Man Jabba's Palace changed the game with pulling locations, what a breath of fresh air. I really want to make a Cloud City Incinerator deck work, but I"m not smart enough
Tosche Station was my weapon of choice for most LS decks for a long time; stack the deck with mains, start there and you can activate +4 to +6 from pretty early on, absolute game changer
Premiere Light Side: Obi-Wan's Hut Dark Side: Lars Moisture Farm A New Hope Light Side: Death Star Trench Dark Side: Death Star Hoth Light Side: Echo Base War Room Dark Side: 3rd Marker Dagobah Light Side: Dagobah System Dark Side: Executor Meditation Chamber Cloud City Light Side: Cloud Sector (Generic one, made more powerful by the fact that a lot of Dark Side decks don't always run starfighters as well a huge collection of matching pilots to choose from to increase force drains uncontested) Dark Side: Carbon Freezing Chamber (All too Easy is my jam) Jabba's Palace Light Side: Audience Chamber (Searching or Bo Shuda to ensure the safety of your aliens early game is underrated) Dark Side: Audience Chamber Endor Light Side: Back Door Dark Side: Endor System Special Edition Light Side: Toche' Station (Holy crap, this card is amazing early game. Especially if you can throw down an Obi-Wan or Luke there) Dark Side: Spaceport Docking Bay (lets my bounty hunters deploy to the enemy planet and get back to cash in their bounties off world without relying on them to play the docking bay/system first) Death Star II Light Side: Home One War Room Dark Side: Death Star II (I actually really like the 3 sectors/That Thing's Operational game mechanics, because it doesn't rely on the Light Side player putting 10 extra cards in their deck to attempt to blow it up, but also gives a massive bonus of force to the Dark Side player early)
Most macabre location? The moisture farm with Beru and Lars's burned skeletons. Yikes! 😮 (I actually think it funny in a way that Decipher went this far - different times)
Jabba's Palace changed the game for the better by adding the ability to pull locations. Also loved running light side Jundland wastes in a moisture farmer deck. You override the 6 ability requirement, can drain 5 if Ardon is on Tatooine with a Vaporator and Hydroponic Station deployed there. Great video.
Great video, loved the intro! I'm partial to space locations, since I really like the art on a lot of them. Some favorites of mine would be Aquarius, Kiffex (both sides), Eriadu, Fondor and Nal Hutta. Jundland Wastes is probably my favorite ground location, simply because back in the day that ability 6 "gotcha" was so great...
Another fun video. Liked the Post cards.Sad to hear only two videos left. I hope then for a season 3 soon. I was shocked to see my name drawn. Excited to open it with my brother the next time we play. Helping him get into the game. I'll be giving him the good cards if I get any! a few Favorite Locations: New Hope- Dejarik Hologameboard and Imperial Holotable even though they felt a little cheap if your opponent didn't have hologram cards to battle you. Otherwise I'd go Death Star and Yavin 4: Massassi Ruins Hoth- Wampa cave and Hoth Echo Med Lab to get the Bacta Tank running right away. Medical droids basically deploy for free each turn. Dagobah- Star Destroyer Docking bay to get most TIES out for free. I had so few Star Destroyers. I relied on TIES. Cloud City- Sentry tower to get out DS Lando
Sentry tower is a bit underrated card, thanks for the great comment, If you didnt see my other comments email me at fatttty@protonmail.com and my brother loves playing that dagobah star des. docking bay too! he plays tie squadrons there then blows the up in the astriod field, with the seinar fleet systems effect
Another informative and enjoyable video, Fatty. This is exactly the content I come here for. For best location for Dark Side, gotta go og Death Star. For Light Side, gotta go Rendezvous Point. Both are incredibly valuable for any space deck.
Nice topic. Locations are kind of forgettable, but we took them for granted. No other game has a better resource mechanic or movement, and they're all centered around location cards. Tatooine: Jabba's Palace was great. Really liked being able to set up a deck without an objective. Had a great deck in the Tatooine meta with Desert Landing Site/Combat Readiness/Jabba's Palace start, in an era where everyone played objectives and everyone played Prepared Defenses. Also, Dining Room deserves a mention for the light side text alone!
Gotta agree with the Tosche Station love. By turn one or two you could be generating 3 or 4 Force easily from that one location. Dark Side only has to occupy to cancel the game text, but it forces them to either divert resources or let you generate that extra Force.
As a kid opening packs hoping to pull Y-wings and other rebel ship cards, I hated getting location cards. I didnt even bother to sleeve them up. I do appreciate them now as I try to complete my sets. I think the best looking location cards are from Hoth or the Episode 1 scenes.
@fatty thank you for one more great video, It's a shame that there are only two episodes of this season left. I'll miss your SW:CCG videos sorely, they are so much fun! Concerning locations - I really like the Cloud City: Port Town District from the Special Edition. I still use it in my Cloud City decks: force drain +1, aliens power +1 and deploy -1. Perfect location for my Cloud City Troopers (with Trooper Assault of course) :)
THANKS For the great comment, i shouldnt be typing this in case who I am playing is reading.. but I am literally making that deck right now. with Sergeant Merril. should be cool combo,
@@fatty777 Don't forget about lift tubes. It would be nice to run only exterior CC sites (eg Downtown Plaza, maybe Upper Walkway) with Skiffs for reacts. I guess I've never seen those on Bespin. Memories... I used to combine my CC Troopers with "This Deal Is Getting Worse All The Time" Objective, Dark Deal and Cloud City Occupation. There is also that overpowered Reflections 3 Effect (They Must Never Again Leave This City), allowing free Executor deployment and TIE retrieval, but come on, who on their right mind would play that format.
@@JanSarnowski-zg8nj Yeah that Reflections effect is just crazy. Free Executor deploy to Bespin and one lost TIE from cloud City can go right to your hand, every turn. Some of those later sets cards are just crazy. I'm building a cloud city themed deck to play with my brother next week. I had to take They Must Never Again Leave this city out. It would just be too powerful! He just doesn't have the cards to combat that.
What? No love for the hologram locations? Of all the things that makes SWCGG the greatest SW card game of all time (and forever) it is the locations. It forces theme by separating out space, it brings one of the coolest aspects of the movies to life, and it the force activation/drain mechanic was so fascinating. All of this makes it the game so unique.
The Special Edition sites added so much to the game. My favorite are the docking bays for SE. Opponent locked you out of an area you don't have presence or a spy? Let a SE docking bay light you the way to most systems!
Ah yes, locations. Premiere - definitely Obi-Wan's Hut! A New Hope - I always liked the interior sandcrawler locations and the hologram locations. Hoth - Main Power Generators should've been 2 force and more battleground locations (I think 3rd marker is the only one?). Dagobah - I liked the two rare Executor sites and of course Dagobah itself. Cloud City - Agree on the light side lower corridor but also you missed the cloud city dining room! Jek is deploy -2! Also it's a good example of the wonkiness of separately exclusive light and dark locations. K-3PO, yeah kinda meh.
Glad to see Hoth: Main Power Generators, probably my favorite location mostly due to my first experiences going to tournaments was playing an attempt at an Echo Base Operations deck before I really had any clue what I was doing.
for sure. They tried to right the wrongs of worthless interrupt/effect heavy dagobah and cloud city The game honestly needs a side board for locations, the lack of location pull besides cookie cutter objectives really hurt strategy diversity. But also why Jabba's Palace dark side location is so fun, should have done that for every planet location... Like Yavin IV (system) Pull one battle ground yavin site each deploy phase.
Loved the non unique sites and making crazy systems work into decks with them. Dantooine Base Ops and Raltiir Ops are the ones I currently use with those.
We all need location to play, i remember having a fun docking bay deck in light, with fallen portal. I will add some docking bay in my list ^^ And for the bounty hunter, i just will add i little shoot during control phase with a repeating weapon and clean opponent side of the ground, that's a good point for the assassin droid ^^
One friend of mine had an annoying habit of always deploying Figrin D'an on the DS: Trash Compactor. Constant force drain for 1 + force retrieval through "wagers", I hated it. Maybe we misunderstood how the Trash compactor worked, what it actually meant "you may deploy here without presence". With hardly any good spies on the imperial side (and, up to Special Edition, none in my decks) it was impossible to smoke him out of there.
The Audience Chamber was always my favorite location. I'd like see a video on which boss character that could boost the power of aliens of the same species did the most work. Bossk did pretty well boosting the power of Trandoshans.
That intro was great!😂 Had to watch it twice! My partner loved it, too! She was cracking up. Seems to me that you might have been in on the creation of Jar Jar Binks... That text was a little TOO good.
I wish they hadn't done the force drain -1 on any of the 2-0 icon sites. Also, it would have been cool to not be able to cancel or modify opponents force drains at locations you play. Change up the risk reward on the force choke decks.
Surprised Docking Control Room 327 didn't get a mention, although it was from that two-player introductory game. One of the better ways of pulling locations before imperial arrest order and objectives
The Death Star will always be a personal favorite of mine, but for some reason, the light side never wants to come over to it! My least favorite site is the Death Star docking control room, however. Opponent get +2 force drain if you lose control? Never again
Did I miss it, or did you make it through the entire list without calling a single location a “Twix”? (From the old commercials, “two for me, none for you.”)
Gotten so used to no copyright music. That its almost shallow and capitalistic to have it. I like money. I like big butts. But your the only one who did it! The only UA-cam to have copyright music. Pretty cool. Howd that work did you lose your channel cause if strikes? :( that would be f

