How did you find the honey?! Most people love it, I’ve never been a huge fan although I used to absolutely love homemade hot honey & lemon drinks (amazing for the immune system, but brilliant especially when poorly, soothe the throat & chest so well, & a teaspoon of honey is brilliant for a persistent cough!) I’m diabetic now so I can’t have honey at all sadly. They found out I had a genetic kind so I’m on insulin. I only eat twice a day though, morning and evening, I’m never hungry in the day! I suppose it also depends how active you are & how much of a laborious job you have, my dad was a farmer and he’d eat off of a Turkey plate (giant thing lol), he was ravenous & had his 3 meals a day plus dessert lol. X
I quite liked the honey. It tasted like golden syrup for me. Maybe it's just the type I tried? My nan was diabetic (although, a bad one!), she used to be really naughty and still eat things she shouldn't. It must be difficult. Goodness! Being a farmer must be a hard job, though, so I would imagine he'd have absolutely needed all the energy from 3 big meals 😀 I've never been a person to love food, just eat it because I have to, but I got quite ill a few years ago, and have been trying harder to eat better recently. I'd been anaemic and had iron deficiency for about 20 years, but it got dangerously bad about 3 years ago, and that's when they finally started investigating why. The only problem is now that I seem to be putting on a little extra weight now that my anaemia is a bit more under control. I'm also legally blind, which is a complete pain in the bum!! I don't eat breakfast, and it's 50/50, whether I eat lunch, but I think it's better to eat when you need it, really. I'm a bug fan of a hot dinner, so I wouldn't miss out on that 🤣 Xx
I think a lot of people get into the habit of eating 3 meals a day, whether they're hungry or not, which isn't really that good for you. I never eat breakfast unless we're out for a busy day whilst away. I just eat dinner, usually, but sometimes get hungry for lunch or in the evening. It's different for everyone 😊 x
Sounds silly but have you always been gluten free or is it something you realised was an issue later on in life? If so what’s the one “gluten” product you miss the most?
No, I was diagnosed about 2 years ago after a lot of years of iron deficiency and anaemia. It's been hard to get used to and finding foods that i like, but I'm getting there. It's been funny, actually. I've always been a bit funny with my food, but there are things I never realised I liked so much that I miss now, like synthetic cream doughnuts! They are so delicious, but unless someone makes GF ones that are just as good, I won't be having them again. A lot of the substitutes are just not the same at all, and most aren't nice. I miss a good local takeaway, too. X
Your video are extremely pleasant to listen to ❤. Cheers
Oh, thank you very much 😊 x
Have you tried warburtons gf pittas? They are a game changer
Yes, that's what this one is in the video 😊 I only recently started having them. They're super soft and delicious 😋 x
Yes I told her about them ages ago
@CarolandDave You did, indeed 😊

I've really only eaten one meal a day for most of my life, even when working, except when I'm on holiday, then all bets are off 😊
