Can't believe how they turned Slimer into something that is actually dangerous. Muncher has the same body type but instead of sliming people, he spits/shoots shards of metal like a Gatling gun. I'm liking how the movie is heading the more serious route while keeping comedy as a factor. Much appreciated for not messing with the original story from the first two movies.

Actually the real fact about Slimer he will eat anything on his way (including humans) but since it was PG12+ so yeah i think they didn't add it. Also Muncher was can munch up some metals and so on so yeah much more hard to catch and strong one than Slimer
That was the secret of the first film. They weren’t prioritizing comedy, they were telling a story and they treated the story seriously. The second one, they didn’t try anything really new and they tried to prioritize the comedic scenes.
Great video..! I was thinking the exact same after watching the film a few times. Waiting for the film for so long, I’ve watched each trailer so many times that I noticed these changes..watching the film again, I can see parts of the film where bits have bee shortened or cut down… we can only hope for a directors/extended cut.
Thank you! 🙏 I think Jason Reitman’s recently said that he’s not a fan of directors cuts/extended versions, but I suspect we’ll have a fair few deleted scenes on the Blu-ray release!
The road cracking was in the movie.
I’ll have to double check next time I watch it. Am sure I kept an eye out last time, but will take a look. 👍

I’m personally glad they cut the scene with the streets getting ripped up.
The jury’s still out on that one. I’ve had a couple of people tell me that’s still in the movie, so I might’ve got it wrong. Am going to check on my next visit 😉
truthfully I would have prefered the purple proton stream rather than the default blue stream, as it was technically an "upgraded" version of the proton pack so it being purple would indicate it was for powerful as in the final battle phebe vs gozer, when gozer was able to defeat the 3 Original Ghostbusters crossing the streams and sending them flying into ecto 1, the upgraded version was able to go toe to toe with gozer until she united with the 3 ghostbusters
Number 4 for trailer to film is probably also because the the steams from the first film had a purple hue at times.

Number 6. is false, i went to see it for the second time again, it was still in the movie, what seems to have been changed is a scene from the “podcast level up” promotional video where phoebe spins while holding the pke, it seems to have been replaced with a shot of her standing still and turning around, then turning back around and
walking out the door

Absolutely loved this movie..can't wait until it's out on blu ray ...it was great sitting in the cinema watching just a fun emotional movie without someone's politics being rammed down your throat..something that has ruined so many movies and franchises as of late ..an absolute gem
I actually prefer Janine in the cut takes. She seemed a lot warmer/friendly than she did in the final cut.
Then, how would she resemble Egon? Egon was the very same. Making her like other girls is inconsistent.

I think the green light burst coming from the mine gave people Ghostbusters 2016 vibes so they changed it.
Yeah I think it was also so people suspect gozer less because there terror dogs color was orange with pink but they made it green I guess to keep spoilers away or something.
I misread what you wrote to say that it was actually the team for Ghostbusters 2016 down in the mine or perhaps the evil, destructive ghosts of them and thus the initial use of it was subtle shade at that movie to let everyone know, we are taking this franchise back.
How did they leave out the hardware store guys scene? That looked interesting. Also this movie needed one more ghost scene maybe in the school somewhere would have made it a way better movie

Can you figure out what’s up with the Walmart Dog encounter? Between the trailers and movie, we had “Hey Bud...” “Hey...” and him saying nothing. Also one take had him throwing the ice cream at it. I can’t remember which version made the final film.
I think from what I can remember we got the “Hey Bud…” and the ice cream bouncing off the Terror Dog before it gave chase.
Do you guys really think Janine could be the mom/grandmother?
No.. I don’t think so otherwise there would have been recognition from Callie when they met at the house… I think everyone thought so at first from the trailer, but we’ve no information about the mother at all..
@@PopularTripeNick Some fanfics have her put up for adoption or raised by someone else as part of Egon (and Janine's) plan to keep her safe from what he was doing, thus she never knew her parents, only that she'd been adopted.
Janine should have been their grandma. Would have been nice to know she ended up with him.
Would of been good to see more ghosts causing trouble in town only skeleton miner and eyeball for 5 secs each!

Yea there is some missing scenes that would explain some stuff like how phoebe got the popcorns, and the deserted police station (they said the scene were filmed but never made it to the final cut)
The thing of the bags being taken to the car was in the movie tho????? Also, the street cracking was in the final film but seemed to mysteriously get fixed after Gozer arrived, as if Gozer's arrival fused the streets back together. I legitimately remember those being in the movie, and I watched it day 1 at my theater
They should have left the purple effect in on the one pheobe was working on, to show that it was somehow modified or improved since it made a difference in the final fight
Or maybe the purple was less efficient energy. Red light generally constitutes less efficiency than blue. Since purple would indicate a shift from blue towards red, it would likely be less efficient. Additionally, it's good to remember that the equipment was sitting around, gathering dust for several decades. When Phoebe repaired it, she may have had some help from the ghost of her grandfather, but while she's (potentially) just as smart as he is/was, she doesn't have the training/experience he did back when he invented the things.
It's funny that deleted scenes end up in trailers.
Usually cut in the edit to keep the flow of the movie I guess. Some of these trailers come along over a year before final cut.
Man, I wished they kept the scene of Trevor fixing up the Ecto-1, it would've made more sense as to why he's fixing it instead of a more "normal" car and in the movie it looks like he fixes it in a day, but with the scene it shows him working on it for some days
I think the difference in the proton stream was due to the effects not being finished. Once again, I THINK.
Yeah, I agree, I think the same. CGI etc often not completely rendered when the initial trailers hit. Same with the colour grading etc.
The green glow from the trap had many fans thinking it was Slimer.

Thank you! 🙏 That rendition of the theme tune was part of the trailer that I got the footage from. As far as I know it hasn’t been released yet. Hopefully it will come through at some point.
A ton of these can be solved easily. I really believe in terms of the color changes and stuff that the earlier stuff wasn't final, because in later trailers and even the movie the lighting is more bright and colorful. There was obviously a lighting re-edit or it just wasn't done in the earlier trailer. Keep in mind also that this movie was delayed so they likely changed a ton of stuff with all that extra time.
