WHY ASK FOR A COACH IF YOU ARENT GOING TO LISTEN TO A SINGLE THING YOUR COACH SAYS
Yeah that was the main issue imo, well can't blame the guy I was like this too in my driving lessons for the first few lessons I didn't understand the logic behind some of the stuff the teacher told me so i rebelled a bit.
@@kogami-masterofcoin9932 people who go farther in life are the one that don't rebel at basics. Kinda like in the military, you just soak everything in, because if you have a mentor there is a reason and 99% of the time he knows better; at least for the basics. Once you reach intermediate/advanced level you can start questioning and you should because now you are refining your understanding and basics and have a good grasp to deserve to "not listen and do differently"
It's all about swallowing your pride and realizing that it's possible for someone to know more about something than you do, even though you feel solid.
@@enthra1728 it's a video game that shouldn't be taken this seriously
@@kulio1214 Well, in this day it's honestly something take seriously. Gaming isn't just for fun anymore, it's becoming a large scale sport.
"The intent leading up to it is bad and the intent is something that's going to happen over hundreds of games. It doesn't matter about the results in the moment, it's about how you arrive at the results."
inspirational qoute going on here
can someone explain this? thank you
@@JudeYang05 yeah he's basically saying the riven was making bad decisions and your decision making gets better with hundreds of games and even if in that moment you did good somehow what you tried to do was bad.
@@alexriley4388 thank you!
A lot of players don't understand the basic fundamental: trades become more advantageous the more creeps you have and the closer your opponent is to said creeps. That's why LS was trying to get him to build up two waves with a slow push so he can freely obliterate the third wave and get a safe back. By destroying the third wave quickly, the next wave would've been too far and the current wave would've been too massive for the Kennen to attempt a freeze. Kennen also wouldn't have been able to hit Riven while he hard shoved the third wave because there would've have been too many caster minions hitting Kennen. But since Riven took his sweet time, Kennen only had to delay the current wave briefly in order to freeze it which forces the RIven to stay and try to break it, which in turn opens the Riven up to ganks.
Screenshotting this comment so I can practice it later. Thank you for the knowledge brother

@BlueCherryX most riven players are bad at the game so it happens more often than that
@BlueCherryX Even if Hashinshin's mentality/game knowledge aren't the best, he sadly outplaces 99.9% of us anyway. Feelsbadman
Newsflash, riven sucks and has a thousand bad matchups. Range top and you're done for.
@@Dertlecup are you iron? the reason why riven is arguably one of the better top lanners in high elo is due to the fact that with a good player she can be played in pretty much every matchup. The fact that you said "ranged top and you're done for" leads me to believe you're trolling. Of course every top lanner has a worse time dealing with ranged tops, but riven is one of the few melee top lane champions that can actually get on top of them/kill them due to her gap closers and burst when played optimally.

Ok so, to add my own piece of thought, this Riven player actually represents a very big part of the playerbase. A lot of the players are extremely impatient, they constantly want to try and move in and trade with the enemy, they constantly want to fight. They are not thinking if the trade is gonna be good, or how they should play it out, they just go in for it, expecting to win just because "they are better players". The problem is that, if you are smurfing or generally play in lower elo, those trades wil be won, and then you develop a habit of taking bad trades and expecting to win just because the enemy is not good enough to counter you back.
As you climb though, the opponents become better and they will punish you for taking the bad trade, as shown multiple times in this video. Understanding what's wrong with your lane management is fundamental and just because certain stuff worked at some elo doesn't mean it will work higher up.
Generally, players just do not think. They just do dumb stuff just because they believe they are better than their opponents mechanically and they will work out. I've played like 300 Urgot games across 3 accounts in Plat and I can't tell you the amount of braindead players I versed, who would not realize how to even remotely close play the lane or the trades and it's why I managed to get about a 65% winrate on him overall.
League has just become a game of "for fun". Just go in and fight haha. Nobody thinks anymore, nobody understand why they do the things they do, they just autopilot into some play pattern that is either enjoyable to them or believe it works and keep applying it, eventually to the detriment of them and their team.
My question is, at which point do we try to enhance the system to actually punish players like those? It's not exactly inting, but League has already been out for 10 years, players should have developed a certain mindset about gaming in general. It's not just "better mechanics win" or "it's a games, have fun". Gaming becomes more competitive by the years and certain players actually might wanna try and make a career out of it. Ranked games are not supposed to be played for fun. That's why normals are there. Ranked games, you need to tryhard, you need to think and play in such a way that gives you the highest chances of winning. It's been 10 years since League has been out, people surely should have developed healthy habits, but instead, you get diamond players for 5 seasons, who cannot understand BASIC trading patterns, or minion manipulation, powerspikes, resource trading (like that HP is a resource that LS talkled about) and so many other variables. Because they just do not care enough. They believe that they are diamond, so they are good. And then they get matched up against master or challenger players who know what they are doing, like Max, and they make them seem bronzies, exactly because they have no fucking idea how to play the game.
It is sad that people just do not want to try anymore. They do not care about winning, or becoming better, or at least trying to do so. They just wanna "for fun", and then, when something goes wrong and they lose, it's just "ugh Kennen, range abuser", or "ugh my jungler didn't gank", when in reality, most players are just not trying hard enough to see how far their own mistakes go into losing the game.
Am I allowed to make this a copy pasta on reddit everytime I see a bad play or a bad riven
@@1909Fredde Jokes aside, it's true. Everyone can fuck up mechanically, or miscalculate the playout of a trade, but it's one thing to be going into a trade and actually trying to figure out how it's gonna play out based on logic and reasonable bases, and a whole other thing to just go in for it coz "I'm just a better player", especially if you're not
The game has become for fun? Well shit, it's a game after all. I got to diamond on auto pilot, there I am mega hard stuck. Doesn't mean I will try harder or invest time in coaching, I'm casually competitive. Do you have a problem with players like me? That sucks because there are many like me :D
@@ArcaneTricksterRS I agree with you but since they play on Autopilot or wont improve...they wont climb either. The Problem with your thought is just 1 thing: you think that diamonds are somewhat good. No they are not. They are terrible at this game. They rightfully stuck in lowelo. Thats how the ranked System works.
@@1909Fredde It's not that easy to drop, though. Even if you are bad, games are 50-50 and you will be carried in some games to the point that you won't drop fast enough and ruin a lot of games doing so.

