  • In this video I go over setting up AOVs as well as how to utilize them in After Effects along with some of the most common uses. Several effects are used to show some of the flexibility and options when doing basic composting.

This was an incredible and detailed explanation. Everyone else always skips over emission and AO. Thank you for saving my renders!!!

Im still beginner in redshift, help me) I need export just alpha matte for some object from my scene (im find analog Arnold object mask). I don't need these incomprehensible puzzles of only 3 objects, I don't need red blue and green colors. For example, I need to display quickly (so as not to re-render the entire scene) an unlimited number of masks for objects! Please tell me how to do it (for example, to replace the screen in devices)?

Try using a simple choker in AE.

I notice you are using multiple different GPU's, different series. Can you share your experience with it? I use all the same because of Memory and maory clock.

I have had no major issues. What I usually do is disable my display GPU for Redshift. This lets me work while rendering and also allows other programs (AE, Photoshop, etc.) to have a GPU to use.

@@BTB3D I was an octane user, octane was limited to the speed of your weakest GPU. It's usles to have them all different. I assume this is not an issue with Redshift.

@@MegaBexon It isn't useless to have different GPUs in Octane, but if one of your cards has a lot less vram that is when you run into problems. I was a long time Octane user, but the stability was always terrible for me. As for Redshift, it doesn't have the same vram limitation.

@@BTB3D it's also a speed of VRAM affecting it?
I have no one to talk to about this stuff.
Planning to buy a new PC but all the new motherboards have up to 2 GPU's support with complete 16 lines. I might think about making a team reamder option with a 2 PC.

@@MegaBexon The speed of the ram should be minimal, I suspect its more on the number of Pcie lanes, but the difference between 8x and 16x isn't a big deal either. I haven' tried Redshift with Team Render, but keep in mind it will have to send your project/extures across your network with 2 computers.
