The singular form of indices is index, not indice. Indice is not a word. And the lug width is measured in millimeters not milliliters. One is a measure of length, the other is a measurement of volume.
@@theknightswatch people who can't take constructive criticism probably should'nt have a public UA-cam channel. And understanding the words you're using should be step one. You don't need to be a genius to understand that basic concept.
Great looking watch. But $450 for a Timex? Yikes. They need to work on their quality control before they charge that much. If it were in the $250-300 range, I'd be all over it though.
I’m in the same dilemma right now since they’re on sale for 25% off. Might just buy it anyway and return it if it has any egregious QC issues. Some small dust or little things are fine, but have seen a lot of big QC complaints about these watches

I didn’t think of the code comparison but ya maybe a little! It’s a cool watch and hopefully one day it’ll be made a little bit more perfected
Great work Timex

To be fair not terrible for 400 dollars but it definitely could be better
No, they should NOT have made the dial larger! It's perfect :-)

so that stone is red and not purple? It looks purple to me
@@Pfeiffer-fp2se definitely has tones of both in it. I would say leans red but not directly brick red or anything
@@theknightswatch Thanks for the reply! I ended up buying it during their recent sale for $330. It's my first automatic watch and I love the thing!
@@Pfeiffer-fp2se sweet enjoy it! Did you get the blue as well?
@@theknightswatch Thank you! But I ended up getting the black one.
450 bucks and more dust at dail as in my vacuum cleaner? Are they kidding me?
Looks very nice, although I find the bezel a little thick for a 38mm size watch. Does it decrease the readability of the watch?
Personally didn’t give me any issues. Thought it was very readable

It costs £475 in Scotland, which would be around 600+ dollars, very expensive fir A Timex watch.
@@146- and i bet it still tics super loud like every other timex too 😆
I was all ready to pull the trigger on this until I saw the gross QC issues you had.

I think the word you were looking for is “diminutive.” Not “dimunitive” (which isn’t actually a word).
