This was so helpful to me. I’m having a hard time finding Christian unmedicated birth stories, so this was an amazing find for me. My husband and I just recently decided that the Lord is calling me to have my baby unmedicated. My 1st one was with an epidural 2 years ago and I’m 28 weeks with this one. Trying to lean into God and trusting in Him through all this anxiety and the suffering I will go through, it’s really nice to hear a birth story from a Christian perspective to help me❤️
Yes, I found it hard to find Christian birth stories too. So glad that my story could be an encouragement in some way to you. If you feel God nudging your heart like He was doing to mine, there will be amazing things to learn about Him through that portal of growth. Saying a prayer now for you and your husband for wisdom and equipping for the journey and of course for the precious baby in your womb, what a gift ❤
So encouraging! The bison story is really helpful and I had awful back labor as well as front and rectal labor this last labor and I got really scared and I know it worsened my pain. I wish I had told my nurses to encourage me into other positions if it was becoming intolerable. I ended up needing pitocin and an epidural to get me fully dilated. I was in the hospital 24 hours before I had him not to mention early labor for 16 hours prior. My first was an induction turned c section so I was just happy to have a vbac so I knew I could do a vaginal birth and that my first wasn't because I physically was unable but I have not reached my goal of unmedicated/completely natural. I think the note was also helpful for your labor because of the hormones released thinking about Sunny as you wrote her a sweet letter. I appreciate all you shared because I'm hoping next time I'm in labor to recall these things and help my labor along! So glad it was all you hoped for! Please share baby #5! Can't wait 😀🤗
Ahh that is the best news! You have got this! So excited for you!!! Praying for a sweet worshipful birth! My 5 ways to stay calm through labor video may be helpful too. I tried to make it a Part 2 to this video. Would love to know how it goes for you ❤❤❤

There were times when I heard Christ speaking to me about surrender+ being a witness...in thee most painful seeming experiences. Í actually once surpassed thee mental hurdle of pain + it brought me euphoria+ deep relaxation in nature. Fear is thee mind not wanting to be present with thee body to me. Being a first time mom this May I feel like all of my pain has led me to be prepared for this + it has thee best reward. I usually feel people speaking about Christ to prove themselves, but I feel thee connection in your words to the conscious part of thee energy that comes in visions + hearing+ other ways for other people.
Absolutely love this, Lana! I'm not a mama yet but preparing for a family and so inspired to hear your encouragement of this amazing experience! What a gift to share with women who are sadly told by society that it has to be different. Thanks for sharing, sister 💛
Thank you for sharing! I am 18 weeks pregnant with my first, and am trying to find the balance between giving everything to the Lord but also not being ignorant with preparation and learning what i can ❤ people make birth sound so scary and traumatic, and it is difficult with your first because you dont know what exactly to expect besides some kind of pain 😅
New subscriber ❤️ I am young and not planning on having kids any time soon but I love watching these types of videos, but the more I've watched them, the more fear I have of possibly giving birth one day because some woman make it seem like it will be torture.... It was so insightful to hear you perspective and to see someone actually give their birth to God ! We minimize God In our minds if we think He won't be with us through all aspects of life, even birth ❤️
Yes, I agree there is so much fear out there, but God has always showed up BIG in my labors and I think that is proof that He is always there to give the grace needed in the moment we need it. Makes me think of all the "what-ifs" I struggle with and there is no grace for those things because they are not really happening, but when we do hit those challenging moments in life-boom He meets us with what we need when we need it. hahaha just preaching to myself this morning. Thank you for subscribing and for sharing how you were encouraged. That encourages me ❤️

Ah so happy to share ❤️
One of things I want to try to tell myself during labor is that I may be in pain, but Im not suffering. Pain is normal and natural.
Yes and that it is a working pain, not a hurting pain. Your body and baby are working hard ❤ Sending love and prayers to you for birth
