One of the things we don't realize as human beings is, that we have lost our sense of individuality, the purpose of our political and social systems (in developed countries) is to force us to become part of a collective system of thought where individuals do no exist. I'm a big follower of Jordan Peterson a great Canadian thinker and clinical psychologist who has been ostracized by Canadian society (Liberal minds of course) so you are not alone, you have made the right decision you are now in a place where your opinions are heard and respected a place of hope.
