My keys for objectives are thematic, versatile, get you playing things not otherwise played without the aid of the objective, and good enough to at least play for fun. For 'Mind What You Have Learned', it is my first light side tournament deck and i have it build at this time, in the office of my home, I love playing it, tracking destiny number, using it could be worse to reduce the lost... But one thing has change from the first time i build it: I don't train Luke anymore, I train the daughter of Skywalker, but i use supprise attack, and it's a winning condition in this deck, after test 5!
same here I always get beat down on Yavin 4... Yea most people think Daughter is better to train because then you can have Super Luke or Luke with saber running around, or premiere luke if you are going space
@@fatty777 For the jedi training deck, it's the case and after training the daughter, i use Leia with weapon when i put her back on table and it goes wild realy fast with all characters with build in weapon
This deal is getting worse all the time is one of my favorite ds decks to play. There are so many different ways to go with it. Walkers, AT-STs, Speeders, Strong characters holding down sites, weak characters and a quick flip. Especially once you could pull 2 cloud city sites it was versatile. Decent in space too.
Running "Getting worse" with exterior sites is a really nice idea. With CC Troopers reacting on Skiffs + maybe pulling East Platform and Spaceport:DB with Insurrection. One could argue that I'm not allowed do deploy Spaceport:DB on Bespin (a gas planet), but technically speaking I'd be deploying it on the Cloud City that by itself could have been running a spaceport, couldn't it? Me and my friends decided, as a "house rule", that it could ;)
At 5 minutes you say that "Force Drains may not be modified by opponent" does not include them cancelling your Force Drain bonuses?!? That... that cannot be correct, right? Apart from "A Gift" I'm struggling to think of ANY way the light side can modify Dark Side force drains. I went and checked the rules on this and it seems that it might be a confusion between the "cancel a force drain" part of the clarification between the two rules. Canceling a bonus to a force drain HAS to be modifying a force drain, right? The whole point of this objective is to make your Force Drains so crazy they're forced to come to Cloud City and fight you. Its literally from the movie that Darth Vader's actions on Cloud City prevent Luke from just sitting on Dagobah training. Please, someone if you can clarify this ruling please do.
Great question, seems like what you say makes sense! - when researching for this video I wanted to make 100% sure that what I said was right, so I asked on gemp, and that is correct. Canceling the modifiers is not "modifying" the force drain (For that to work it would have to say "Force Drains Modifiers May Not Be Canceled" hahaha). So This Deal is Getting Worse All The Time cancels things like... A Gift (like you said), -1 drains from the Operative objective, Dantooine base operations, Projection of a Skywalker. So sadly it doesnt completely allow you to do massive drains without counter, funny how sitting on dagobah and training does counter dark deal loll. but not cloud city occupation, fortunately Here is a quote from the Rules forum: Force Drains May Not Be Modified Or Canceled By Opponent - "May not be modified by opponent" prevents your opponent from utilizing any game text (whether declared or automatic) that would directly modify (add, subtract, multiply) your Force drain. See Force Drain Modifier for examples This text does not prevent your opponent from canceling or modifying your Force drain modifiers. Thus it will not prevent Great Warrior, Imperial Decree, The Planet It's Farthest From or A Bright Center To The Universe from working normally
@@fatty777 Oh dang. That's such a huge bombshell for me. I've been playing this deck wrong for decades. Makes it significantly worse! Why would you ever go to Cloud City to stop Dark Deal if you can just cancel the bonuses it gives? Seems to directly counter the whole point of the objective as well as what it was trying to simulate in the movie. Especially considering you only get that "can't be modified" bonus if you have an Imperial there. On the bright side, it makes my Jedi Training deck significantly stronger. Not that it needed it, constantly drawing 7 for every destiny.
Shame we never got a Kyle Katarn card as that card would straight up say "at the beginning of the battle phase your opponent's Sarlacc creature in play is lost". Auto counter to "I Shall Enjoy Watching You Die". Just saying.... 🤷
Rescue the Princess is dumb. With the amount of special rules involved, is it even possible to do? You cannot deploy the Light Side Death Star unless Death Star Plans are completed, but the objective says you cannot deploy the Death Star Plans. So is this even possible? The rules all seem to contradict themselves. Plus you need an interrupt or effect to rescue Leia making it even more ridiculous. Please share some insight on this complicated objective.
Yes you will not be able to deploy the Light Side Death Star SYSTEM location.. That location is basically if LS wants to destroy the Death star. which for this deck, would be a lot of extra cards, and not really feasible. However, you can always deploy other LS death star sites,. If you want to destroy the death star just play that other objective The reason you cant play death star plans, is because then people wouldnt play this deck to rescue the princess, they would just set up easy fast death star plans, retrieving 10+ force every 2 turns (using a turbo lift) And yes.. you need a stupid card to release Leia, they really didnt think prisoner rules through until later (which then releasing captives was just an option on each prison location), But you can use 8D8, and turbo lift him over. most people do that
@@fatty777 So you have to hope that your opponent plays the Death Star? If you played this objective, then why would your opponent even bother deploying the Death Star as a starting location?

Universe from working normally
Another 10/10 intro lmaooooo
It was nuts! Great song, great clips, great cards, great editing. Off the rails!
❤❤❤❤ 🎉
Shame we never got a Kyle Katarn card as that card would straight up say "at the beginning of the battle phase your opponent's Sarlacc creature in play is lost". Auto counter to "I Shall Enjoy Watching You Die". Just saying.... 🤷
haha would be amazing
Though objectives speed up the game, it is prohibitive because there is SO much text to read.
you won a starter deck! email me at: fatttty@protonmail.com
I won!
If you want to destroy the death star just play that other objective
The reason you cant play death star plans, is because then people wouldnt play this deck to rescue the princess, they would just set up easy fast death star plans, retrieving 10+ force every 2 turns (using a turbo lift)
And yes.. you need a stupid card to release Leia, they really didnt think prisoner rules through until later (which then releasing captives was just an option on each prison location), But you can use 8D8, and turbo lift him over. most people do that
@@fatty777 So you have to hope that your opponent plays the Death Star? If you played this objective, then why would your opponent even bother deploying the Death Star as a starting location?
@@mopbrothers you dont need to deploy systems to deploy their planet/mobile site locations.
2 giveaways. Wow
Hell yeah brother. Ops were a plague when released so dishonorable mention to those objectives
they are so silly, and OP, OP OPS
