The speed at which Quicksilver accelerates and moves are so powerful he is basically untouchable as long as hjs feet touche a surface. Unfortunately, he got taken out of the plot quickly otherwise the movie would have just stopped

The force of the blasts would create recoil that Cyclops would have to compensate for. Having to do so for different magnitudes of blasts from different positions and angles changes the technique of each shot. So it's not as easy as simply looking at someone. The firing portion also has to happen
I don't think that's something that ever occurred in the comics. That there was any kind of recoil with his optic blasts. His eyes are literally portals to another dimension that when opened release an energy blast.
The storyline can be done well in a movie. The cartoon did a good job with it. The problem is that Fox puts no care whatsoever into the character development or continuity of these characters, so it never feels like it’s properly done. When Marvel eventually does X-Men films, I can see them doing a good job of building up to this storyline and doing it justice.

apocalypse also was able to increase his power though. that was not a natural state magneto was in. His power was amplified for being a horseman. However yes lifting the stadium is one he can actually do.
If he upgraded Magneto at all. When he upgrades Storm, her hair turns white. When he upgrades wing-dude whose name no one cares about, his wings turn to steel. Magneto doesn't change at all. Further, he calls it 'your own strength' which suggests that Magneto could tap into the Earth's field already, and just didn't realize it.

Xavier manipulated Jean Grey in The Last Stand, and wiped her memories. In the flashbacks to the past. In that movie it was explained he did it to protect Jean.
Why did they have it in this film that Xavier put mental blocks in Jean? I thought the whole point was supposed to be that McAvoy-Charles learned from the mistakes of Stewart-Charles in Days of Future Past and subtly made the future better; one of those ways being that he didn't resort to mental blocks, as shown in X-Men: Apocalypse.
There's established precedent in the comics where other potential hosts had and controlled limited portions of the Phoenix Force before ever getting possessed by the full entity (Xorn, Rachel Summers, Hope Summers, The Phoenix Force Five, and the Stepford Cuckoos just to name a few), so I don't see that as a problem. But I can see how people who aren't big comic readers might see that as a continuity error.
It's best to think of Days of Future Past as the ending to this series and Logan as the afterword to the series. ... and ignore Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix, ... and look at Deadpool as side stories that somehow take place in between First Class and X1.

New magneto once lifted a stadium in Days of Future Past.
He also nearly ended the planet by destroying every metallic structure on Earth, but it's forgivable if you don't remember because it was in Apocalypse.
apocalypse also was able to increase his power though. that was not a natural state magneto was in. His power was amplified for being a horseman. However yes lifting the stadium is one he can actually do.
I'd argue that the power upgrades that apocalypse gave were permanent other wise storm would have just turned back into her weak version.
If he upgraded Magneto at all. When he upgrades Storm, her hair turns white. When he upgrades wing-dude whose name no one cares about, his wings turn to steel. Magneto doesn't change at all. Further, he calls it 'your own strength' which suggests that Magneto could tap into the Earth's field already, and just didn't realize it.
He didn't upgrade magneto though, he just showed him that if he concentrated he would be able to feel the earth's entire electromagnetic field.

Xavier manipulated Jean Grey in The Last Stand, and wiped her memories. In the flashbacks to the past. In that movie it was explained he did it to protect Jean.
Why did they have it in this film that Xavier put mental blocks in Jean? I thought the whole point was supposed to be that McAvoy-Charles learned from the mistakes of Stewart-Charles in Days of Future Past and subtly made the future better; one of those ways being that he didn't resort to mental blocks, as shown in X-Men: Apocalypse.
Basically not actual "Dark Phoenix" story & OVERALL LAME AF. Another "whimper end" to a franchise (that probably get rebooted in worse version).
so no one is going to talk about how she defeated apocalypse by using the fenix force? she already had it, so this whole origin story is irrelevant.
There's established precedent in the comics where other potential hosts had and controlled limited portions of the Phoenix Force before ever getting possessed by the full entity (Xorn, Rachel Summers, Hope Summers, The Phoenix Force Five, and the Stepford Cuckoos just to name a few), so I don't see that as a problem. But I can see how people who aren't big comic readers might see that as a continuity error.

How big/thick was this spike thing that killed mystique? And also how where did it hit?
I ask this, because I remember in the first xmen film mystique gets stabbed all the way by wolverines claws just below the abdomen and she survived that.
She got impaled in multiple places the back, chest area went all the way through and she died almost instantly
