- I’ve just added this 86” LG NanoCell TV to my gaming setup. The 86NANO91. Thanks to LG for sponsoring.
If you saw my Instagram stories last month, you’ll have seen that I received an 86” TV from LG, it’s the new 2020 model which is fully next gen ready (4K, HDMI 2.1, 120hz) and looks incredible. In this video I’m showing you a quick install, some PlayStation gaming, movies and the pros and cons. It's one big tv which is awesome for watching movies.

This was a fantastic review! I am such a huge fan of LG and last year I bought a nanocell 4k TV from LG. I am not disappointed. One of the best purchases in the last couple of years. Keep up the awesome work!

BIG TV - Great video. It actually looks perfect in your room. You always think a TV is too big, then you get used to it and can't go back. I still remember thinking 27" TVs we're huge, then 36" (CRTs) then 60'", then 70". I like those immersive experiences (like the movie theaters where the screen is pretty much the width of the room). So something that immerses you, takes up your field of vision without having to move your head seems perfect (especially for movies).
I told her that too. It's a lot of money, but a lot of inches.

Solid choice mate! Love it. I had a 130" projection in my games room and in all honesty (despite working in the trade and having a decent 3000k unit) the brightness just didn't cut it for gaming. Add to add that the display size was so big you couldn't actually see all the HUD info in games in direct view or peripheral so needed a head shift. I swapped it out when the bulb dropped to 70% and blamed that for why I sucked at crucible for a Sammy Q70 and it was the right decision for sure. Great for gaming and movie nights and some cool smart features too. Only problem I have now is my lounge TV has size envy 🤣
Good review. I bought the same 86” one for the LR. I would have spent $1000 less on the outgoing 80 series, but I didn’t want to wall mount or change my current entertainment center. Yes, I bought it for the curved stand as the others have the feet that are too wide. My 60 year old eyes can’t really see much difference in the viewing, other than the size. 86” seems normal sized now. I just bought the latest 86” version and wall mounted it in the MBR since that’s where I actually watch it the most. BIG TV!

I have a small living room with 55' LG LED, 1 generation earlier than this one with almost smiliar specs and I use it pretty much for every thing, from TV to movies to games and screen sharing and its my greatest experience. I totally love your setup and Thumbs up...
Just the right size for you. i have 65" LG in my livingroom from about 2,20m away and it's just great! Bedroom has Epson projector and 108" fixed screen from 3,30m watching distance and very watchable. You get used to big screens pretty fast, about 2-3 days and they don't look too big anymore, i don't even think there is "too big screen". :)
How would you recommend lg a13 oled vs sony x85j, in my country they arw the same price

@@pioneer2321 try and buy another TV at this size and it'll show your wallet true colors lol. People want perfection but don't want to pay for it. This TV is very well worth the price and all the features included you can't find in another TV at this price.

Big TV is always a great trigger for my senses.
Big TV - Just picked up my 86 inch a few months ago - granted its the 2022 model, but all you've mentioned is my exact experience with this LG tv. I've also owned a few other LG models, and also own a smaller Oled, but once you get used to the size theres no going back- especially for gaming on my series x. I've tried to move closer alot of times to look for imperfections, but you really have to nitpick to find fault with it - I can't find any. And yes, pictures and videos of this tv don't do it justice - you have to personally experience this. Thanx for the content - enjoy it as always!
I just bought the Nanocell 91 55 hooked to a Seriex X. All the boxes (your tv supports 4k, 120hz etc etc) are all checked. This tv got everything. Then the Image is absolute class, i saw it side by side to the Sony X90J. For me it was Nanocell who was the winner, the colors "popped". And i just saw Our Planet on Netflix which supports ATMOS vision and Dolby Audio, and it looked gorgeous.

Big TV gotta LG 70" UHD rn with Ps5 works great so far from what I had.. gotta have obtain the 2.1 HDMI though if its worth it. It did also help me understand why I'm having issue with gaming HDR too! So amazing and I'll stay tuned for more!

I went with the 75" Nano91 and it fit perfect in my room, went from a 55"; Movies to watch , TRON and Avatar, loved it.
Are the black levels and color as good as shown in the video or is it just because of the bias lighting?

