  • This is a coaching session where the Orianna player actually plays against Nemesis in his game. Because of this I invited Nemesis to the call and asked if he wanted to partake in the coaching session.

    The more of these I watch, the more I realize that I'm not even playing the same game as these guys. Absolutely blows my mind how deep and complex this game really is at a pro level.

    • @ArcaneTricksterRS
      @ArcaneTricksterRS 4 роки тому +16

      Well, if you play for some time an do not understand that the game is that complex, then you obviously do not have the mindset to play such a game (or most games, in general) and be in a position to climb. No flame, it's just how different minds operate and are able to grasp and identify how certain things work.
      To put this into perspective, just think about how most parents just say "ugh, these are kids' games, go do something more adult", completely missing the point that this "game" is actually so much harder and requires so much more skill and mind capacity than most other "adult" things require. And the real problem is that most kids or even adults accept this perception and think that "ok, it's a kids' game" and then go into a mindset that there's nothing really more to this, when, in reality, it's such a deep game and there are so many things that can happen, to the point that it needs very strong mental capacity and perception, amongst other things, to be able to be good at this game.

    The “you’re overcomplicating it” thing tilted me a little bit too. Like it’s not overcomplicated, there’s just so many intricacies and interactions that people need to be aware of when making decisions. It gives you so much control over what you can do individually for yourself and your team instead of doing something useless like blaming everyone else.
    But hey that’s what happens when we live in a world with people who are accustomed to instant gratification I guess.

Like it sounds cool to talk about waves a,b,c,d, and draw on the screen, but its difficult to imagine for the ordinary player. It would be more useful if you could pull two similar games where it's done right and wrong as a more vivid example (see sabers UA-cam)

      muncho weiro LS is basically predicting how the next waves are going to play out based on the matchup and what each player’s goal is on each wave.

    • @praise_val
      @praise_val 4 роки тому +1

      muncho weiro For sure, it’s super complex so don’t worry about it.
      When he takes wave 3 as “Wave A”, he starts by explaining that since he has played waves 1 and 2 badly, all his next waves until “Wave D” (which would be wave 6) can’t be played with a win condition in mind, in other words he needs to “concede the lane” and wait until basically wave 6 in order to have any opportunity of doing anything to viktor. The lane is basically even at wave 6. That way, he has to “skip” (Either stall or crash the wave and go back to base) the next few waves, in order to arrive at 6 in a favorable state.
      I don’t know what rank are you but if this seems too complicated it’s because it is, and if you don’t know the fundamentals of the game, watching this type of sessions could do more harm than good

    I don't watch a lot of these but LS criticizes like he is coaching live. Of course a lot of these "mistakes" are going to be repeated because that is how the player feels he should be playing.

      It's better to point it out again so the client understands it's a recurring problem that has more to do with his thought process rather than a lapse in reasoning.
      Sometimes you make the wrong move because you're not thinking at the time and those mistakes don't happen again, but if it's a mistake that happens again and again, it's a problem with your thought process.

      That’s literally like saying, “Just look at the news,” when somebody asks you a politics related question. There’s a reason that we’re asking you and not going through like, 5 articles. If we’re asking, we obviously don’t comprehend your thought process. And we obviously don’t want to spend 1 hour rewatching and trying to comprehend the video when you can literally spend 3 minutes or less explaining to us.
