- Right in the middle of Australia when a fault message comes up!
"UPDATE" It happened again a year later, this time I tried reverse gear first thanks to Ima-Good-Guy who suggested in the comments and it worked first time.

Shit, my Jeep is doing exactly this, i thought I needed a clutch, I'll try this and get back to you.
I can confirm that this does work, just did it in my 07 disco, but start in reverse, worked first try.
Great to hear it worked, I will try reverse first if it happens again. Was your saying hand brake fault also?

Hey sir how u doing I have a question were is the oil temperature sensor located on 2006 land rover Lr3
Hi, haven't done one myself but I believe there located in the side of the sump, you'll have to remove the bash plate under the car to see it and either drain the oil or be quick when you change it as it will be below the oil level. Did the fault codes oil temp sensor?

Hi, yes the car still drives but almost as if it's in a limp home mode, clutch feels like it's slipping until I get it to reset then drives perfect again
What does F on dash board mean transmission gear
Hi, my in a manual gearbox and haven't had an F problem but I've heard the F is something to do with the automatic transmission, its generally something simple like a bad engine oil temp sensor telling the auto that the engine oil is hot and to go into limited gears mode. If the check engine light comes on as well get the fault codes and that should tell you where to start.

All you're doing is relearning the gear locations, I have to do this even to motorcycles after quickshifter/gearbox/clutch repairs.
Yes maybe it's something like that but whatever it's doing it certainly fixes the problem, not only on the LCD readout but it must reset some sort of limp mode and drives perfect again. It basically feels like constant clutch slip otherwise.. Cheers
Should start with reverse till came R to the screen and you do 1 till 6 gear and swich off the engine ,restart the engine
