Channel 80something
Приєднався 16 лис 2010
Fueled by memories and musty videotapes, this channel aims to preserve and celebrate the television of the VCR Generation. I've spent nearly two decades getting my nostalgic fix by hoarding VHS (and Beta!) found at yard sales, flea markets, auctions and thrift stores -- and I'll now be sharing my best finds with the rest of the universe.
I have a particular affinity for the local television I grew up with in my home state of West Virginia. To further chronicle my findings from the Mountain State or to see how you can help me in my quest, check out www.rewindWV.com!

This actually helped me learn to eat slower in 2024
Does anyone remember the commercial where Johnny drops outta school to work to get a hotrod and at the end it goes "the car doesn't work anymore and without a highschool diploma neither does Johnny" lol..
Still looking for the one commercial where Johnny drops outta school to work to buy a hotrod. At the end the guy goes "the car doesn't work anymore, and without a highschool diploma, neither does Johnny"..
Why does she look like Asian Dora
That's James Hampton--Caretaker in the original The Longest Yard--in that Honda tractor ad, btw.
All Procter and Gamble ads
This commercial, and the fact that at 3 years old my mom shoved a tablespoon of miracle wip in my mouth saying "it's good you'll like it" is the reason I like things plain
"Luther Vandross is dead." "And? What's your point?"
I hanker for a hunk of that goberment cheese 🎉
It is 3:30 in the morning where I am and I am really tired!! Lol
Thanks

When he’s dickin a hoedown? And his boots kinda slow down? Weird what kids used to see / hear on tee vee
Ok, Louis, I won't drown my food.
1980. WOW! I was turning 9 that summer. They had a bunch of these kind of ads on back then. On the cartoon stations and PBS...
Aka Sexual Abuse which is very serious in the family
Funny, since YT wasn't a big thing like it is now in the mid 2000s, also the fact he was in bad health; the OG VA didn't remember this all too well
Luther Vandross has a cool and incredible singing voice to do those ABC Saturday morning PSAs. Watched them every Saturday morning in the 80's.

Growing up as a kid in the 1970s-80s, I saw this PSA on Saturday mornings. This was not a problem for me because my family was dirt poor. We could hardly afford groceries. Hunger was a constant companion. More than just a case of getting the munchies, I outright starved. Many times there was little or just no food in the house. Our fridge would have more empty space in it than food. 3 meals a day literally didn't exist in my home. I was lucky to get 2 meals a day. Some days the only meal I had was the free lunch they fed me at school. So, it wasn't a problem for me of getting the munchies when I wasn't hungry and getting fat. I couldnt do anything to satiate my hunger, at least not for long periods of time. As a result, I remained a skinny kid.
I actually love these, teaching kids to think practically about things that seem awful at first but aren't that bad once you think rationally. Even nowadays a lot of adults would just attempt to break a window or something.
There really isn't anything like 60s/70s Seusslikes
0:13 Yo Rice is COOKIN
They should make a PSA about how kids get the remote control sticky with their citrus-covered hands
I swear I had the same recording on vhs when I was 7. Watching this brings my childhood back in Charleston.
Is this and the Physical,Magical Mystery Trip Through Little Red's Head on DVD? I just love Timer(voiced by Lennie Weinrib).
We were lucky to get something like this once a year. The 1970s were not all that fun. There's a reason the people on "That 70s Show" are shown as being so thin.
My childhood. It was a very good time when we actually had cheese in the house.
Computer Whiz is not a job.
I blame my love for cheese (and now heart disease) on this Watched it too much as a kid. Now 61 😂
LEGEND!
I liked that his hat goes flaccid when he's worn out
Careful you drink too much you’ll die 😂

I’m so glad this is captured on UA-cam because I need to show this to some folks at work who are fearing the Future Blob!

Some call it trail mix, but for Gen X it will always he nutty gritty. Right after I make myself a big bowl they’re gonna tell em to watch out for the munchies and I’ll throw it all in the trash.
Willie survive reminds of British animation from the same era.
TMS animation always rocks, no matter if commisioned or domestically back in Tokyo. 😀
