The problem with this that it is slightly expensive and in the early game you want to save money
Then use dirt roads until you can upgrade them
You don’t have highways at the start
You really dont need this in the early game
I always start with this entrance. To solve its costs I always build only roundabout and later when I have money I run highway over it
If you wanted to use this early game use TM:PE and one way roads or normal roads
Roundabouts actually end up being one of the worst methods to deal with (heavy) traffic once the actual amount of traffic starts to increase. You could build this in your city but you’d absolutely need more than one interchange for your cims to get on the highway if you plan on having more than like 10,000 population
The roundabout entrance is perfect for beginners. I also have a videos showing you how to upgrade from that start into a highway

I’m new to the game and I had a 50k population and the roundabout and highway traffic was backed up the whole highway and roundabout lol, your so right
From my exp, if you set them up right and limit heavy traffic with road hiearchy and good public transportation, they can be very efficient even in cities as big as 70 000

Actually just place the road underneath the highway that runs parallel to it. Connect the ramps to that road. Run the city streets off of the bidirectional road under the highway.
This reminds me of simister island in Manchester, UK
great but expensive, a smaller version may be better, but cool design 👍

First things first, this is cities one, second of all, the highways are costy and locked behind milestones. Early cities one you make dirt roads all over the place, than once you get the money and unlock the milestones you upgrade them.

I do two roads and connect them at the end then roads coming off them that’s where I put the starting houses and shops
Don't forget to remove those dirt roads else the ai drivers might screw up your traffic

Upgrade them to tram tracks, if you want them
2 intersections too close to eachother will cause a lot of traffic problems especially if you dont design that block well. It might cause you to split and divert the entrance of the following area if you are planning to make that are high density. I would prefer a road where it is further down splitting in the middle of the city without roundabout.

I have that in City of MythicAntonio but with two-lane highways with next2 ramps instead of vanilla.

You don’t even have access to highways when you start so this can’t work it’s amazing when you’ve got them and need to improve your entrance

thats probably first "best" highway exit you posted that is not absolute dogshit. Still, calling roundabout with overpass best highway exit is not quite right, since its pretty expensive, cant support heavy traffic and takes up a lot of space. You will have to rebuilt it to something more efficient as soon as you start building industrial zones in the city, which makes this exit not quite optimal for begginging of the game
