During its ABC airing in 1989, they left Peter’s line, “Let’s show this prehistoric b*tch how we do things downtown.” unedited. Why’d they leave it like that?

Does anyone remember the commercial where Johnny drops outta school to work to get a hotrod and at the end it goes "the car doesn't work anymore and without a highschool diploma neither does Johnny" lol..