Wow! When I first saw it on your insta I thought it looked way to big for the space, but now I see it more, and now that you have opened up the space, it is actually looking really good - I know others have mentioned it, but I do think it would be better wall mounted (although you probably have to get some steel reinforcements in your wall!) - that would allow you to push your cabinet back against the wall again (i think i notice you've had to pull it away a bit to fit it on?)
EDIT: Just seen 10:10 that you still have the previous one on the wall! Guess its good to have a fall back available!

OLED is the way to go. That is what I have. A 65 inch and it's perfect.

New tv’s always look too big but it’s surprising just how quickly you acclimatise to them! All that info about the tech specs and all my wife could comment on was how nice the grey on your walls is lol! Oh yeah...BIG TV 👍

Big TV! Love it! I switched my 50" to a 75". Looks just as ridiculous in my setup but now I cant switch to the more room appropriate 65"!

@@SpawnPoiint yup. It definitely doesn’t fit and I had initially requested a return. After a few days with the 75” I cancelled the return and kept it!

I wanted 65in, but when I got the dimensions on the wall it was to Big. The perfect size is 55in, your eys will thank you.
p.s. I in the end have got a 58in and 4K in thet size you can see the pixsels when you get like 2feat in front. And some one will tell you I dont watche a TV frome 2feat...,, and thets true, but if you don t watche all on 4K resolution you will get a more blure screan... like 1080p you can see the upscaling in the picture.
On the topic back, I got the 58in and thous 3in make a big diferenc. I would chaneg the TV but it only was in 50,58,65in versions. In the end I keppt it, but it s not so plesent fore like watching fore 5-6h I moved it up on the wall to get a litel more distinc + have tilted it down.
Now I got usade to it, but 55in is the size you can relax and don t have to move your neck or eyse...

Just discovered your channel and as a tv fan I’m very happy. I feel that if the 86” was on a lower stand it wouldn’t of felt so jarring in the room. Just my two cents. I’m on the hunt for a tv for my office/gaming/family room. I’m very interested in the LG 77” OLED. Great content.

Dilemma....."OLEDCX65" for £1800 or "75 inch Nanocell and a PS5 plus a new Tannoy subwoofer", again around £1800. What a dilemma! What do you think? Been deliberating over this TV thing now for months, still can't make my mind up! Any thought would be helpful, thanks :-)

Been watching your videos for over a year now and i must say it has really helped and occupied me in some very lonely days and they are good and educative as well, also I’m in Ghana and will really like to have a big tv in my living room as I can not truly afford one myself.
Watch Blade Runner 2049. The HD version is insane by itself but the 4k hdr is premium on this movie. So clean

I went with a huge screen rather than projector for my gaming room. So I know exactly how you feel, first time I watched I had to stop my game as I was literally in shock lol

@@EAprima the price is insane here to, I was so lucky I could get one 65" for a good price even though it's not LG but I still saved 40% it doesn't have hdmi 2.1 but I don't mind I will go for next gen hdmi 2.1 when they fix the issues with the receiver so I can get atmos sound with the hdmi 2.1 but keeps my old one with hdmi 2.0 for now
My tv HDMI port isnt 2.1 but it's 2.0 you think it'll work if I will buy an HDMI cable 2.1? To get more fps.
@@ashbinx no but you can still get 120 hz 1080p through 2.0 but not 4k the game run better if your tv support it and the game runs it on the next gen
@@darkknightforU Well, that's sad considering I will buy ps5 next year that means I won't get full experience of the console and not a lot of people can't afford a high end tv to get that experience with their new consoles or pc gaming.

It's worth saying if you buy a large TV cabinet and intend to stand the TV on it, you're advised to secure it to the wall with a bracket/drill holes/wall plugs/screws because of the risk of it tipping over.

It sucks compared to the oled cx but it definitely the best led tv out there i Ordered one nano cell as well so yeah for the buck it does the trick

Amazing TV! Any space movie blockbuster would be epic to watch on this, like 'Gravity', 'Star Wars' , 'Star Trek' , 'Alien' , etc. imagine all the details you may have missed on smaller TVs, now on this one! Pure Cinema!