big fan of the generic sites myself adding ground sites to any system in the game was really neat
Sweet Intro! Make some more videos ASAP. The starwars ccg community needs you
Haha, "Your boss." I love it!
I played and bought during Hoth, and somehow I never knew K-3PO existed! Thanks!
Love the intro!! All your video’s are so entertaining!
Love the intro to this video! Always like rebel landing site as scouts a cheap to deploy.
Fondor: planet that built the Executor, and also hosts a tribe of flying serpent riders in a SW newspaper comic in the 80s, yep.
I love Jabba’s Palace. It’s an easy to understand set. Characters are the most interesting part of this game and Jabbas palace had this.

Dagobah Cave, Blockade Flagship Bridge for 2/0 being hard to get to, and the latter can be pulled with WMAOP. DS 3rd Marker for the reasons mentioned.

Audience chamber!
Favorite location: Jar Jar's Hutt - Jar Jar is power +10. If the opponent controls, Jar Jar is placed out of play
From here on out, it shall be commander Nana. Can't unhear that
Jabba's Palace made the gme so fun being able to pull locations and then start pulling all of the aliens and party at the audience chamber.
Commander Narra was killed in action and Luke was promoted to commander in his place.
Wish they had made Tatooine: Wioslea’s Spaceport Speeders shop.
Ah Kiffex, the cantina of the stars
Your arguments about Death Star 2’s gameplay are fair but for my mind it’s a top 5 card in the game in terms of picture, especially the gol version.
