The watch looks very nice, although I find 41mm simply too large for a vintage-inspired dressy timepiece. And the price of 450$ looks a bit steep for what it is. Hamilton Khaki Field mechanical could be bought for similar amount and presents a much better value in my opinion.
@@MicroSoftner Muhammad Ali wore a tiny Cartier tank - at this point I think we can agree the choice of watch size is highly personal. A ham-wristed man should be able to opt for whatever size watch they choose.
I just picked up the blue dial with a 15% emailed discount offer by leaving it in my TIMEX cart for a few weeks. Discounts are not good for future appreciation values, however, TIMEX watches are not known to hold their value. $382.50
@@its_clean , I would not discount MIM. Ruger uses this to keep their costs down and I compete with one of their revolvers. It takes a beating and keeps on yeeting 😄
@@fullymechanical9055 I think it is cool Timex is using automatics and acrylic on a lot of vintage looking pieces, but I think sapphire would have helped justify the price on this one.
Fantastic looking piece. Thanks for the review, Ariel.

Make it 38mm and u got my money!
coming in august!
Kudos on the ruby contribution 👏.
Such a gorgeous watch. My only sadness is that I only wear casual clothes and would never have a chance to wear it 😭
Pretty good design. If only it was available in 38mm case.
the new 38mm version of the Giorgio Galli S1 Automatic will be available over on Timex’s website on December 17 for $450 USD.
I just looked on their website and it says it’s available now.
Dam buddy! , how small is your wrist lol

Beautiful watch, but the size is too big, imo.
a 38mm version is coming in autumn
I can’t wait for these to become available again!
They are now
Beautiful watch,nice clean dial
Nice watch... Why not 40 or 39mm?
there will be a 38mm later this year
I hear a 38 mm with sapphire might come out close to Christmas. Fingers crossed.
That would be perfect.
38mm would be perfect for this watch.
where did you read this?
I like a lot about this watch. Really if it just came with Sapphire crystal and cost perhaps $50 less, it would be a done deal for me.
Really? Fifty bucks is all that separates you from it?
@@mattdiliberto4967 he is cheap give a guy a break lol
Does Timex ship from within the EU ?
how do i get a hold of this watch? i'm in new zealand
Don't actually like the ruby on the dial. No sapphire crystal is also a deal breaker for me.
I’ve heard rumblings that the movement is distractingly loud in this watch. Maybe the case design augments the rotor noise? Any comment on that?
Timex makes incredibly loud watches particularly in the quartz lineup. Not sure why the automatic is so loud...
Make it 39mm!
38mm coming in august
Why so enormous?
41mm is perfect size.
Perfect for real men.
Very nice but 38mm would be perfect.
38mm coming in august
500 bucks and no sapphire.. nope
Has anyone experienced the crystal cracking? Where is this watch made?
What is the price in Indian Rupee and where will I get one?
he sure hyped up this watch didnt he
"Sophisticated injection molding process" to describe what is probably just MIM

Again no mention about the movement on their page which puts them in a line with mvmt & Co.
3:10- he tells you. A citizen miyota 9039
It also talks about it on the Timex website.
“No there isn’t any lume” what? Yes there is foo
What does Timex have against sapphire?
Cheaper to use acrylic/mineral I suppose, but I agree, sapphire is better most of the time.
@@fullymechanical9055 I think it is cool Timex is using automatics and acrylic on a lot of vintage looking pieces, but I think sapphire would have helped justify the price on this one.
You're spot on. At this price point sapphire would not be out of place. Most watches near the $500 mark have sapphire crystals.
Mineral is fine with me......at least it is not acrylic!!!
Too big, too expensive
If it was 38mm it would be grand. Too big for my taste.
Look😍
to be honest it is a boring watch to look at, the dial is so dull as I am looking at $35 watch
