    As someone who is struggling with insulin resistance this was helpful on expanding (and reinforcing) what I know. The only problem is my willpower.

      Have you tried doing 3 10 minute walks a day? Stan Efferding swears by it

    MUFAs promote insulin sensitivity whereas SFAs promote glucose sparing (higher fasting blood glucose). Keeping MUFAs and SFAs in somewhat balance help maintain a normal fbg

    My problem with keto is the lack of fiber - whole organic fruits, vegetables, potatoes and whole grains provide tons of vitamins and minerals and FIBER we need. Its not just all about the metabolism and fat... i believe fiber and nutrients are equally important.

      Ketogenic diet is not a carnivore diet, you can eat all the legumes you want except the very starchy ones. Also fruit with low sugar content. Also meat has a ton of vitamins and minerals!