why not starting with doran's shield against a range champion?
Because trading(apart from lvl 1 Q trick) and sustain have nothing to do with what he is teaching him here. Its wave manipulation, recalls and knowing matchups. You, much like him did not focus on the right thing.
I wouldn't have thought to ever say this, but hashinshin was right. Riven is an elo amplifier, it indeed was so painful to watch this dude walk around lane, take free hits and not hide in his bush.

Adrian gave me a cool strategy where you stack ur Q level one and use your 3rd towards him and start running at him, if he stops to auto you can beat him with the empowered autos and then when ur q comes back up kill him even through flash. He used it against kennen and killed him but I only found it effective against teemo and maybe some other champ i don't remember.
That laugh at 43:22 merciless lol
Are you feeling it now Mr. Krabs? 🦀
It really triggers me seeing him E up to Kennen when he is in Q range. If you use your Q to engage, you can auto him, W him and then disengage with E to take much less damage. It's best to save at least 1 Q to get extra distance away from him so he can't E to you. If he does E onto you, your creeps hit him and you win the trade more often than not.

One thing I learned from Fogged, against Kennen, better get some sustain. And I see this guy starts with D blade. It may be fine if he can mechanically play better and all-in the Kennen, but that is the same as all-in on double 7's. Plus he had the intention to get Tiamat so that he can clear the wave and get out of the lane where he gets poked at 24/7, then he buys warhammer like what...
honestly i would go for resolve with second wind too if i knew i wouldnt be able to play against kennen
@@danielgouveia6758 I do take second wind and the healing amp one as Trynd as well as take fleet footwork
@@MathStringInputOutpu yeah then his sustain is so crazy, also nice to play mid lane into mages. They'll blow their whole mana on pokeing you while almost not loosing HP, then hard push and make them loose cs under turret or make them take a bad recall. without mana junlge will never kill you so if he comes just waste his time. Once 6 and you know where the jungler is. if they stay under turret without mana just a free dive. Funny part is they always play aggresive early because they think they counter you.

FEEL IT!!!!!
What did the guy say that made LS so angry at 23:48?
LS was telling him to bait the recall, so that when kennen attempts to hold the wave for a freeze or follow him to cancel the recall or if he doesn't he'll have a safe recall considering him not knowing where lee sin is.
stay = ganked by lee
Stay = dive and get either kill, death, or 1 for 1 which is obviously not worth it for him since the wave is pushing to his side and that if he tp's he would get ganked by lee (missing)
So the better option was to recall in a bush to bait kennen in to a kill or safe recall to get boots to go to lane faster since kennen can't really hold the lane to a safe spot for a freeze since he is really low on health.
I know the game is only 1v1 but incase it was put to a real 5v5 scenario that will be the outcome.
In a real game where non-mana jungler of blue side farms he will generally start at red then move up to blue on the 3 minute to 4 minute mark, even in the 1v1 custom LS isn't only teachimg him how to LANE vs kennen but also how to get proper wave control and recall timings since as you saw this guy is really bad in taking trades and recalls.

bought a coach to troll
Can anyone explain the "wave: A, B, C, D" to me? He mentioned it in another coaching session too but idk wtf kind of waves or states of minions the letters are supposed to represent, idk how would the person being coached know either
Wave A refers to the first set of minions (generally the current wave fighting in lane in these cases) you define as “A” in that instance. From that point forward, each of the subsequent/following waves are defined as B, C, etc for however long is necessary. At any point, you may designate another wave you’re currently looking at as A, and go from there.
It’s just a way to define each wave so it’s easier to plan out what you want to do in any given situation.
Perfect.
